Battu Excerpt Mukteswar Temple

Battu is a traditional Odissi composition choreographed by Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra that is dedicated to dancing Shiva as Battukeswar Bhairav. It is based on drum patterns from the folk Gotipua tradition of Odisha and contains musical patterns used for the creation of Odissi’s first lyrical movements.
