Shane Dowrich. Fine talented keeper/batsman. Lost his place to Joshua de Silva when he broke his hand on the 2020 New Zealand tour. He hasn't gotten back in. I don't know how his form and fitness is these days or if he's even playing. de Silva has been solid. Pretty good with the gloves and occasionally heroic with the bat, but he hasn't exactly set the world on fire. I always thought Dowrich was the more naturally talented of the two. I doubt he'll get back in to the West Indies team now. It's been 5 years. Stranger things have happened but it's not looking likely. It's a shame so many of the West Indies most talented players are exclusively committed to the shorter formats and don't even play first class cricket, hence no prospects of playing test cricket. I think Shai Hope is probably the best keeper/batsman they have, who has played test cricket before, with a couple of fine moments but no real consistency. Of course, he has found excellent consistency in 50 over ODI cricket. Nicholas Pooran is another who is a brilliant talent in both the limited overs formats, but has barely ever even played first class cricket sadly. He could be a fantastic long format keeper/batsman potentially.

And Skerrit got rid of Primus, who helped West Indies to produce stellar performances on this tour. 2-1 in tests, 2-2 in odi's. I blame the team for giving away the t20 leg of the tour. We should have won that as well.
But especially with the 2-2 result in the odi's; and against this England suit; we would have been well poised to go all the way into the 50 ODI World Cup that year.
But Skerrit did something that has never been done; not just in cricket, but in any sport. He fired the coach on the cusp of a tournament; not to mention, a World Cup.
He fires a coach of this caliber, that helped West Indies produce this stellar performance.
He had to be an idiot or simply didn't have the best interest of West Indies cricket.

Interesting it's beginning to make sense in part why Windies are struggling against England.

I believe that the great players of the West Indies who have retired should have passed on every bit of knowledge they have to the new generation. it makes no sense to have this quality of knowledge just sitting there whereas it can be cultivated by new generations, so they understand what it takes to be great batsmen and bowlers. West Indies owes it to themselves to bring back high quality in both batting and bowling

Values cannnot be imposed the way cash can. Neither can attitudes be changed as garments are. Both must be acquired through learning; inculcated. And such achievement is ALWAYS SYSTEMATIC. Never accidental! 😢

Hold on, I'm watching the bowling and it's line & length. Quite regimented, unlike now. Can someone tell me what has happened to Windies cricket over the years? and the reasons for its demise.
