Great presentation! I've watched a lot of these type of videos and this is one of the best I've seen. I like the way you explain everything you are doing and attention to detail.
I would need to... adjust this design, I have a drill collecting problem lol Might need 2 & 1/2 of these. I really like how this one looks, though. I think I have enough leftover/scraps to build what I'd need. Thanks for this video!
Hey man yea I know what u mean the one I build for myself I think has 8 slots and it’s already full but yeah man take the design make it your own and built to fit your needs! And having plenty of scrap around to build stuff like this always comes in handy! I will say try not to use 1/2” and stick with the 3/4” cuz I made my prototype out of the 1/2” and it tended to warp under the weight. But I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
@@ShepherdsWorkbench I appreciate the smoother curves. It seems like the majority of the drill stations I see are sharper/squared off, and there is nothing wrong with that but It’s always nice to see a common item made a little different! And the dowels! 👏🏼
@@Zmaslanik Thanks man Yea I think i mentioned it in the video I had one that was squared off and it looked cool with the square corners but it was just rough on the hands. But thank man I'm glad you enjoyed the build
Yea I found someone on marketplace that was giving it away for free I had a ton of it so I thought why not! Yea it looks really cool and the benefits far out weigh the down falls but I will say the only problem is that my bench in not perfectly flat some of them have ridges but I honestly didn’t care about that
But thank you! And thanks for checking out the video! I made a video on my assembly table so I talk about how I made it and was able to mitigate some of that warping to get it somewhat flat
Nice presentation although there are a few things I would like to add. 1) if you are going to present it internationally PLEASE use metric units!!!! I mean do you count in Roman numerals? Maybe you would prefer to measure in cubits or be paid in denarii (Actually I would like to be paid in denarii they are very valuable nowadays) but please note that you are not speaking Latin so please make your measurements suitable. Now I know that you Americans do use feet and inches for some inexplicable reason (do you have twelve fingers? do you walk around on three legs, if so, how come you don't fall over every 4th step?) so maybe give BOTH imperial and metric measurements its easy to btain rulers with both. Now I am old enough to remember imperial measurements when I was at primary school but my kids don't know what inches are, let alone my grandchildren. You have to admit that it is difficult to work out what 7/16th of an inch is in yards 2) Your way to use a sanding disc between your knees is very convenient provided you have finished all attempts at having children. Even then if you have an accident the medical bills would be quite expensive. Take advice from an old surgeon, Very old actually. Get a bench stationary sanding disk they are not expensive , at least not as expensive as surgery to your unmentionables!🤒
Hey thank you for checking out the video I appreciate u checking it out. And the truth is I don’t have a familiarity enough with metric units so I use what I am comfortable with thankfully there are online tools for you to use to be able to convert them if u were wanting to make this for yourself and as far as the sander goes I appreciate you looking out for me I will definitely be more careful with that in consideration
I really like how that turned out. Nice gesture too.
Very nice work!
Great video. You can tell you put the extra effort to make it look nicer.

Nice instruction and project, but the music is W-A-Y T-O-O L-O-U-D.
Yea sorry about that this was one of my earlier videos lol I’ve learned since then
What are the dimensions of the cut out last you did for slots ?
Do you mean the size of the square ports or the slots that the handle of the drill slides into?
Hmm I guess both. I would like to tackle this one. Ya did a great job !
@@billmurphy7881 if u send me an email I can send u some pictures with all the measurements joe@shepherdsworkbench.com
Do you have the dimensions for the cuts listed anywhere?
Yea send me an email joe@shepherdsworkbench.com and I can send you all the measurements
Awesome projects how do I have you make a organizer for my executive assistant, Brooke?
Send me an email with a design idea at shepherdsworkbenchllc@gmail.com I’ll create a 3D model and when we settle on a design I’ll build it in my shop
