Your crockpot is actually a rice maker. The white scoop is traditionally sold with every rice maker. You’ve got a great haul.”If you have Barbie’s who drink, this is a good deal” except that the one bottle looks exactly like aged soy sauce and one looks like Worcestershire. Now that’s what I call a drinking problem!
Those are the right size for Magnum Bottles. Or warehouse store bottles. It's easy to forget that so many things are available in a variety of sizes in our world.
I just found your site recently. I am. It really into miniatures but I have watched my daughter, over the years, turn loose end and bits into amazing scenes and vignettes. She didn’t have many dollhouse sites listed in her subscription but yours was one of the few she visited often. She passed away last January. She was an avid miniaturist collected. I’m sure she found your videos, about purchasing from vendors are clear, incisive and informative. There are no ugly surprises when one goes to purchase miniatures from a site. You list prices and your opinion of the quality of the item. The latter is especially helpful, or was to Lucy.
The silvery tool that came with the green cutting mat (and of which you also ordered an extra one) is called a Vernier caliper. It's used to make very accurate measurements of the outside aspect of an object. It's benefit is that it minimises error to half the unit of scale and is used in laboratories and situations where accuracy is key. I've only recently discovered your channel, but your work is INSPIRING and so is your level of patience. Thanks so much for sharing what you do. Even if I never make any of the ideas in my head, it's been fun planning and having lessons from you. XX
Think the fancy iron is an antique iron where hot coals were placed inside to make the iron hot. That explains the hinge and the top part to open up to add coals inside.
With the antique iron they used to take a rectangular part out of the back and heat it over a fire to get it hot. They'd then insert it into the iron to make the iron hot to use. LOVE your haul, can't wait to see what you do with them!
That's really clever! It sounds like a dangerous and time consuming way to iron. I would've been running around with wrinkled clothing 😆 That's too much work.
Except for a few purchases on sale at Hobby Lobby and Michaels, most of my pieces are from Temu. Love that you displayed all your pieces unwrapped and your warnings to scale properly before buying. I've wound up with some pieces that are begging for another house or room. FAIR WARNING, it's addictive.😊
I bought these items in four different shopping sprees, so I agree it's addictictice 😬 Their 1 click pay combined shipping is a beast. I got sucked in bc they were running ads constantly on RUclips, then I started seeing miniature haul videos and I was a goner. Looking at the sizes is so important. I checked and every item I bought showed accurate dimensions. I just didn't look. You can't trust the scale listed in the title.
The irons at that time used coals to heat the metal plate. One opened the hinge, slid little coals in and tried not to burn your fingers as you flattened your sheets.
@Nilda Rodriguez Your comment made me think about box mangles. There's still people here who prefer to use these huge beasts (even though they've been known to cause maimings and fatalities) instead of modern mangles!
Probably it was faster than the solid irons you'd have to keep reheating on the stove or fire. Easier to just put new coals in. Trickier to not get soot or ash smuts on your clean laundry. Glad we have electric irons now!
I have the Roaming In Paris miniture set and I absolutely love how it turned out. It wasn't too hard to put together, but time consuming to say the least. Nice mini haul, great ideas, tyfs.
So funny how everyone has their particular preferences. I hate aging things (which you're so good at!), but I don't mind cutting things out. ❤ I have to go look for that quill pen! 😍
I got 4 curly feathers at Earth & Tree Miniature Shop and stuck one into the earring back to make the quill. That was for my Steampunk Diorama. I probably should've mentioned that in the video 😆 That's so funny! I love aging things. That's why I'm making the French Boutique; to please my viewers who like a clean, pretty aesthetic now that my abandoned lab is done.
I just rewatched, and saw what I had missed on the quill pen. Well, I'll figure out a way to make it. Plus, I noticed the hanging scale, so I'll go check that out! ❤ I could see that the weights on the scale were magnetic, which was why they were knocking the hanging pieces down.
I ordered from Temu, minis, craft supplies, jewelry components, and 2 small statues. Everything was there, nothing was damaged, and I actually loved everything. I was pleasantly surprised and just placed another order. Oh yes, it came in 8 days! You got some cute stuff!!!!
