- Every Christian is called to live a life of discipleship. In fact, Dr. Stanley calls discipleship, “the mission and the ministry of the church.”
Many people believe, and rightly so, that God is a giving God. He loves to give His children good gifts! At the same time, believers are called to love God with all that we are-our heart, mind, and strength (Deut. 6:5). To be a true disciple requires our devotion.
In this message, Dr. Stanley explains that devotion to Jesus demands that our love and loyalty to Him exceed our love and loyalty to all others. Devotion to Jesus means that we are willing to suffer for His sake. Devotion to Jesus means we are willing to follow Him in obedience and sincere faith. Devotion is the cost of being a disciple.

Not My Will, but Thy Will Be Done! ✝
I have lost my parents, sister, brother, two daughters, six grandchildren and all my friends. I am living alone with my Christian husband. We can't even find a true church in our community, because they are all teaching false doctrine. But even with all of this loss, God has given me peace and I love Jesus more than anything. Charles Stanley was a wonderful pastor and teacher. His son Andy is probably bitter because his dad was a true disciple of Christ, which is why Andy is teaching lies.
Jesus saved me at home in October 1991, by speaking to me the first time, I was changed immediately, and I started going to church, but in 1998 I began to have problems at church, so I decided to stop going for a spell, on the second Sunday that I was out of church I was walking in to my kitchen and I thought, I need to go back to church, right then Jesus said this:
"Are you going to follow me?
Or are you going to follow the church?"
Idk what the church is doing, but I am following Jesus.
God bless y'all, no matter what you loose in following Jesus, it's worth it.
Jesus is the Everlasting Father, Mighty God!

His angry bossy voice puts me off. So much easier to listen to him as he got older.
There is no anger in his voice. He is preaching. He is a man with a voice of a man, exclaiming the word of God! He is talking with passion and earnest.
