    this is fantastic. May I know what is the green stuff you used at the beginning for the final trimming?

      The green tape is the 3M™ Knifeless Tape. We have a variety of styles of these knifeless tapes depending on the install in mind. More information: s.3m.com/a8y4nx

    Can you wrap the side of a car that has some rust on the body?

    • @3MCanada
      @3MCanada  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.
      Unfortunately, that's not a recommended application. The rust can affect the adhesion performance of the film.

      Hope this answers your question.

    If I recently paint my car, how long should I wait to wrap my car?

    • @3MCanada
      @3MCanada  4 года назад +2

      Hi Alan, thank you for your question. The paint must be fully cured. You can check with the painter/shop to determine how long it will take for the paint to fully cure. It would be likely better to wait for at least one month.

    Is this applied wet or dry?

    • @3MCanada
      @3MCanada  2 года назад +1

      Hi Bobby - 3M does not recommend or warrant using a wetting solution on the vehicle surface when applying any film with air release channels. However, the installer may use a wetting solution on top of the film layer to provide some slip resistance for the squeegee.

    How long does it last?

    • @3MCanada
      @3MCanada  3 года назад +4

      Thanks for your question. The durability of the film is dependent on a variety of factors such as UV exposure and storage conditions. If this is a daily driver, the durability ranges from 2-7 years based on the degree of verticality and UV exposure. For example, your hood would have a durability of 2 years, while a door would be closer to 7 years, based on UV penetration being higher for a hood compared to the side of a car.