I was horrified when I saw the four plastic bags of stuff, but I guess they know what they're doing bc I only had 1 tiny item that was damaged and I don't think it happened during shipping. I was kind of hoping my order would be late so I could get the $5 credit, but it arrived early 😆
@@queencityminis I had actually watched about a dozen review videos before I ordered because I was so skeptical of it. Almost every person commented on the plastic bag, how worried they were until they got it opened up. So I was expecting to see the bag but still am surprised by the lack of damage. I got that same little stove you got, delighted to discover that it Lit up, because I didn't see that in the listing. Temu isn't going to stop us from making stuff but it sure has some nice accessories! Or as we call them, extra details. I'm making a 1:144 scale neighborhood and I actually found tiny people for it on there. They are so adorable!!! I want to thank you for helping me understand scale. You and Ara Bentley have helped me so so much with the technical side of making minis. Not sure why I have struggled because I was always good at math, but I guess it just had to finally click. ❤️
Such an amazing haul !! I've had a cart stuffed with so many things I've been wanting to get, but I was hesitant to put out the money and get a bunch of trashy items !! Seeing everything you've gotten gave me the courage and I'm sorting through all of the items checking out the sizes and making sure that everything is the correct size..... Now I can't wait to get everything !! I'm gonna try one of those kits and I'm going to make it mine ! And I agree with the paper flooring , I'm going to make a real wooden floor !! Thank you for your time showing and explaining everything I really appreciate your help and information !!
i've purchased a lot of mini's from temu, and while a lot of the cheapest items badly needed a paint job [which i enjoy] there wasn't anything i found beyond help. i did pull a few plants out of the pots, but look closely at everything and you can see they weren't very good, so they can get pushed to the back of a scene. good luck and happy hunting! definitely check measurements, in cm, i found the inches to be not accurate, don't believe a 1/12 label
I appreciate seeing this haul! Temu is “hard to resist” as their prices are so good! You’re right - checking details, quantity, etc before ordering is key …but enthusiasm gets in (my) way at times. Haha. I purchased the orange juice pitcher and glasses and was happy with those for my house. Looking forward to seeing what you do with all of the items! Thanks much, Kathleen
I hear you, Kathleen! That's exactly what happened. I started rapid fire adding things to my cart and forgot all about checking the description and dimensions. Temu does a great job of accurately describing an item, so the information is there (if you look 👀)
TEMU is addicting! 😁 LOL I was looking for journaling items and didn't notice the miniatures. Now I want to place another order! 😊 I think that the little kit that comes with a tin would be fun to make. Actually, I want to order most of the items that you ordered. I love the fireplace but have nothing planned to use it in. Have fun using the miniatures. I want to see what you make that includes some of these miniatures. 😁 You make some of the best miniature dioramas.
Thank you so much! I can't imagine what I'll use the modern items for (the rice cooker, coffee makers etc), but I can find a use for many of the things. I want to add simple custom details to most. I'll assemble the miniature tin kit first.
Nice to actually SEE the size. I learned the hard way to check sizes. Luckily I’m buying for my 4 year old granddaughters and they honestly don’t care about sizes yet!
Yes! Finally. I've been teasing that project since I started my channel. I'm nervous to get it going since there are things I need to do that I hate (like printing tapestries for the walls. I hate dealing with technology. I get frustrated so fast). But there will be lots of fun to be had.
Thank you for your heart, calm, entertainment and laughs. Love your channel. Surprises me you never used a pin vise drill with all your beautiful detail and precision. Growth always. Like the inspiration your channel provides. 💫
I thought the drill I bought was better than a pin vise, so I bought it for $12 or something crazy. I've been sticking with it this whole time but for $3, I'm happy to have the proper tool instead. Who use both hands when they're drilling such tiny holes?
My daughter helped me get started navigating Temu. I do all sorts of random crafts, mostly trinket boxes but I'm trying to learn how to make miniatures. I just got a few things in the mail today. I got several silicone molds, a miniature piano, and mininiature sewing kit. I got a dress form but it is Barbie size. You've given me lots of ideas! Btw, I get so confused about the scale of things. You're a great teacher!
This was so awesome. Thank you! I always look at measurements over scale. If the measurements are right then it doesn't matter what they SAY the scale is.
Haha I am with you on cutting things out... I would rather sand something than cut a bunch of stuff out (and I hate sanding)! I look forward to seeing how you change up some of these like the sewing machine you mentioned!
I'd rather sand, too. Probably bc you don't have to pay nearly as much attention so you can watch a show while doing it. Maybe I'll hire a few children to cut the items out for me 😆 I am really excited to customize the minis! Most mass produced minis are 1 or 2 simple details away from being really special.
Wow! Did not know they Sold Mini's that Would make a Set Complete. I Want to Now Play with All those.😂 I've Always wanted a Miniature Troll House in my Small yard.
You got some great stuff! I found some thin strips of wood that are sold as candle wicks but make great wood flooring when stained and cut to size. Also some great tiny scale picture frames sold as nail decorations.
I'm so happy that you made this video. I buy miniatures from Temu all the time and it's great to see what you've brought from them, and what you think of it. I was going to buy the tea cup and saucer that you have, but I thought it looked too yellow in colour, but actually it looks great here, so I might go back and get it 😄. I'm making a Book Nook and Temu's very good for buying miniature items to go inside it because they're not too expensive. I mean sometimes you get stuff that's poor quality, but most of the things I buy are very nice, and I can distress anything that looks too new and shiny for my purposes, such as the 2 gold candlesticks I bought which I've aged with some darker bronze metallic paint. Love from Amanda Jones in Australia
Yes, I've been very happy with the stuff I've purchased from Temu. I've heard they're just aggressively selling and losing money at this time, in the hopes that people will develop the habit of shopping there.
