You mentioned it in the intro, but The Wicked Avatar could be a good jank replacement for Obelisk given the anti-synergies. TWA cannot be overrun by battle so it's pretty good with the destruction protection, and since you also play a lot of other high-level monsters, it's atk should be reliably decent. I see a distinct lack of the card 'fiend comedian' here. Being able to end phase pitch a level eater AND some dandy lions sounds like a pretty crazy play to me to get your tribute chains going

I have some suggestions for some cursed cards that you might be able to build around in Edison. The first two are Desert Twister and Frost Flame Dragon. Crappy Chaos Sorcs they might be but there might be something fun you could make out of them. My personal idea was some sort of Flamvel Frog deck to enable Frost Flame Dragon. And maybe some mix between Psychics and Harpies for Desert Twister. And the last card I am suggesting is the ultimate impossible to bring out card for Edison. Neos Wiseman. Really hard to summon but his effect is actually good protection. Honestly I just want to see how a deck built around Neos would look like.
At first thought the deck was "Unplayable Trash" because there were no cringe cards. The only reason it was moved to "Small possibility of doing anything at all" was because Obelisk is a cringe card in your own deck. Approved!
Exodius could be a decent option here for setting up level eater or dandy access more easily, with more dandy access debris is definitely worth considering, AFD can wall for a turn or 2 and summon hardened armed from hand for tribute summons. With reasonable AFD access I could see running a field spell package with mausoleum and geartown with gadjiltron replacing some of the jankier tributes like Hino, lowers the ceiling a bit but gives you more of a ground game Giant rat could also be worth considering, gives some resilient board presence that can float into dandy, hardened arm or grand mole
Simply add malicious plague and grephers for both "good" discards for quick-draw (insta 2 tributes) and Because drawing grepher + any dark gets you a way to sunmon 2 from grave.
Might I suggest: Ritual Djinn's (e.g. Releaser, Disserere) + Divine Grace - Northwemko /w Magical Citadel. Have fun trying to remove that. (I do have a deck list just currently untested)
Consider Battle fader, plague spreader zombie and other tribute engines such as light, earth and dark The Light tribute engine consists of 3x light angles 1x marshmellon Optionally 3x nova summoner The dark consist 3x mystic tomato 3x giant germ 1x sangan 1x plaguespreader zombie The earth consists of 3x giant rat 3x nimble momonga 1x rescue cat Any number of earth beasts of your choosing
with the faders, plague, and sangan, you also have plenty of targets for allure. maybe a small psychic engine with some krebons, e-tele, tomato, and maybe the quick play reborn for them,
I think you can shift to have a bigger focus on the plant part with the quickdraw dandy drill warrior as a nice core you've done before. Then you can add in Evil Thorn as a 1 that also gets even more easy plant access so you can max out Mark of the Rose, too. Maybe even Soul Exchange since the spell trap lock from Wicked Avatar does linger for 2 turns. (At that point maybe consider Plasma?). This might sound kind of dumb, but if you did that you could also play Inferno Reckless Summon. It would let you summon 3 Hardened Armed Dragon, 3 Quickdraw, or 3 Level Eater pretty easily. Then they can all be used either for tribute fodder, or in the case of Quickdraw synchro plays too.
What this deck needs is: -a way to get a 2 tribute monster in hand -deck thinning to find the combo and make sure you draw into more 2 tribute monsters when you have it -ways to survive and control the board state while you wait for the combo -ways to make Ultimate Offering good without the combo To that end you can't go wrong with recruiters and +1 normal summons. Some number of Mystic Tomatoes and Giant Rats to fetch Sangan and Gadgets respectively and Sauropod Brachion to search off the Sangan for your level 7.
