This was a big hit at the time here in the uk
It was in Atlanta radio in the US when it dropped. Wife and I have been onboard ever since. John Newman albums have been bought & he's a prime piece on our play list for a dozen years by now.
Also, John survived a brain tumor TWICE after this time, had surgeries, and has recovered & gotten married.
ALSO, check out the group RUDIMENTAL, who John Newman does vocals on some bangers with them! His song "Cheating" is fire! And the RUDIMENTAL song he sings, "Feel the Love" is in my "get pumped to excercise/fight depression" motivation playlist...and will make me drive too fast if I'm not careful, and another he did with them "Not Giving In" is *powerful,* but watch both of those with official videos first, because BOTH official videos add to the initial experiences!
Oh, and if you like DJ/Singer Calvin Harris, John Newman sings on the song "Blame" and it's amazing! Calvin Harris is great, with a deep songlist of his own, many you likely know, even if you don't know his name.

I saw him live he was off the scale fantastic, iv still got his water bottle and setlist, every song on his 1st album is fantastic it had a real 60s vibe, then he kinda went poppy and wasnt as popular, lovely guy though, hes had a few brain tumours, hes insane live, electric, if you watch the next vid cheating, you will see a newspaper clipping saying they survived x
