i feel like a decade ago the mens shoe of choice was that low heel ballroom style except in black suede, not leather ('Comfort' brand for example). I still use these. Over the years the cool kids started wearing those Toms slipper shoes with no socks. Also those jordan frisbee black shiny basketball looking shoes seemed to be on the rise. This dance has become far less formal on the social floor over the decade plus that i've been involved.
Hey David! I couldn't agree more! I wore those black comforts for a hot minute before switching to the red Port Dance I have now. I just love them 🙂I don't wear Toms in real life but tried a pair of the dance versions. I still have them in my travel bag incase I forget my regular shoes. I think we discussed them in a previous video (can't remember) The Jordans are on the rise among the 'cool kids' That's what was in my mind whey I talked about them but I've personally never come across a pair.
