    alright as a Bucks fan Im gonna break it down. Dame didn't play good because he was fighting a case to save his kids and secondly every time khris gets a surgery he comes back and averages 20 still. Bucks are top 5

    • @who.won.sports
      @who.won.sports  2 месяца назад

      He’s averaged 15 the past 2 years in 33 and 55 games. Hasn’t even been able to clear 30 mpg anymore and is coming off 2 more surgeries. Their spot on this list is simply because they don’t have the 3rd guy to rely on anymore. They’re higher on the “duo” list when it’s just Giannis/Dame.

    For Dallas i'd argue that the big 3 consists of Luka, Ky and D. Lively, however good PJ may be. The mere fact that i'm not putting PJ or the lesser former half of the splash brothers in there shows the depth and strength of this Dallas team.

    Denver over Boston - you have to be kidding. One thing about a Big Three is that one or two players can take over a game if one or the other is off their game. Aaron Gordon is a limited offensive player who is never going to consistently take over a game. Tatum, Brown, and Porzingis can.

    • @who.won.sports

      Beal was the one hurt most last year but the other two have histories and when they played together, they still weren’t that great. Last time we saw morant with the other two guys they were a top team in the league. Embiid did miss half the year, after winning mvp the year before. It’s a balance of the upside and the concerns. The ceiling is high for the Sixers group if it goes well, but I am concerned about the injuries for all of them.

    PJ Washington is basically living off his performance against okc in the playoffs, he is not an offensive option, they won't call plays for him to score. Same with Lively too they are not a primary option on offense or a big contributer, put them in a game without Luka and Kyrie and see what they do. Klay is the 3rd guy and Lively 4 maybe even Gafford 5 and then PJ 6

    • @who.won.sports
      @who.won.sports  2 месяца назад

      Did you know PJ Washington had the best +/- on the team after the trade?? I didn’t until I was putting this list together. He also plays what might be the most important position in the league right now and doesn’t have to split time with another guy who’s similarly talented like the centers do. Klay should be great for them and maybe next year this list comes out differently. But going in I think PJ is pretty underrated in terms of his importance to their turnaround and finals run last year.

But from an NBA perspective, the combination of those 3 guys has been so effective and nobody seems to have an answer for it outside of Minnesota and I’m not sure if that’s a sustainable solution or a one-off when Murray wasn’t playing great. There’s no other group of 3 that can has as good of a fit and the proven success at this point.

      1/3 of the Bucks “big 3” is 32 and had surgery on BOTH ankles 2 weeks ago. Dame is 34 and looked very disappointing last year vs expectations. I said in the video that it could age poorly, but also they they could. As far as the Warriors, it’s a nod to Steph. I don’t love where I put them, but at least there’s a proven model of success between he and Draymond to fall back on.
      Jazz and Raptors are 1 spot different. To me it’s fairly simple. Lauri vs Barnes is mostly a talent wash and I’d rather have Sexton than Barrett or Quickley. But they’re both bad “big 3s” which is the fun of the exercise!

      I would agree if you’re only considering individual talent of the players. But I also weigh in fit and proven success. We’ve seen that trio dominate on the court playing off of each other and be the reason their team won a title. This spot is more about the 3rd guy being Middleton who hasn’t been healthy and just had 2 surgeries a few weeks ago. The other option is Lopez who will turn 37 late in the season. At least with GSW you have the Steph/Draymond connection that is still highly effective on the court (when Draymond isn’t forgetting he is in the NBA instead of the WWE) and you can see there being upside in Kuminga. The fit is weird because they have 3 guys who initiate a ton of their offense from the same space on the floor. It’s not an insurmountable issue, but it is one that will require them to figure out how to maximize them together.

      Lonzo hasn’t played basketball in 2 years and any expectations of what he is going to look like IF he ever plays again should be low and just happy to see him on the court.

      I find that highly unlikely. The only thing coming out of last year that was clear is that Wemby needs to play with a competent PG. That’s why they went and signed CP3 in the first place. Castle might not even be a point guard. He certainly didn’t play it in college. He might end up being AWESOME. But going into next season I can’t imagine he’s their starting point guard.

    I think that the clippers should definitely be below the Heat. It comes down to that James Harden is aging very poorly and is not what he used to be. Also betting on Kawhii to be healthy is not favorable odds.

    • @who.won.sports
      @who.won.sports  2 месяца назад +1

      You make a fair point but I think Harden is probably adapting the best of the 3 guys in question. Played 72 games last year, still shoots 38% from 3 and has continued to be a facilitator. Kawhi is still the best of the 3 when he is healthy, and is coming off his most games played since San Antonio. Butler is the one I worry about the most because he hasn’t cleared 65 games since Minnesota and all the miles on his tires have been hard miles. I worry about what mid30s is going to do to him. I also hate the fact that I think this because I don’t much care for harden or Kawhi from a fan POV lol. And to tie a bow on the whole thing it’s a “big 3” discussion and Tyler Herro is the weakest link of all of them given how unavailable he has been, somehow worse than this whole group of aging superstars.

      He’s the 3rd scoring option but I see that as more a beneficiary of the action the other 3 are able to do. He gets a lot of open looks because of them. And the advanced stats also favor Gordon’s impact on their success. Particularly on defense where MPJ is not a positive factor.
