DC Scrapping Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill Superman and Aquaman?

- James Gunn has revealed on Twitter that some of the rumors for the Hollywood Reporter article discussing the DCU are true and some are false. These rumors show that the DCEU has a very complicated future. Henry Cavill is rumored to be leaving again, no more Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa might be out as Aquaman.

Henry Cavill coming back as Superman and James Gunn being the co-head of DC Films made me super excited when announced. Given how tired I am of the MCU and Feige's assembly line approach, Gunn being a filmmaker himself would be a huge plus for future DC directors as he'd grant them way more leeway over their films. Now with these rumours, I'm kinda worried. I don't want to jump to conclusions though so I guess I just have to be patient (I can't get over how rough of a spot WB is in with the Flash. Ezra sabotaged the hell out of it lol)

It's not the actors that is problem. The problem comes from behind the scenes. It's the producers and writer's that have no clue on how to approach DC.
All they do is try and turn DC into Marvel. That's there answer for everything.
I hate being a dc fan. Specifically a superman fan. If cavill and gal arent back them im just done with in terms of the movies. Im sick of the drama, the lack of passion from this company, the disrespect they show to their actors and fans. Can never get a win with dc
I’m fine with getting rid of a lot of Snyder elements (he’s not my cup of tea). But, I want Henry Cavill back under a new director and tone. Just use the Flashpoint movie as a way to change things in Metropolis so we could have a more authentic experience.

That's good news! The current DCEU is a complete discombobulated mess. From Man of Steel, to Black Adam. It need a good reset.
Apparently patty Jenkins had more creative control for WW1984, so if it’s true kinda not surprised they’d drop her. Overall I think the casting for the main heroes was fine just need to fix the direction/writing. Hope they keep them
I completely agree. It's not the actors faults (except Ezra Miller) that films like BvS: DoJ and WW1984 had so many problems, it's more the directors, writers, and studio executives.
I like when the movies take strides to reflect the comics, but...not like this. 😅
Man of Steel ->BVS->JL Snyder Cut is a good, entertaining Superman trilogy--Not the best movies ever, but better overall than the original 5 Superman movies. That plus WW1 and Aquaman is a good universe in my mind. I don't know how they'll play the whole idea of bringing Keaton into this universe, but I'm hoping it's not a mistake. I'm real excited to see the outcome...but the man is 70+ years old and the Batgirl movie was canceled. Hopefully they use this as an opportunity to end the Universe. I'm wondering what everyone would think about creating a new DCEU based around The Batman after he gets a few more solo films. I'd like to see part 2 be one more solo, then in 3-6 yrs when he's in his early 40s, introducing Dick, and maybe even hinting at Damian, have a cameo with a few main characters. Then as he's older 4th or 5th movie, do a proper retelling of Jason Todd and actually have him die.
Also, if they reboot and recast, they should have each main character have their own solo movie before joining in or making cameos. I felt like having Flash's origin and Cyborg's origin tied into what is essentially a Batman/Superman story is a disservice to those characters. So you're telling me Barry has his own suit but hasn't had any major battles or sightings yet and his first mission ever is with the Justice League? Where he's out in public with the whole team in front of Superman's monument and other places? You'd think if he has a suit and knows about the speed force and has rules he doesn't want to break, that he'd have had enough activity to leave enough of a trail, that Batman, who is supposedly a great detective, would have heard about it much sooner. "So, you're fast?"
A full reboot is the only way forward
So basically it's The Batman Cinematic Universe again😂

Kind of a sucks, mostly because I feel like it makes the first few movies of the DCEU sort of a waste. But if anything, when they do go forward with the new DC movies, a part of me hopes that in terms of the core DC heroes and building a long term universe, they cast younger. Like along the lines of Pattensons The Batman. While I don’t hate Henry Cavill or the original DC trinity, I always thought that they should’ve casted young. Especially with the DC movies practically moving at a snails pace.
I guess they're taking people's advice. It's been suggested for a while to just reset everything about the dceu, and it'll probably be easier to do something entirely new
I actually like Wonder Woman 1984
I’m hoping for at least Man of Steel 2 and hoping they will get Zack Snyder for JL2 and JL3. But honestly it’s up in the air and we have to take a grain of salt

Ww84 was the worst movie I've ever seen
Flashpoint will fix everything. You can keep Blue beetle. Shazam was shit and ironically was like a marvel movie. Stupid jokes stupid characters stupid writers stupid everything so reboot that. I dont remember Aquaman. I think everything should be connected like star wars. Movies comics games shows animation. You can have some non canon stuff like superman and lois but let's be honest that's not gettin a season 4. Actually they could have Tyler be superman. He's better anyway and also have Grant Gustin be flash. Maybe dye his hair blond I'd love to see that.
