@@silvertrooper6 thanks bro. And no, you do not have to use a separate remote for led blinky. The system comes on automatically when the machine is powered on and off and is configured to light up correctly for the individual games.

@@marker1123 if you're referring to LED Blinky and all of its components, I think it says $550 on the price list. Not going to argue with ya about inflated prices because yeah, they all do that. However having installed LED Blinky and the pacled boards myself on my other machine, I can tell you that it costs about that much money just to buy the shit. It's like $7 per button and $60 per pacled board (pretty sure this build required three of them). Shit adds up quick.
that RGB mold is slick, love the eclipse buttons though. What made you go with a ultimate pedestal instead of another megacade? Or are you keeping both?

Wow he spent 2 minutes on the specs, goes over 50tb first and doesn't even mention what i7 CPU it is? WTF? Yeah its an i7 and should be good for retro emulation but what about PS3 emulation?
$3500-5000 for one of these pedestals and they are putting a sub $200 RTX 3050 in the computer... You gotta be braindead to see that as a good deal.. That card is absolute trash.
As someone who makes these machines in large quantities, the price is totally justified. The curated games on the drive is worth the cost alone. Hours and hours get spent updating and curating these libraries, sourcing artwork and making everything play nicely together. Add the build materials and electronics into this mix and the cost is totally worth it. You might be able to save $1000-$1500 if you DIY.
"Good deal" is subjective to the quality of work someone could do themselves. Also it is worth mentioning to upgrade to a better gpu and cpu is pretty cheap. It really depends on what you want, if you are just going for retro arcade and emulation a 3050 is all you will ever need.
Consider that in addition to all of the things that others listed above, a company has to price these things to cover the overhead of employees, utilities, r&d, and other hidden costs of having a business. Far too often, I see comments like this and it immediately tells me that people have no idea how much it takes to keep a business operational.
@@JB-tp6ujI think it's because most people in this hobby are capable of doing all of this stuff themselves, so it seems difficult to justify paying someone else to do it. As you rightly point out though, if you are expecting someone else to do all the work for you, then you should expect to pay for the privilege. They aren't going to work for free, and they have overheads to cover.