Thank you! I used to struggle with debilitating anxiety. I was on disability for it. Let me know if you'd like to know how I overcame it. I had to do it on my own using a self-help book bc I was too broke to go to therapy.
As long as you don't sell the items you do this with you can make the cost of things, like those awesome little nail stickers, better by photo copying them on sticker paper and make all the tiles you need. You can also resize them to fit that way too. And those for those adorable little planters? I'd make molds of those and make them out of air dry clay. Ok, gotta watch more of the video. Just had to say that so I wouldn't forget hahaha Cute stuff. Yeah, I'd make molds of everything possible haha I think your crock pot is actually a rice cooker😊
Omg I just found your channel and I’m obsessed! You are awesome. Everything you share and teach is so helpful in starting out, as I am. I also really appreciate that you express what you don’t like and how to fix it. And when you talk about how you would do something different next time. I love how you use a lot of everyday items in your scenes. You rock! Thank you for all your sharing!! ❤
I'm so glad! Thank you! Most of my viewers don't make miniatures, so I like my videos to be entertaining, but also informative for people who do make miniatures.
I just found your channel tonight. I am so glad I did. I have been wondering about Temu miniatures as I wanted to start making some of the kits and get into making miniatures. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
You can add beads to beadcaps, so they look like fancy teapots, Christmas baubles, and lots of other ideas. I’m a beader who has made one Diamond Painting. I’ve long been interested in miniatures.
I love your sense of humor. I just stumbled across your channel earlier this week and have been watching a few of your videos everyday. I love your creativity. I have always made all my mini accessories from "trash" but I shop on temu regularly so I am definitely going to explore their miniatures section more. Oh and I find your voice so soothing I've found myself falling asleep to your videos the past 3 nights lol
I like all the different tools you can get for pretty cheap. I look for different bits to go in my dremel and actually went to an estate sale and found a mess load of dental tools that work lovely. Amazing but they do what I need done. I love the little 3 tiered shelf for storage that is cute. I will get on Temu and see what I can find. You have a great day and thanks for sharing
Using the dremel will allow you to draw on wood slats and then carve out design you just did. Also using that flower mold will give the old Victorian look to furniture, window and door casements, Plus those big roses can be used on the ceiling where the lights are hanging. Just more opportunities Have fun@@queencityminis
Oh wow! I didn't even see the bamboo skewers when I ordered! Tiny key hole minis and I think the iron will open, it's just stuck from being dipped. She's going to heat it and try to open it. Hot rocks were also used in those irons to make them hot. Coal would sometimes leave black marks and pop out cinders, making holes in the sheets. I LOVE TEMU! Ive made 4 orders in the past 4 months! The taller bottles could be used as wine bottles. Bead caps are great for lamp bases, fineals, spacers, just a few i can remember right now. I love the quality, it's really surprisingly shocking especially when you consider the price. Awesone video and unboxing!! 25:12
Of course! Lamps. I've seen so many minis made from bead caps and drew a blank. I need some more. The ones I bought are plastic. I need some thing, filigree metal ones, too. (Yes, NEED) I'm psyched about the toothpicks! I love having the smalls ones and big ones at my disposal. The iron really does look like it could open but mine refuses. Maybe a heat gun would coax it along. The quality is definitely much better than other cheap places I've bought minis from (Minimum World & Ali Express). I won't lie. I ordered more items today 😬
@@queencityminis yes, NEED!!! LoL😂 I love the fact that they're actually bamboo... not just balsa or bass wood. I have found some really large and ornate caps at Hobby Lobby that I think I'm gonna make lamp shades with. The heat gun will, hopefully, open it up. I didn't know anything about the price difference credit! Thank you for sharing that bit of valuable information! I don't think I've had any items that fell into that category. Than you for always sharing your beautiful creations and encouraging your viewers!
I really love the old-fashioned fireplace that lights up!! It looks great!! I just started ordering from Temu again recently! They have such cool things! The cute little UPS boxes are awesome TFS!
What great finds. The old irons used to open in order to put hot coal inside - however, I still haven't found a miniature one that opens. If you have a doubt between plastic and glass, slightly tap it on your tooth. If it makes a dull sound, it means it is plastic. I look forward to see what will do with everything!! You have great ideas.
@Queen City Minis There is an iron that opens. I've seen it on someone's site for miniatures just here recently. I'm sorry tho, I can't remember who it was. But I do remember the iron did open and I'm pretty sure that the bottom of it was brass(which you can always paint). I just wanted to let you know that there is one out there somewhere. Happy hunting! 😊
I bought 4 miniature rooms for under 10$ each. I think I will have more creative space to do something different when I havn't spent a huge amount of money on the kit itself. So happy I found your channel!
