    With Sling, we already have TBS, TNT, and truTV. We cut the cord right before last year's March Madness, so the games on those channels just showed up. It's the one major sporting event worth spending the time on even without a specific team or player to follow. We have Max free as part of AT&T Fiber (grandfathered), so we have a second way to watch. CBS requires the use of an antenna, which works fine for us other than not having an OTA DVR. Not much else on broadcast TV is worth the cost of adding an OTA DVR.

      @@MichaelSaves Well, you were one of a few resources we used to help us decide to cut the cord back in early 2023, so thank you! With Sling Blue plus their Total TV option ($61/mo total), we're still in a somewhat Cable 2.0 situation, but my wife has every channel she wants for about 1/3rd the cost of the previous TV service with U-verse just to get those same channels (plus a bunch of others we didn't care about).

    I used to be a NY Giants fan. Now, I watch ZERO sports.
    Gonna cut the cord & go with RUclipsTV as soon as I get my 2nd Roku for my 2nd, final TV. ($72/mo but $62 for 1st 3 months).
    But I'm gonna have OVERLAP... sign up for RUclips TV while my XFINITY is still in use, so we can get used to RUclipsTV streaming, before i CANCEL XFINIITY & return all the XFINITY boxes, remotes, etc.

    Will you be commenting on Fubo adding a new RSN? MASN and what are your thoughts of YTTV getting RSN’s?

    • @MichaelSaves
      @MichaelSaves  6 месяцев назад

      I will mention the Fubo news in an upcoming video. I don't have too many thoughts on it. It's good for people in my hometown! I think it's unlikely RUclips TV will be adding RSNs unless the RSN business model changes.

    I have lg 4k oled tv which i watch all my content on a daily basis. For the full 4k(hdr, dolby vison, and atmos) experence do you think the premuim plans worth it on streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Max(which i have) or should I downgrade to HD plans with ads to save money? Is there a real big difference between the video quality between hd and 4k content?

      I can usually tell a difference, yes. I don’t mind just HD for most programs. It’s a personal decision.

    I understand the streaming services generate more money per viewer on the ad based plans but for some reason 4K and Dolby atmos and higher streaming quality is only on the ad free plan what do you think about the current business model plan

      I touch on this in a video I posted two days ago. I hope you can watch it. I think the streaming services are trying a lot of things to make the numbers work better for them. Most streaming services are not profitable or only slightly profitable at this point, particularly the ones owned by legacy media.
