This is the OST to The Battle of Olympus for the NES! But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D

I like how the gods won't talk to you until you crouch/kneel first. Nice little touch.
Yea.... Kneel before Zod!!! (original superman)...
there even is a god that takes your boots and calls you an idiot if you don`t have enough currency to pay for that item XD haha
Hear the words of the gods: This game is absolutely fantastic! Such great memories of my childhood.
Great Soundtrack. Forest of Peloponnesus was my favorite.
now I remember as a kid, watching my older brother play it! this was WAS FUCKING EPIC!!!
Same!!
The Phrygia soundtrack at 17.20 is my favourite. I loved that game.
Ah, les souvenirs des années 80 🥹
2:32 damn. too epic. could listen to this all day, so eerie and soothing
4:59 love that 8-bit Toccata.
its what brought me here.
Such an underrated title, I wish Nintendo would release it on virtual console
Totally agree, freakin' loved this game.
Yes!
The further you got in this game, the scarier the music got. Huge part of my childhood, defined a lot of my musical tastes in a way. Amazing how a lot of these Japanese composers were so in touch with classical forms, and how they augmented it to suit this 8-bit so long ago
Standout track for me: around the 2:28 mark...
Especially those last two tracks...I remember them well.
The echo/delay at that spot is pretty sweet. ruclips.net/video/tkDYCSYKbrQ/видео.html This one always got me going and all excited.
from the trauma of the A-Bomb was created a superior form of digital music and sound effect Master Keys, 'God's got a sense of humor alright.'
When I was a kid and tried to rent Double Dragon 2 for the weekend and it was already rented out. I was pissed and my mother just rented this game instead cause she though I might like it cause of the cover with dragons and it turned out that I love the game and the music! Brought back memories! Nice Remastering sound WiiGuy!
Don't forget to thank your mom a few more times.
@@thimy69 damn this is the oldest comment I have ever responded to.. 4 years later? Lol I did thank her....back then!😆

A masterpiece! What a memories...
Excellent!
My favorite NES soundtrack to my favorite NES game.
100%
Random purchase back in time and came out of one of the greatest game I've played on NES! Thx for upload brings back old memories :P
I remember being a kid and being kind of scared while playing this game mostly due to the music I love Games that make me feel like that are the most memorable to me
+TheCodedtestament: I felt exactly the same! It was a combination of difficult gameplay plus the eery music that somehow managed to make little 8bit blocky enemies genuinely menacing
This game was severely underrated. This is what Zelda 2 should have been.
@Elanarco Capitalista The irony is, this game copied both Zelda 1 & 2. The look is very similar to 2, but the gated progression is more like the original... oh, and it had Castlevania stairs lol.
it's always been zelda 2 with a castlevania OST for me. the supreme title.
zelda 2 is better, but this is a very good game on its own. And yeah zelda 2 was first so this just copied it so -1 point for that too.
@@wildwest1832 a perfect greek mythology theme gave it +1 point back, tho. Maybe another +1 point for the best Zelda 2 clone i have ever seen on NES.
I disagree. While this is a good game, it's even more illogical and harder than Zelda 2. And I say that as someone who loves both games.
Never got to play this game back in the day, but played it from beginning to end using an emulator back in 2004, just in time for the Athens olympics 🤣
A bit late to the party here, but I stumbled upon this while looking up old NES games to get for my nephew...and it's all coming back to me now.
This game was the SHIT...I remember borrowing it off a friend of mine, never heard of it. They NEED to bring this game back to a new platform and it will be a guaranteed smash ( depending on the developers, of course). I LOVED this game, and its funny reading some of the comments here comparing it to Zelda 2 because I actually remember commenting to my friend about how much the character looked like Link ( just the graphics...the way they made him look, and even the way he swung the sword). I really liked Zelda 2, but liked this game much more and nobody ever seems to talk about it. Thanks for the video, and the memories🙂
12:36 I spent so much time in that forest
Best video game music ever
classic and tough game i remember ending as a kid
My mom bought this off of QVC for me and I don’t know why as my mom never had or has since this game.
Regardless I loved this game and never came close to completing but I still think it’s far superior than Zelda 2
The best RPG for NES and one of my favorite game tunes.
this game had a lot of bass in it on my 90s stereo with kicker speakers. the new systems didn't have the bass that my old system had lol
Star Tropics used to thump too.
Thanks much. Just listened to the OSTs of Kirby's Adventure and Legacy of the Wizard that you posted some time back. Been waiting to hear this one in the clear for a long while.