Oh hey, that crock pot is actually a rice cooker and the spoon is a rice paddle that comes with rice makers. :) I really love all these minis! Especially the wood stove that lights up, and the three tiered cart. I’m going to have to do some shopping! Editing to add- those miniature kits will get addicting lol. I’m sure you’ll have fun with them, and they’re super fun to alter and make your own!
Minis were the first items I ordered from TEMU but I did not check the dimensions, but yes I do pay attention now. I ordered that same little fireplace and it was also my favorite. I also built one of those kits which was a labor of love! Lots of cutting. 😂
Oh no! What have I done? I don't think I can cope with all that cutting and folding 😆 I'll need to improvise. I know I won't be cutting all that stuff out.
Wasn't this so fun?! I'm sure we're all shopping now. 😄 Barbies that drink 😂 You positively SLAY me ! My faves were the black scale, the blender, the cinder blocks, the craft mat set , the guitar w stand and best of all the boom box!!! Wow the detail Oh and all the tools😍 I like when you go shopping! 🤩🥳👏👏👏😍✨
Thank you! The craft mat was so thick, I actually ripped it into two thin mats! It's double sided. I cut around the edges with an exacto knife, then started pulling the felt apart.
I am glad you did a Temu haul video. I have had mixed feelings about buying from them. But now that I have seen this, I might give them a try 😊 I cannot wait to see the Gryffindor common room!
I am loving Temu, and I especially love their ethical practices of not producing fast fashion, child labor, indentured servants etc. That's more important than price. Finally! The Gryffindor Common Room. It'll be my biggest project yet.
Those kits always come with lights. Idk what I think about that. You can use it to power the sconce lantern lights you got. I’ve seen the bead caps used in perfume bottles and lamp bases as well as vase tops. As for the oversized items, maybe you can have them peeking out of bags and boxes in your basement project. I hate the thought of anything going to waste. I seem to have a comment for every one of your items but I have to say when I saw the violin bow I actually laughed out loud. Looks like you could do archery with it😂. Anyway, looks like I have to go to timu for all the items I’ll never use.
The violin bow is so bulky 😆 Nothing will go to waste for sure. I know I can use every item I bought in the basement diorama (although now I'm thinking it should be a garage diorama...) I love when things light up. I bought a bunch of cheap Amazon fairy lights and have been using them to light up as many projects as I can. I just hope the lights in the tin kit are simple to use.
@@queencityminis you just have to look at the diagrams carefully. Also don’t cut anything out until you get to it in the instructions or you’ll never find it or know which is what again. Also I was surprised when you said you don’t like cutting things out. That’s the easiest part!
so great! i found most of the things in my stash as well. :)) i love collecting miniatures, but i also love collecting "trash" and everything else that can be diverted from its intended use, as nail art and jewellery items, things from the hardware section in the diy markets. if you are walking around with open eyes you discover so many things that can be "miniaturized". unfortunately many miniatures sold as 1/12 scale are often too big. i lay emphasis on a natural look that also includes that everything is in scale. i can't wait to see you using and modifying your haul... greetings from switzerland :)
I love turning everyday items into miniatures or making minis from trash! It's so satisfying. Very true. A lot of minis are out of scale. Canned food is usually the equivalent of 7 inches, about 25% too big. I love Chrysnbon kits because everything is perfectly to scale, so it looks realistic.
FYI the cassette tape actually completely comes out, it only goes back in a certain vesy (can't remember which way 😊) I got the same one, I didn't realize the battery compartment opens though. I love mine so much. Temu is awesome for most things. Overall a high percentage of great items.❤
Hi there! Great haul. So i work mostly in 1:24 and smaller because i have a serious lack of storage space.. i have a few kits. I can say they a lot of the time aren't 1:24.. they are something between 1:24 and 1:48. Rolife kits are more like 1:18. If you don't like cutting things out you may not enjoy them though.. there is a lot of cutting and folding. There is a lot of youtube videos that show people assembling. I hope you enjoy!!
I've watched so many videos of people assembling these kits. I love watching them, so I figured it would be fun to make a few of my own. I didn't realize how much cutting they're doing behind the scenes! Mini Station is one of my faves: ruclips.net/video/H4p4C6OVDBw/видео.html&feature=share8 I think I'll start out with the tin kit first, to dip my toes in the water.
I bought coffee maker too and you’re right it’s too large. I should have checked measurements! But I love the little coffee cups and saucers. Your haul is full of greats things💜💜💜
So after I saw your Paris kit, I immediately went on line & bought one...😮💨 I'll probably go crazy putting it together but I felt like I should at least try since I am a French teacher 😆
I bet there is so much cool miniatures on there. I’m glad you had a good experience shopping on that site. Mine wasn’t. I tried a few kitchen items that were very poorly made and broke on first use. I also thought it wasn’t user friendly. There’s so much that it’s overwhelming. I won’t buy from them again. But I can see the benefit for more specialized items like miniatures that would be a great source to purchase from. Thanks for sharing. I hope you film the kits!
