I showed this to my dad (former army) and he was in afjrotc & afrotc and he said this looks like a bunch of soup sandwiches playing with rifles... When he was in if you dropped your rifle or fucked up you'd get your ass smoked right after the show. He also said that that one idiot who dropped his rifle should of picked it up and should of played along like nothing happened, because if I'm not mistaken there's supposed to be somebody who squares you away during the show. But there not marines yet, there playing marine.
+Smartasses -- mother of one of the cadets in this exhibition, not the rifle dropper. This is one of my kiddos first public performance. It was his freshman year. He went on to complete all four years of Jrotc and is now in boot camp. He will be a PFC upon graduation. He looked up military all throughout high school. All his mentors are Marines. I posted this video as a proud momma. I had no idea it would get so many view and open his team up for such ridicule. This team went one to win the state championship the following 3 years. My son was the CO his senior year and commanded the NM state champion drill team.
+Smartasses I'm in JROTC as well and even I hate us. WE as a whole are fake and don't respect what we supposedly represent. kissing in uniform. BOOK BAGS while wearing ACU. I came from a naval one where the OIC was a Marine Captain. none of that shit flew with him. If my waiver clears I'll be good for Parris Island by August.
+Jaeden Velez Absolutely. But again, their routine as a whole was alright was alright. There were definitely some guys there who knew what they were doing. It was just a few who really stuck out and that is the last thing you want during a routine. When I was in JROTC and ROTC we were just fortunate to have enough bodies that we could bench people who couldn't execute a clean routine.
Im in MCJROTC and this is common due to pressure or being nervous i could think they can do it ok in practice but an actual audience they'd be not calm or shake to much
I hadn't felt it necessary to comment but thought I would clear up any questions. My son (who is now at boot camp) was in this performance. It was his first year on the MCJROTC. I posted it because I am proud! This very team has won the NM STATE DRILL AWARD 3 years in a row! Practice makes perfect! Those of you that are bashing please fill free to link videos of your awesome performances. #proudmomma #hatersgonnahate #putuporshutup
+Andrea Orona I would but when I was in HS doing this in NJROTC Iphones weren't everywhere. I will say the overall snap of the platoon was amazing. I feel like on any other day that one cadet wouldn't have lost his grip in the beginning. I also think he was rattled by it for the rest of the routine. That being said I would have liked to have seen a little more gravitas from a MJROTC unit. No statues of liberties, no long tosses, no solo or duo? Overall great routine, if that guy hadn't slipped at the start it would have been perfect execution wise.
I respect that your son was in this, but I am in MCJROTC in NM as well, some of those cadets where not shearing there covers properly, obviously one messed up, and there where other small mess ups as well. I am glad your son has enlisted and I hope for the best of him. I also plan on enlisting. I attend Eldorado high in ABQ
I am a cadet at an army jrotc school and I too plan on enlisting and tbh this was an overall great proformance and I do understand that people do tend to bash the defect but it's part of what cadets do so nobody really is meaning it to be rude or disrespectful in any way but I do understand where you are coming from
The Nostalgia of Grants HS MCJROTC I was part of the Winning 2016 Grand Nationals Armed Drill Team I miss the heck out of it. Sad to See Gunny and SgtMaj. Retired ❤️
1:20 when the lil kid starts talking away haha I think I would've been distracted too if that happened to me too :D guys are pretty good, glad I had the opportunity to go against you guys ...but only got to see your performance like at least 3 times my whole high school life haha
They were rushed, and as they went, they got more and more out of sync. I'm in color guard at NOMMA and if you drop the rifle, you have to do 25 push ups with the rifle in your hands
@william hagen.. I took exebition in my high school untill they stopped the program and i must agree that yes the cadet who dropped his riffle did mess it up. Wont say ruin it but it did get my attention. However i do ask that you show the least bit of understanding that exebition is fucking difficult. Apparently you are in it so you should understand what they have to go through..anyway i just wanted to say that this program is difficult and not all cAdets will be flawles.
If that's the case, then your team needs to get their priorities in check. Such a policy is detrimental to team building and morale. He didn't drop the rifle on purpose, so he shouldn't be punished for it. Instead, he should be properly encouraged to improve. You don't kick members of a team out for honest mistakes.
See the thing is this was posted for viewing purposes, not a competition. In other words, no one really care if your battalion is better, your lack of being able to spell the word battalion is just icing on the cake.
Slow it down count count count great skills. Rehearse it just a tad slow on all movements we all know when it comes to game time we all naturally speed up a bit Im a old MCJROTC driller myself but other than that good stuff devil pups
+JustSome762 they're in an organization funded by the Navy. If you didn't know, the Corps is under the Department of the Navy. Anyways, you are being trained to enter the Armed Forces. They aren't "playing Marines", they are in a school organization funded by the Navy.
CranesV2 When talking about Jrotc, people make it clear that joining Jrotc does not come with an obligation to serve, so no, they are not being trained to enter the armed forces
+JustSome762 that was the main goal when ROTC was formed under the National Defence Act in 1916. Under the ROTC Vitalization Act of 1964, the main goal (of some branches) was to form future leaders. Nowadays, people join the organization because they were forced by their parents. All of the people I know in JROTC and ROTC that weren't forced to join are going in the military. In my school's program, Northside High School GA 0-62, people also take the class so they don't have to take Health and PE because if you complete 6 semesters of JROTC, you get your Health and PE credits.
This very team is the current NATIONAL CHAMPION!!! This is a video taken by a proud mother and all you jealous fools should get over yourself. It wasn't a video posted to brag or get attention. It was posted for them!
Andrea Orona there a good team but they can be better it almost looks rushed as if the routine were to be put together in a day and props to them for being nats. champions
This routine has difficulty factors but is executed poorly wish some cadets being variated in parts obviously not meant to be variated. Over all it was alright
That cadet who dropped the rifle, should be Forgived...He didn't loose any bearings but kept going like A U.S. Marine....OoraH!
I showed this to my dad (former army) and he was in afjrotc & afrotc and he said this looks like a bunch of soup sandwiches playing with rifles... +Jonathan Clemente wait to sell yourself out so quickly
+Quentin Harvey The part where he dropped the rifle, look at the cadet to the right of him, he almost dropped it
I swear I would FAINT if I dropped a rifle
Storm Blaze Same though
Its disciple dude
that kid did a good job getting back in place
good display. But, I wouldn't want them as my neighbours upstairs.
The routine is alright but there are like 3 guys who have absolutely no idea what they are doing at all.
i mean can you do it? no? ohh then stfu.
+Jaeden Velez Absolutely. But again, their routine as a whole was alright was alright. There were definitely some guys there who knew what they were doing. Jaeden Velez I can do so much more so I agree with her there where cadets who had know idea what they were doing
@@jaedenvelez6422 you'd think they would slow down the routine. Half of them can't catch up on time
Im in MCJROTC and this is common due to pressure or being nervous i could think they can do it ok in practice but an actual audience they'd be not calm or shake to much