So many hours of fun times with my NES. Simpler days those were. :)
This is one of those games I never got around to playing, I need to check it out one day soon. Cool soundtrack
Get around to it yet?... It really is a great game. Challenging too.
This is the greatest nes game ever made, I grew up in the era and literally played hundreds of games and I can say this without hesitation.
The greatest Zelda 2 clone of all time.
I love this game so much.
Thanks for the memories, Wiiguy309!
it's not a clone it's an homage to Zelda 2
It’s its own game..
Nice soundtrack :)
So many good memories, and very personal, from this game . Saving her , severeal times and after that one of the best summers EVER. Great Sound Track. ,
Yyyyep... that's a damn good soundtrack.
That boss battle song starting up in this game always made me nervous and I would freeze when I heard that snare drum
Arcadia Green Fields is just awesome. but all the ost was great in this game. i have always admired the people who created great 8-bit music, you really need amazing skills with such limited technical specs.
Gargoyles, amazon warriors and rock throwing birds - and not to forget: the bats, that kicked me down a platform so often ^^
Now THIS is one of those soundtracks I definitely gotta add some drums to sometime! Brilliant music :3
Oh my God I remember having to save on this game with the save-attachment... thing, and always losing the papers that the save codes were written on, and always asking my sister where she put hers.
The theme for Tartarus is just hellish!
OMG the Tartarus song 19:14 is like a character from Punch Out getting crazy throwing uppercuts everywhere.
Now that it's the week of August 4th, I am so excited to be able to take this great work by WiiGuy into those non-internet realms of the world. Turns out, I need this with me always!
Yes you do ;3
I was waiting for this one, thank you
YES! - Thanks for upload. Loved this game.
The boss music was terrifying to me as a child.
What a game
Best way to teach calligraphy to young kids: you write a letter wrong, you start the game all over, :D
my parents got this for me on Christmas of 89 from home shopping network or QVC
Yo... me too!!!
Kick-ass music one might argue.
A lot of kids hated it because of the difficulty level and lousy starting equipment, but I loved it. The theme, the music, the design, amazing!
Finally! Thanks a lot man.
love this game so much, THANK YOU :D
Title screen music is very good
I put in the name of my first love as the girl in this game, and so at least THAT one said she loved me. And I got to go on an adventure and save her from Hades.
Also: "Christine" was too long, so in the time of Greek gods, I rescued CHRIST from hell. Beat that!
The music for Phrygia is actually composed in the Phrygian mode.
No wonder I love this music, listen to “sails of Charon” by the scorpions the lead guitarist Uli Jon Roth does an entire Phrygian intro perhaps the greatest intro in classic rock.
Arcadia Green Fields
Hahaha, I could sing this 30 years later... XD
Incredible.
My first taste of Greece
Remember the words of the Gods:
SxxxxD4ikSDww77!"5.
Operating under a different theology.
I loved this game, but found it extremely hard
It took me over an hour to learn this on guitar ( second song)💀 very tedious but worth it
I really wish this game would come back somewhere 😠
Yay! You finally got around to uploading this! I loved this OST, even though the game could be difficult and a bit obtuse at times... Still, a VERY solid Zelda 2 clone.
I've been looking through Bach Concertos on a tip trying to find where the Crete music comes from. Does anyone know 16:34 ?
Great gme similar a link to the past 4 times i supose i finish
I want a remake of this game on the switch!
Cuz ps4 has GOA
I could never get past those wolves 🐺 😢
I don't think this is the OST music, this might be from another version. The NES version had better timbre.
12:36 is my favorite.
JRPG
I and I shall return after 420 likes, really though, truly yo!...
includes password feature... why was this ever in games?
Mark Nak Limited memory for saved games / might not have had the knowledge to program game saves / allowed for early cheat codes
Otherwise, terrible idea, yeah.
+Mark Nak To proceed where you left of? Better than nothing and you don't have to worry about replacing the battery.
_"Includes password feature... why was this ever in games?"_
Two words: cost cutting.
Including RAM for storing the game saves and a battery to sustain its contents adds to the cost of manufacturing the game pak.
So, to cut costs, an alternative is using a password system for saving and recalling your progress in the game. Of course, it can be tedious to enter the password if it requires entering several characters to resume where you left off.
I hate this game for personal reasons I wont go into here, but thanks so much for posting the soundtrack, it was the only good thing about this game, and it is epic.
Dayumn... sounds heavy