That stinks! I bought items that weren't miniatures or related to my miniature hobby and they were all great aside from one item. I got a USB c cable that was slow charging. It cost $2, but it was useless to me. I got a refund without having to return it. You should request a return for the items you're not happy with. It seems like a straightforward process.
I got this thingie on Temu which is a little blade sharpener/whetstone thing your mitre shears reminded me, I think they have a variety of sharpeners, I will give them a try on my old mitre shears and if they work I'll let you know. They only cost a couple of quid but I think you would know by looking at them. I will leave what theyre called in the listing after I look it up, you never know they might make the shears work again.
I didn't see it until I was shopping on there today. I almost ordered it, but I wanna make one from scratch so my viewers can replicate it. I need to come up with an easy, cheap method.
That TV looks exactly like the one my dad got me for Christmas in 1976, a Panasonic and I used it until 1997!! Oh, and your LED lights probably blew because they need a resistor if the power source is too powerful.
I'm 35 and I grew up with a TV just like it. I had to have it. I think that's definitely what happened. I'm not well-versed on dollhouse lighting, but I have seen resistors. I plan to put the lights on a shelf in my basement diorama. Nothing will go to waste bc of that basement.
I got a kit similar to this, it’s a little hotel I think, it sits on a “bunny” shelf. The best part about it- I got it at a thrift store for $1.99 and everything was inside, untouched except for the little bottle of glue, which I didn’t need. I’m almost finished putting it together.
I was skeptical about the quality too, but I wanted to give them a shot. Temu is supposedly against fast fashion, forced labor, child labor, indentured servants, penal labor. They supposedly produce their items ethically. I'm impressed all around. I was also able to immediately get a refund without returning the items for the plastic lights that broke and a USB-c cable I bought that was slow charging.
@@queencityminis Oh wow! I did not know all of that. That is impressive! I just placed an order, so hopefully, everything will arrive in great condition!😊
Great haul, Shyra! I guess I’ll be making a washing machine, though😩I don’t like making appliances but yeah the washing machine looked tiny. My favorites are the coffee maker, blender, the modern kit and the bottles. I’m heading to Temu!
Someone in the reviews said they stacked two on top of one another to make them look better for 1:12. If you make just a base for each that's 1" tall or so, then stack them, they'd work for 1:12. The door and drum are such good details.
That was so good to watch, Thank you for sharing that great haul. "What is the leather thinner called ?" please. Wondering if you could press the felt cutting board with the iron (not miniature iron 😂) to thin it out, so adorable. Love love love minis.
What an amazing haul! I love miniatures! I got the little cast iron pot and lid from them and absolutely adore it. It's made of metal too, and quite heavy for its size. I love real life size cookware, of any kind, so the miniatures of it I can't resist! I have never built a doll house before, but I really like collecting miniatures of just about anything! Thanks for sharing your haul! I have an order coming in in a few days. I'm on a fixed income and have to be really careful sometimes, but Temu makes it so hard to resist, doesn't it?!? And I get caught every time with that 'add to your order' business...LOL! "I'm only going to spend $20. oh but look at that, I need that too!" Add to your order...click! Sigh... :)
I could've written this myself! I completely agree. I just got more stuff from Temu in the mail. I haven't opened it yet. I like to look at the items as I'm showing them on video.
I commented on your most recent video about this. I'm waiting for you to build one of the kits!! I can't wait, lol I tell you all about why. I can't find anyone who builds them and speaks they all play goofy music and speed up the work. Really not helpful. Can't wait!! You're the best at this stuff anyway. 😊
The title says beer bottles. I could make them into wine bottles instead by painting the lids and adding a label. The necks are a bit thick but it would work.
I need to use those little "cast iron" pans to cook on lol! Help me lose more weight😉 Idk what is up with some vids on youtube complaining about Temu. I know, well I think it's Chinese but we have had no issues. I got everyone sweatshirts for Christmas last year. Best ones I've ever purchased. The price was great and the fit was great, they wash up good with hundreds of choices. But most of all they are SO SOFT. We ALL freaked out when we felt how much. You just want to put it on your face and go take a nap lol. Very very cold here. Thank you for this vid! I LOVE miniature EVERYTHING. So does most of my fam. Even my grandson in his 20s. He is on the spectrum and ADD. He used to just sit and line up his tinies wherever he was. He still loes Deadpool lol. Have a great day🙏🏼🥰
I had my first Temu delivered today, although |I only spent £30.I too should've read the size description as I have the same large wine bottles😁 . Maybe you could put them in a rack in your pub so you only see the ends? Thank you for sharing, it was good to hear you laugh when the items flew off😄
That's a really good idea! I could chop the ends off so they're shorter inside the rack. I am a pretty clumsy person 😆 I spend a lot of time looking for tiny items I dropped. One time I found a miniature stuck to the cat's tail. It had tacky paint on it. She must have sat on it. I looked everywhere for the damn thing.
