      Hello,
      Here is the free link to download the software that I use in my tutorials. It is for Windows computers only and there is not an Apple/Mac version. I am also attaching an installation tutorial to tell you “How To Download And Install Microsoft Picture It.” Make sure to follow the directions on the installation video from start to finish as you install, to prevent receiving an error message that will stop the installation process.
      (***UPDATE: There is now an updated version of SHOCKWAVE for Win10, so if you receive the prompt to download it, and you see that it is from the credible source, feel free to download it.***)

      Here is the step by step tutorial, to show you exactly how to download and install the graphic design portion of the software on your Windows computer. Make sure to follow all of these installation instructions, from start to finish, to prevent errors that will stop the installation process or will not allow you to open and run the software correctly. Those who have deviated from this installation guide have always developed errors, so please understand that you will run into errors if you do not follow the tutorial.

      Thank you. I usually upload it to the printing site 6 days before the event, just to make sure the banner is received in time for the event.

    How do we prevent it from being pixilated if we are designing and then printing it in different sizes. For instance I need it to be 60inx60in, canva only allow 50x50

    • @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus

      I start by using high resolution images. I only accept hi-resolution images from customers. If the customer does not have hi res images, I ask for new photos and I test all images the way I test graphics that I find from google searches. When I look for graphics, by searching “hi res, royalty free _____________,” and fill in the blank with what I am looking for. I click on the images that I like and on my 22” monitor, I zoom into the image until it fills up the majority of my screen. If it looks good and does not look pixelated. I know that it will look good on a banner up to 8x8 ft. Then I use BannersOnTheCheap as my print service and if they need to make any adjustments to make the banner look better, they automatically will. So I have had no complaints and my banners turn out looking great.

    Ok so in your fee does that include the printing and designing? Like how do you do your pricing?

    • @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus
      @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus  Год назад

      I include my design fee, and after I upload it to the printer’s website, I add the price of the banner + shipping cost to the customer’s address. I don’t submit the purchase until I have received full payment from the customer.

    How do you make sure images aren't pixelated when printing?

    • @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus
      @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus  Год назад

      You need to request high resolution pictures from your customers and when you search for graphics, search for “hi res free images of ________,” and fill in the blank with what your are looking for. Then when you find images that you want to use, click on the image and zoom into the image until it fills up a good portion of your computer screen. If the image still looks good, it will look good on a banner. Some images with minor pixelation can be improved using apps like, “Remini.” Minor pixelations, after using the screen test that I mentioned above, to get an idea if it will look well on a banner, can be acceptable, because it may still look good when viewed from short and long distances.

    I need help!!! my resolution comes back low and I’ve taken it up. It is still low.

    • @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus
      @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus  Год назад

      Resolution will depend on the images that you are trying to use on the banner. It might look good when it is small on a screen, but when you enlarge the image on screen and it becomes pixelated, it will only look worse when it is blow up on a banner.

    How much do you charge

    • @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus
      @HarriettsCustomComputerArtPlus  2 года назад

      It depends on the banner. My lowest priced banner was $36 and my highest so far was $200 due to multiple photos that need to be retouched.
