So awesome, love the quality of this and seeing Kevin's experience. It felt so similar to my own experience in my first season of GLTC. Thrown completely into the deep end. Awesome stuff, can't wait to see more.
Alex Freeman is one of my favorite motorsport videographers and creators. Seriously. Alex’s ability to tell stories in motorsports is top notch, among the best. And the in-car and on-car views make it exciting! This just proves that real racing can be exciting when done properly. Keep it up! Can’t wait for the next one.
Cheers dude! Really appreciate the kind words. It makes the effort and commitment really feel worth it to hear how the films resonate with people. Racing is life, everything else is just waiting.
This was SO cool!! First off the production was incredible, definitely world-class. Second, great concept! This is so cool watching someone in their life during an event such as this! Third, I can't wait to see more!!
great job editing. the dialogue with you in between track shots snd the multitude of cameras! so good 👍. you're not bad either out there. in California we have Mazda Miata spec league. isn't that out there where you are? I can't imagine you being competitive with corvettes, gr86s, and s2000s
i Want to get to this level of confidence when it comes to overall motorsport anything (saying this without a DL), Motorsports is the only thing i really enjoy and i want to be in that drives seat as much as anyone else. I hope and pray ill be a new face to gltc or time attack. Hell, maybe even get p1
Honest question: How much previous track experience do you need to be in the GLTC class? How much experience did Kevin have? GLTC seems to be the most competitive of all the classes, so how does someone break into that atmosphere?
You need the confidence to control the car to stay out of harms way. Pace comes with time. I’m basically brand new to racing but have a good bit of HPDE experience over the last 10 years. I jumped into the deep end and it’s been humbling and probably the most rewarding thing I’ve done.
@@bandygram Makes sense with dealing with the added traffic on the track. I’ve done only 3 full track days and maybe 60 laps on one track that’s local. My goal is to do a consistent Gridlife series. Did you do a lot of HPDE thru local orgs, or like SCCA type orgs?
@@lakalister I’ve done a ton of HPDE events with JZilla Trackdays in the southeast mostly. I’ve run with various orgs and 21 tracks so far. Get out there and try different orgs and different tracks. Definitely do the HPDE with Gridlife as well so you’ll get to meet many people like me who started in gridlife after doing Trackdays.
@@bandygram bet! Thank you for the reply dude! Massive congrats on the awesome lap times and kicking ass this past weekend! Hopefully I’ll see you someday on the track! 💪🏼

Thanks guys! Means a lot, glad the story resonated
-4 seconds on lap time is impressive! This was great to watch. Love seeing the progress! That last apex trap speed was 🔥! Following!
Dude working up confidence and finally hitting a corner at the cars max potential is so satisfying
“That’s my car but I wasn’t driving it.” 😭

Literally love this series already.