In ancient times that fancy black iron should have pieces of sizzling coal inside 😅 I' ve got two of them just for decoration. That burning stove killed me 😩 Love from Spain 💃
You give great pointers for navigating Temu. Great deals but yeah you have you study things closely I fell for the same single fruit can thinking it was 5! But on the next order I found 5 beer cans for like $1 something and they used the exact same blanks so if you’re making your own labels anyway, it works out well.
Oh wow! That's interesting to know about buying the cans as blanks. I still don't know what I'd do with cans with a removable lid, but that's a great deal. I'll have to get creative to find a use for it. Thank you!
Oh yeah! It is a rice maker. I never would've guessed. That huge scoop had me puzzled.
Hahaha, that is definitely a drinking problem!
Came here to say this. I have a one person rice cooker.
Those are the right size for Magnum Bottles. Or warehouse store bottles. It's easy to forget that so many things are available in a variety of sizes in our world.
I don't know about the soy sauce but you do use Worcestershire sauce in a Bloody Mary. Well I looked it up soy sauce is used in some cocktails.
The iron should open. They work by putting hot coals in it

Oh I love that Shyra did the video with the items unwrapped as well. Her explanation of items is perfect as well whereas she's right to the point ❤
The irons at that time used coals to heat the metal plate. One opened the hinge, slid little coals in and tried not to burn your fingers as you flattened your sheets.
Brilliant! Thank you for the explanation. That sounds really risky, but it makes sense.
My grandmother used the coal iron. We have easy today.
Hi Shyra. Great video. You have such a natural sense of humor. It makes me laugh. Thank you for sharing this haul. You found some fun things.
Thank you! I'm glad you had fun 😊
I have the Roaming In Paris miniture set and I absolutely love how it turned out. It wasn't too hard to put together, but time consuming to say the least. Nice mini haul, great ideas, tyfs.
It was time consuming, but easy to assemble. The instructions are great. I think it took me 7 hours?
So funny how everyone has their particular preferences. I hate aging things (which you're so good at!), but I don't mind cutting things out. ❤ I have to go look for that quill pen! 😍
I got 4 curly feathers at Earth & Tree Miniature Shop and stuck one into the earring back to make the quill. That was for my Steampunk Diorama. I probably should've mentioned that in the video 😆
That's so funny!
I'm glad you double checked all the items in your cart!
Enjoy your kit! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. I can't wait to start my tin kit.
i've purchased a lot of mini's from temu, and while a lot of the cheapest items badly needed a paint job [which i enjoy] there wasn't anything i found beyond help. i did pull a few plants out of the pots, but look closely at everything and you can see they weren't very good, so they can get pushed to the back of a scene. good luck and happy hunting! definitely check measurements, in cm, i found the inches to be not accurate, don't believe a 1/12 label
I really enjoyed your horde haul, the details, humor and tips. So much cute stuff. Loved the firebox, decanters and all the cool findings.
I know nothing about miniature, just stumbled on your channel and got intrigued. Truly amazing
Welcome aboard! Thank you 😊
I appreciate seeing this haul!
Nail art for miniatures! What a clever idea. Never thought of that!💜💜💜
Little Gretchen's Workshop is the queen of using nail art. I bought some little metal studs like she uses and have been buying nail art since.
Nice to actually SEE the size. I learned the hard way to check sizes. Luckily I’m buying for my 4 year old granddaughters and they honestly don’t care about sizes yet!
Imagine if your 4 year old granddaughter said something wasn't the correct scale? Adorable 😆
Great haul!! I love seeing what you find. Especially the tools and what they’re called
Thanks for watching!
Icecream shop kit is so cute! You got some great pieces
Thank you! 🤗
She has such a nice relaxing voice
Agreed!
really? I find her voice absolutely horrible!
Did I hear “Griffindor Common Room 🦁 this summer”!!! I can’t wait to see it!! 👀😊
Yes!
I didn’t know Temu had these items! Great haul ‼️
Thank you! Opening all this stuff was fun.
I think I know the dress form you're talking about. I was eyeing a dress form but it was 6" tall. That's the equivalent of 6 feet tall in 1:12.
That nail art for tile is brilliant.
I can't wait to use it! Still thinking on a project for it...
This was so awesome. Thank you! I always look at measurements over scale. If the measurements are right then it doesn't matter what they SAY the scale is.
For sure! Thank you
Haha I am with you on cutting things out...
Maybe I'll hire a few children to cut the items out for me 😆
I am really excited to customize the minis! Most mass produced minis are 1 or 2 simple details away from being really special.
