    I just put the kit on my bike this weekend and my shift lever is tight like that. Glad this info was out there cause I couldn’t find anything else. Going to take the primary cover off and hopefully that’s the case as well for an easy fix

    Changing slip-ons and air filter didn't change anything other then looks Your stock tune was already set up for the adjustment for the swaps Stage 1 tune on these M-8's will adjust if it came with a ventilator set up already

    Hi everyone. Great video! I was able to adjust mine (just now) without loosening the bottom bolts. I loosened just the top two and the bars rotated up nicely. I didn't have to remove the lock cylinder or even unplug the instruments. Was remarkably easy.

    I wrap the handlebars with electrical tape, right where they sit, before I loosen the screws. Thick and against the clamps they sit in. It keeps the handlebars from moving side to side.

    Dude Thank you!!!! Purchased my 2022 HD RG yesterday. Rode it home and was bummed about the bars and how uncomfortable they were (I’m 6’1 and felt cramped). Didn’t want to go through all new bars due to cost and time. This was exactly what I needed to see! Simple mod with huge upside. Bars are perfect! Feels great and looks great! Thanks again.

    Great video. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, address the Wide Glide in particular in a front to mids controls swap. There's a whole inner primary housing change that has to be done, nobody discusses, and parts lists are incomplete leaving a bike opened up and disassembled while trying to figure out what parts were not discussed. And Clymer also doesn't address the wide glide specifically in spite of my 2003 Anniversary edition Wide Glide actually being on the front cover!!!

      Hey I’m looking to get a 96 wide glide dyna the bike currently has forward controls but I’d want Mids, what parts would I need to get to make that a possibility?

      I own an '05 W.G., and I installed a TC Bros. Dyna Mids Kit. I didn't want to get the extra primary covers, with the shifter stub-out poking through the side. I improvised, and used the OEM forward shifter mount. I custom bent the shift lever that came in the kit, and shortened it. I attached it to the stock forward mounting control arm, but with the new shift lever facing rearward. This works fine for me. I kept the stock forward mounts, for use as highway pegs. The pegs still fold out of the way if desired. The only difference, is the shift pattern. It is now, 1 down, 4 up.

    Do a video on brakes, just did front brakes, put wrong, 5.1 fluid in front master, mixed it alll up, drained it, fkushed it with de natured alcohol, filled the master with Dot5, but now have no brake pressure. Its air in the lines. Do a brake bleed video please

    FYI it's a dowl pin under the bar that locates it from the factory . You can use a punch to punch it down out of the way . Then locate your bar where you want it . Also adjust your controls so they are level . ( clutch and throttle) They have locational dowels as well Trim them if needed but most of the time you have plenty of adjustment there to get them level. Just trying to help 👊

      Big time. The metal boot covers definitely helped out A LOT but it was still an insane workout. Especially since it's muscles you don't really use on a daily basis. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I had a blast making it! More fun to come!

    Great video!. I took my time and it went just as described, other than I didn’t have to pull my lock out to take off that U-shaped cover. Well, this gave me extra height I wanted. At 6’4”, this made a big improvement in comfort. Thanks so much for sharing.

    Brother, your video was money!!!!! Took me a few minutes longer than 30 minutes, but I was able to make the adjustment on my 2023 RG Anniversary Special and man oh man what difference that made. I'm way more comfortable and I have so much more control of her when riding. You saved me a cool grand not buying a new set of bars. Great video. Thank you

    I installed a TC Bros. Dyna Mids Kit on my '05 Wide Glide. Regarding the new mid brake lever, wasn't thrilled about the location of footpeg toepiece. Felt kind of low, so I did like you, and custom made a new brake toepiece, with a piece of wide L bracket. Brought the footpeg height up, and more comfortable for me. Regarding the shift lever, I custom bent the shift lever that came with the kit, and installed it on the stock forward mount location, with the new lever facing backwards. Only change qas the reversed shift pattern to 1 up 4 down. This way, kept the stock primary inner/outers.

      If I was a welder,I would just make a shift lever that attached to all the original hardware on he wide glide for mid controls. Nobody address's the problem with Wide Glides in particular,having factory front controls. All these videos bikes are half way set up already for mid controls, Unlike Wide Glides, where apparently you have to change the entire inner primary housing because it doesn't even have a hole for the mids shift lever, And the Clymer book doesn't address this either. All these videos exclude the Wide Glides individual problems. I like what you did, but I would fuk up the gears changing by forgetting the sequence is backwards. I just ordered the limited reach conversion kit instead to see if that makes a difference. I don't like forward controls to begin with,and the wide Glides feel even more forward than typical forward controls. Anyways,have a good day, stay safe.

      @@Christofuzz-hc9xl BTW, regarding the reduced reach kit, I DO actually have one installed. I installed it prior to adding the TC Bros Dyna Mids Kit. It is an OEM kit, paid $230 for it! I kept all the forward mount parts that I removed, just in case I want to return it to stock. One of the best things about having mid mounted footpegs, is it allows you to stand up off the seat if needed. Almost impossible to do with forward mounted footpegs.

      @xlrider1565 I've been scowering ebay for a solution, aside from opening up the primary and switching the inner housing, I have a nice used one with the mids hole sitting on ice. I tried the reduced reach kit, but it looks like it's gonna interfere with my higher gears , shiftlinkage is hitting the engine. Seems like nothing works. I'll keep looking. Stay safe man.

      @Christofuzz-hc9xl I have the Reduced Reach blocks mounted behind the factory forward mounts. They brought the pegs rearward about 1" closer. Really, I just heated up the shift lever supplied with the T C Bros Dyna Mids Kit, with a propane torch, then carefully bent it to clear the front part of the primary cover. Also, cut off about half an inch from the shifter, then drilled a hole to fit the bolt that comes with the kit. I'd have rather cut off the threaded hole of the shifter, then remove a bit more from the shifter, and re-weld the threaded hole back onto the shortened shifter. But, don't have an arc welder. But, my new shifter feels solid, not flexy. Whatever you look decide, good luck with! Another concern of mine, didn't want the optional inner/outer primary covers, with the hole poking through. Just two more spots for primary oil to leak from.

      @@Christofuzz-hc9xl Regarding your comment about the reduced reach kit allowing your shift linkage to hit the motor; I made my own, longer length shift rod to replace the stock length one. The OEM shift rod is about 13" long. I made my custom shift rod 15"long. This way, you can adjust the shift lever that goes thru the forward mount assembly, by removing the shift lever, and rotating it forward, or back, one spline at a time, until it has clearance. Make sure the angle of the shift arm that connects to the shift lever, is angled similar to the shift arm, located on the transmission. That way, when you shift up or down, both shift arms move evenly, and don't create a bind situation. Good luck bro!
