72, retired. I started working for myself in my 20's. I never made a huge amount of money but I never had to worry about somebody giving me a job or losing it. Young people always want to work with computers but if you don't mind working with your hands you can make a decent living. I started off in life as a professional photographer always looking for work then I started doing house renovations and work started looking for me. At one point I had 2 years worth of customers waiting for me big difference to the white collar job. These days all you have to do is find something that you enjoy doing and learn to do it very well then start charging people for your work . start advertising yourself to do that kind of work and get your own customers and you'll never look back.

Jesus has given me strength, to keep going, even though I want to give up. I have two beautiful boys both are autistic. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I lost my job over declining the vaccine. LIKE MANY OTHERS! I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my children since losing my job as a social worker from Forsyth hospital. I’m now waitressing, and I’m thankful, but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Every month is a battle to not end up on the streets with my two children. I’m constantly in fear of losing my home. To even think about being on the streets with two young children is terrifying. But even as I face homelessness seemingly every month. I have faith, God will provide. With GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Faith over fear.

I know someone also with SLE and connective tissue disease. I understand that there are no clinical trials that know the adverse effects since they were excluded. I spoke to a rheumatologist and they say lupus patietns should get the vaccine. Its very disturbing because there are literally no studies on lupus patients. Did your rheumatologist advise you to hold off on the vaccine? Can you get a remote job?

Older workers with years of programming skills aren't getting work either. No wonder the young are anxious, we are ruled by incompetent, greedy, old men and the systems they helped to create.

It's getting tougher that's true. I would advise spending the time and learning new skills that are in demand like programming.

Being a good programmer requires the sort of logical mind few possess. It isn't like learning how to be an electrician or plumber. There are more than enough bad programmers out there, who are about 1% as effective as a good one.

@@deborahfreedman333 also very much true. It was an example of skills you can acquire only and getting some more opportunities to work remotely with a bit effort. There are also opportunities in marketing, tourism and sales if you got the soft skills, some hard skills and especially language proficiency.

@@deborahfreedman333 Comparing electricians with plumbers is a poor example.
I know that you were making a point, however electricians do a lot more mathematics than plumbers.
Electricians also write programming for PLCs. Programmable logic controllers.
I had to learn 3 different programming languages.
Plumbers don't have to have as much knowledge of this type.
Have a great day and be safe