LOVE the Amazon and Fed Ex boxes. I can make a miniature store room of my house. LOL
Wow! Did not know they Sold Mini's that Would make a Set Complete. I Want to Now Play with All those.😂 I've Always wanted a Miniature Troll House in my Small yard.
So cool! That sounds adorable
You got some great stuff! I found some thin strips of wood that are sold as candle wicks but make great wood flooring when stained and cut to size.
Also some great tiny scale picture frames sold as nail decorations.
Wow! I just searched for the candle wicks. They're beautiful cherry wood. What a great find!
If it's cold it's glass. Hold a glass bead and a plastic bead in your hand or touch it to your face to compare. The coldest one is glass.
Good tip! Thank you
@@queencityminis ur welcome
Love your informative content - your voice soothes my anxiety. Thank you from Auckland, New Zealand xx
Just had to say that so I wouldn't forget hahaha
Cute stuff. Yeah, I'd make molds of everything possible haha I think your crock pot is actually a rice cooker😊
Very true. I do need to get some more use out of the tile stickers. I really love the raised pattern of them.
I love the idea of making a mold of the planters. I have a really thin concrete product called Feather Finish I could put in the mold.
Great idea!! I love that. Thank you
For the tv….no tv from back in the day just used the telescoping antenna. It always had coat hangers or tin foil to boost the signals! Lol
Mine had both 😆 I remember standing and adjusting the hangers and re-crimping the foil to try to get a clearer picture
Welcome aboard! A few people have told me they listen to my videos to fall asleep. No offense taken 😆 💤
I need to start using my Dremel. I actually own a real drama and a knockoff Dremel and I don't use either of them.
Using the dremel will allow you to draw on wood slats and then carve out design you just did. Also using that flower mold will give the old Victorian look to furniture, window and door casements, Plus those big roses can be used on the ceiling where the lights are hanging. Just more opportunities Have fun@@queencityminis
Better than Christmas morning. Some of the pieces are amazing.
I totally agree! You can get pretty much all of this on Amazon as well, but for more money. The quality is the same.
Thank you for doing this video. I hadn't thought about miniature from Temu. I love shopping on their app
No problem 😊
(Yes, NEED)
I'm psyched about the toothpicks!
You’ve got a real treasure chest…I’m impressed of all the little tiny things you get. Must try it also….thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
I really love the old-fashioned fireplace that lights up!! It looks great!! I just started ordering from Temu again recently! They have such cool things! The cute little UPS boxes are awesome TFS!
I think I'll make a video soon adding details to some of the items I bought. I had a lot of fun shopping on Temu.
Wow you got cool bunch of goodies.👍🏼💐
I have a whole bunch of stuff sitting in my cart in the Temu app. I must stop lol
Never heard of Temu, that was a rabbit hole dive I was not expecting 😂 thanks!?!
😆 I apologize
Omg yeah, I can't wait to see what you do with the gryffindor common room 😍.
Me too! I'm excited. I have a busy couple months ahead of me, so I need to let things calm down before I jump in. But very soon.
I bet there's an artisan made miniature iron that opens. There must be.
Thanks for the tip!
That is awesome! Have fun with those
WOW! What a haul! I might try going and at least looking!!!
If you look, you'll want stuff. You've been warned lol

I had SO much fun customizing the tin kit
I absolutely enjoy your temu haul. It's the best place to buy various kinds of miniatures ❤😊❤😊
Thank you so much 🤗
I Love miniatures wonderful Temu Haul TFS..
Thank you 🤗
It adds up quickly! I purchased a bunch of miniature things this morning and hit $89!
Good luck! I hope you enjoy the items you got.
I am glad you did a Temu haul video. I have had mixed feelings about buying from them. But now that I have seen this, I might give them a try 😊
I cannot wait to see the Gryffindor common room!
I am loving Temu, and I especially love their ethical practices of not producing fast fashion, child labor, indentured servants etc. That's more important than price.
Finally! The Gryffindor Common Room. It'll be my biggest project yet.
@@queencityminis ethics are important, thanks for sharing that bit about temu!😊
@@queencityminiswhat are you talking about?? Temu has been revealed to be totally UNethical.
The violin bow is so bulky 😆
Nothing will go to waste for sure. I know I can use every item I bought in the basement diorama (although now I'm thinking it should be a garage diorama...)
I love when things light up.
I love Chrysnbon kits because everything is perfectly to scale, so it looks realistic.
the little tin kits are fun to do. i have made 2 of them so far and one is the paris one you showed. :)
Excellent! I opened it and took a look through the instructions. They seem pretty clear, but I'm easily distracted. We'll see how it goes.
Oh my goodness, what a wonderuf collection of goodies!
I'm getting that itch to do another Temu shopping trip
You’re commentary just cracks me up. I giggle the entire way through. Add a glass of wine and call it a party.
