      @@BackDraftBikes After the oil change when your bike is cold (assuming you put 3.5 liters in) and on the center stand where is the oil in the red circle on the side glass? Thank you.

      Yes- you have to pay for the full version or it will only let you 'preview' the features.

    Hi, I have the same bike as you. Can you tell me where and which model of handlebar mirrors you mounted and if you made any particular changes? Thank you very much ✌️

      I actually didn’t purchase them. They came with the bike so I’m sorry I don’t know.

    Great video! Does the red ring on the site window spec for full? I put 3.5 litres in it just looks low. No manual either.

    • @BackDraftBikes
      @BackDraftBikes  7 месяцев назад

      the red ring tells you if the oil level is between low and high respectively. Make sure to run the bike up to temp and shut it off, let it sit for 1 minute on the center stand, and then check, for the most accurate reading.

      My manual calls for 4 liters with a filter change on my 2021 model.
      I personally put 3.8 liters in my bike.

    Why not use BMW Oil? I thought the book says we "must" use the BMW oil only? Please advise thanks

      No, you have to use Motoscan. Generic OBD won't work. Thank you germans.

    Little recommendation, shake the bike slightly with handle bar and push down and up slightly, got more dirty oil coming out… thank you for the tips.

      While draining on the center stand?

    Not sure why you worked this service from the right side of the bike? You know ... the removal of the oil filter is done from the left side of the bike. That does not require removal of any other component (oil cooler line) because you can just pull the filter out with no obstacles.

      I wondered that myself, I had a 2015, now a 2022. Getting ready to do this, I don’t want take a non leaking oil line off if I don’t have to.

    will the dealers/stealers see it if you reset service interval yourself? does it void the warranty?

    • @BackDraftBikes
      @BackDraftBikes  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes they can see EVERYTHING you do on the bike. Does it void the warranty? If you are in the US then no, there have been cases that show that a qualified person can maintain their bike (google magnusun-moss) but I always save my receipts and take a picture for good measure.

    newer seen people removing oil cooler pipe when changing oil- does it says in the manual that got to be done, or its just you?

    • @BackDraftBikes
      @BackDraftBikes  9 месяцев назад +1

      I do not have the service manual, but as an experienced bike mechanic I don't see how you can change the filter without doing it on the second gen. First gen, yes no problem.
