    When adjusting the rear hardware (@ 5:55) ... Use a q-tip and anti-seize on the rubber gromet inside. This will prevent an annoying squeak I had on my bike when I re-installed my SVT Jackhammers.

    Changing slip-ons and air filter didn't change anything other then looks
    Your stock tune was already set up for the adjustment for the swaps
    Stage 1 tune on these M-8's will adjust if it came with a ventilator set up already

    Did you flash the ECU with the Harley provided stage 1 map prior to applying the data from your record mode?

    • @ChewyVlogs12
      @ChewyVlogs12  Год назад +1

      The pro street tuner flashes the ECU before programming your new smart tune automatically.

      Thank you! I'd plan to spend around $1500 for the stage 1. It all depends on what you go with for exhaust and breather set up! I hope the video helped!

    How much did it cost you vs what we pay at the dealership? Good idea for how to videos that I rarely see being done

    • @ChewyVlogs12
      @ChewyVlogs12  Год назад +1

      You're looking at around $1500 for the entire set up, depending on what you go with for aftermarket parts. I think the two main differences are building it into your financing and paying the dealership labor cost for installation.

    What exactly was the difference between the stock air filter and the K & N ? Stock was already hi flo.. right?

    • @ChewyVlogs12
      @ChewyVlogs12  Год назад

      HD markets their elements as high flow, but the k&n is still going to give you less restriction. I've seen hp and tq increase as much as 9% on paper with a k&n element and aftermarket breather. Which is another factor to consider. Depending on what year and model bike you have, you'll want to consider changing the breather. Not a huge increase, but I think it's a fairly inexpensive way to get a little more out of your motorcycle.

    Can that Tuner be used on more than just one bike? I have a couple of bikes I want to upgrade and tune

    • @ChewyVlogs12
      @ChewyVlogs12  Год назад

      No, once a tuner is used on one bike, it marries to that ECM and that's it, it's useless for any other purpose.

    • @ihatesjws669
      @ihatesjws669 Год назад +1

      Powervision give an option to buy multiple licenses to tune multiple bikes. Far superior system then the screaming chicken system

  • @DJAC17
    @DJAC17 Год назад

    Do you only need slip ons and new air filter for stage 1 and not the headers or do I need the headers still.

    • @ChewyVlogs12
      @ChewyVlogs12  Год назад +1

      Good question! Slip ons, high flow air filter, and a tune are all you need for a stage 1. Headers will definitely help the bike breathe better, but are not essential to a stage 1. Just be careful, if you want to keep the warranty, putting aftermarket headers on will flag your bike and your warranty will be void. Same thing with tuning, anything other than screaming eagle will void your warranty.

    • @ihatesjws669
      @ihatesjws669 Год назад

      @Harley Culture like this answer here. Most aftermarket headers are same size as the original harley headers. The man difference is the catalytic converter and it's location. Some harleys have the cat in the muffler some in the headers. So some would benefit a header change significantly more then other models and depending on years as well. But your engine is still eating it's own poop by not rerouting those stock rubber breather hoses!!!

  • @ihatesjws669
    @ihatesjws669 Год назад

    Should change title to "how to install the wrong tuner". The screaming eagle tuner is the worst in terms of performance. It is capped by EPA. Will not make the proper changes need compared to other tuners on the market.

    You really have to keep from all out, rolling on the floor laughing your ass off, guys like you, with more money than sense. Absolutely (No clue) how a Harley, oh hell any combustible engine fuel and exhaust systems works, at all. Harley's dealerships laugh all the way to the bank, they see you guys from a mile off.

      @Harley Culture no what he is trying to tell you, and most non harley engine guys won't know is the pro tuner from harley is the worst choice in terms of performance. That's his point, most youtubers dive that deep into the harley engine and in turn give out bad statements about how it all works.