Yay! Thanks for hanging out 😀
Great miniatures haul. I love the Temu sight and their miniatures but you have to watch about sizes. Thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching
Excellent purchases.
Thank you!
FYI the cassette tape actually completely comes out, it only goes back in a certain vesy (can't remember which way 😊)
I got the same one, I didn't realize the battery compartment opens though.
I love mine so much. Temu is awesome for most things. Overall a high percentage of great items.❤
I've heard! I can't believe the cassette tape comes out.
Hi there!
Mini Station is one of my faves:
ruclips.net/video/H4p4C6OVDBw/видео.html&feature=share8
I think I'll start out with the tin kit first, to dip my toes in the water.
I bought coffee maker too and you’re right it’s too large. I should have checked measurements! But I love the little coffee cups and saucers. Your haul is full of greats things💜💜💜
Thank you :) The cup, saucer and spoon set are so nicely made and well proportioned.
So after I saw your Paris kit, I immediately went on line & bought one...😮💨 I'll probably go crazy putting it together but I felt like I should at least try since I am a French teacher 😆
That's a very legitimate reason! Items do get sold out on Temu, so it's best to buy something before it's gone.
@@queencityminis I wonder if it’s too late. It’s been a couple months now.
1/24 is more my jam so I love those kits but everything is cute!
I haven't worked in 1:24 scale yet! That's wild, since I've made 1:12, 1:48 and 1:144 on my channel and 1:6 as a child.
@@queencityminis I loved your 1:144 video, got me tempted to try going even smaller!!!
I have one too!
Oh my, did you happen to see the miniature wine barrel? It would be perfect for your pub! This will be my third order. UGH 😩 😂

Those big beer bottles might be a bomber in 1:12 scale, they are like a king size bottle and I guess you indeed get pretty trashed drinking one 😅
I bought the same paper and it's great for lining suitcases and trunks, and i made some gift bags and hatboxes too
That's so sweet! I love that idea.
After watching this I’ve now added more items to my Temu order
I need some more minis, I think 😉
I got a kit similar to this, it’s a little hotel I think, it sits on a “bunny” shelf. The best part about it- I got it at a thrift store for $1.99 and everything was inside, untouched except for the little bottle of glue, which I didn’t need. I’m almost finished putting it together.
That's great! I love finding little treasures like that.
Great haul thank you for sharing I've been thinking of buying from them 👌
My pleasure! It was fun
I'm glad you did a haul with them...I have been skeptical about the quality. I'm happy that you got some great items!😊
@@queencityminisSorry, but you need to do some more research. Temu is totally shady.

You did the work!!! Thanks. ❤
It was hard work, but this situation needed a hero 😆
lol i have an entire closet full of the 1:24 kits... I made a few so far. they are fun! tfs
Wow! You must be a pro by now. Wish me luck
Really nice haul!
Thank you! 😊
@@queencityminis I agree.
Since you said you're probably not going to use that guitar box as a guitar box it would be cute decorated up as a travel trunk or such 😍
That's a great idea 💡! Thanks
I've just ordered 3 big hauls can't wait to get it all 😊
Have fun!
That was so good to watch, Thank you for sharing that great haul. "What is the leather thinner called ?" please. Wondering if you could press the felt cutting board with the iron (not miniature iron 😂) to thin it out, so adorable. Love love love minis.
The leather cutter is called a skiver. It shaves the leather down. I wonder if I could use it on the thick felt mat!
@@queencityminisGood idea and Thank you for reply 🌸
Nice haul. I feel better about purcharsing $200.00 + on Barbie's and on Temu. LOL. It's so much fun
It really is! I had a lot of fun
Thank you! I'll be doing the tin kit first.
The green and burgundy bottles you got are wine bottles. They are the right scale for 1:12
The title says beer bottles. I could make them into wine bottles instead by painting the lids and adding a label. The necks are a bit thick but it would work.
I hope someone already told you the cassette tape comes out of your little boom box... Love watching your videos... Take care ...
Yes, my viewers told me! I was so excited. What incredible detail
Have a great day🙏🏼🥰
I've had good experiences with Temu as well. I'm sure there are legitimate issues with their business practices, but that's true of most companies.
Your voice is so relaxing I wish I can buy alot of miniature products
Thank you so much! I'm tempted to keep buying and buying, but I'm restraining myself.
Tbf, you are so clever, I bet you could figure out a way to make an entire project just out of that guitar case.
I bet you're right 🎸
In ancient times that fancy black iron should have pieces of sizzling coal inside 😅 I' ve got two of them just for decoration.
That burning stove killed me 😩
Love from Spain 💃
I have one for decoration too. It's so heavy!
You give great pointers for navigating Temu. Great deals but yeah you have you study things closely
I fell for the same single fruit can thinking it was 5!
Thank you!
@@queencityminis I’m sorry I don’t think the lids are removable? I honestly forgot that the 1st one was but they look identical otherwise
