I heard the start of this song in a video about 2 or 3 agos. The video was taken down so I was never able to Shazam the song. I FINALLY FUCKING FOUND IT TOO!
Lol right? But they all did a great job making such striking expressions. Also I think they video-edited their eyes larger at least, maybe to give them the almost caracitured classic schoolboy look. I love the video lol.
I remember meeting with my female friend, actually we were close to each other, like a couple, but we agreed that we are not. Once she asked me, what I'm going to remember about her, or what thing will remind me of her if we 'break up' and lose contact at some point. I said that I don't know, and she said that the Sweather Weather song gonna make her think about us. Now I know though, I showed her this HIMYM scene once with this song, I basically listened to this song at that time a lot, and now I feel sad listening to it. It reminds me of her.
This song makes me feel like I’m exploding , like I’m letting out all my pent up emotions all at once . All the sadness and fear and stress and happiness ripping me apart but in a good way . I like it
I read a comment about two years ago when I discovered this song explaining what the lyrics meant to them. I captured the message and now, two years later after ironically experiencing that exact feeling, I can affirm what the songs message is (in my opinion): Its about uncorresponded love; living for somebody that doesn't feel the same about you. It's the dreadful and self-consumming effect of staying with somebody because you love them more than you love yourself. It doesn't matter if they don't love you like you love them, because you will still be there for them; "take your time, I told you I will stay". Thats why I also like the music video a lot, I feel like it reflects beautifully the feeling of bottling and pushing away your emotions for the sake of loving that someone... until you just, can't.
@@apep.8555song can be interpreted many ways, i forget what it was but a creator of something responded to fans interpretation of his work, and he said it was a lot more fun them having their own versions of what it meant, than him simply stating what his art intended. grizzly bear is so unique - they have the talent to create catchy and simple songs that sound entirely fresh and unlike any other band. and all their songs have so many little quirks and hidden layers - it's like exploring a landscape, almost. (my favourite from this album would be 'fine for now') anway, i just wanted to urge people who enjoy this song to listen to the band seaside - 'a sign' or 'the hours' are both great starting points. they are similar to grizzly bear in the way they create huge vocal harmonies and background soundscapes, and i thought they deserve more recognition so i'm just spreading the word :)
I've always admired that in grizzly bear, these songs are almost pop, and yet completely unique (to my ears, anyway). I've listened to couple seaside songs as well, beautiful music, but I'd say their "feel" is quite different from grizzly bear. Which doesn't make them any less awesome, of course! So thank you. :)
I'm halfway through and I gotta back out. Don't wanna waste the impact this would have on me while high. The slight distortion on the faces, the added color to the cheeks, the opening and closing of the eyes, all meant to fool you into thinking you're hallucinating. It's absolutely genius
This song is so bitter sweet for me. Not a lot of tracks can channel hope and despair at the same time and make it beautiful. Here's to the good times we had and the good times we'll have
This song has become my favorite in a short time, the rarity of the video and the beautiful rhythm makes me want to listen to it non-stop, and just like the lyrics identify me at a certain point, just perfect.
Coming back to this nostalgic song. Man it makes me feel such deep feelings. I feel like I time traveled to the past to feel the feelings of that year. I haven't felt that different in such a long time. I feel like I can fly. I feel so bliss, happy, and joyful.
