I am hooked on these fabulous stencils. I have several sets, the stencil frame, and the great binder to store them neatly. I am getting quite adept at the 5 stencil airbrushing technique and the cookies are gorgeous.... I do have one problem... I am finding that my nice crisp cookies before decorating, are turning soft and losing all their crispness after I frost and paint them.... is that because the moisture of the paint is being absorbed into the cookie? Is there anything I can do to prohibit that? thank you so much. I really appreciate your professional knowledge....
love as usual. I don't have an airbrush. could u do a video on alternatives? would these stencils work with dabbing the paint on like a normal stencil or even with royal icing?

I just love your airbrush stencil videos. They are true works of art. Is there anything other than alcohol that can be used to clean an airbrush? Could lemon extract be used?

This is amazing! I just started stenciling. How do you get the colors so vibrant? Mine always looks very light even with multiple passes
What kind of alcohol are you using to clean the airbrush with. Like vodka or something else.
I usually flush with water first; then do a more thorough cleaning with cheap vodka.

however the taste just doesn't cut it

Hi Julia, Revisiting this video, I'm wondering if you think it's better to clean out the gun between colors with alcohol or if I'm by my sink should I just use water for flushing and then use alcohol at the end before putting the machine away?

How long do you wait to dry in between stencil layers
I don't have to wait at all, as long as I haven't over-applied the coloring. It dries almost instantaneously otherwise.
How would you package these cookies for shipping or even as a gift?
Presentation is always the hardest part for me.

Thanks for your interest. No, I do not sell my cookies. I only make them for instructional purposes, like these videos.
The cookies are beautiful but that is far too much mucking about for me.
Thanks - though each stenciled cookie takes just a few minutes to do, which is so much faster that one could ever pipe a similar design in royal icing. Stencils are actually a huge time-saver.