MTGgeeks what team u in raider drill unarmed or marksmanship
Humberto Gonzalez I was in raiders and unarmed drill bit unfortunately I've had to stop for the year due to transportation issues
The Nostalgia of Grants HS MCJROTC I was part of the Winning 2016 Grand Nationals Armed Drill Team I miss the heck out of it. Sad to See Gunny and SgtMaj. Retired ❤️
I'm an Army cadet and those uniforms look awesome. Here where I live they don't have any Marine JROTC programs.
1:20 when the lil kid starts talking away haha I think I would've been distracted too if that happened to me too :D guys are pretty good, glad I had the opportunity to go against you guys ...but only got to see your performance like at least 3 times my whole high school life haha
That one cadet is lucky he doesnt have my 1st sergeant. He would have been in hell
The first time I watched this video, besides the rifle drop, I thought it was flawless, but now the more I watch it, the more flaws I find
Meh, I agree, but they're just high-school cadets. I'd cut them some slack.
They were rushed, and as they went, they got more and more out of sync. I'm in color guard at NOMMA and if you drop the rifle, you have to do 25 push ups with the rifle in your hands
Ben Phillips I agree but if it was from Brandeis john Jay or Clark they would not even preform
I love how the camera zooms in on the kid in the middle whos way off line and keeps messing up haha
Lol the little kid that keeps saying "aaand finale"
I'm in the Flour Bluff Unit - Corpus Christi, TX
Guy that dropped his rifle recovers pretty quickly
I wonder how many push ups were evolved in the making of the film?
damn hope to not drop my rifle anytime soon
That drop though xD
Oh man I remember this from high school! 😍 I miss those days I'm 2nd squad leader im the one at 1:20 with the glasses on the far right lol
The jackass who dropped the rifle?
@LaTron, the little kid is Rael's sister:) she loves her brothers march
HE DROPPED HIS RIFLE FUNNIEST CLIP OF MY LIFE LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fav part was the fliping to the other marine
i was in this!!! we did so good!
Kailua High school AFJROTC exhibition. 1 drop= 100 push ups.
+james higgins At a practice or an actual event?
At a practice. :)
james higgins I highly doubt you guys actually do that
Juju hitthatbeat if feels like that. at Brandeis they stopped doing that so now if we drop we do that small part like 30 times
That little kid going "Oorah/Hoorah" after they had said it made me laugh a little.
dropped his fucking rifle.
In afjrotc that’s push with the rifle over ur hand and if let it fall u get more and u got recite things as well
in the part of texas I live we only have AFJROTC I really want to join MCJROTC
Doesn't matter be grateful you have a JROTC and I'm in texas and i have MCJROTC
@william hagen..

No one is Perfect Lad he shouldn't worry about it.
I feel like if the performance was slower the performance would be a lot easier and better looking
Amazing
i cant wait until my cadet ball 💜💜💜
I was in Army JROTC on a drill team, if I would have dropped the rifle, I would have gotten kicked out. The little crayon eater needs alot of work.

That's an interesting cover. I've never seen the strap
Great job
Thanks @zenon527
What are you even talking about? No one in this video is in a military uniform, they all are JROTC.
Remiksin F*CKING REALLY lmao
Oh man this one and john say silver eagles would have a good competition
See the thing is this was posted for viewing purposes, not a competition. In other words, no one really care if your battalion is better, your lack of being able to spell the word battalion is just icing on the cake.
I dont know how they did this with gloves
Chris Ryan the gloves have a grip on them. very small grip but sime
Slow it down count count count great skills. Rehearse it just a tad slow on all movements we all know when it comes to game time we all naturally speed up a bit Im a old MCJROTC driller myself but other than that good stuff devil pups
still this was pretty good
this is fun to do in my schools jrotc
I feel bad that he dropped his gun :/
whats the point of learning this
Damn gloves, they always threw me off too. :/
There drill sergeant definitely smoked them after this
victoria braswell yeah what core r u in army marines air force navy
If we drop our rifles we do 25 push ups and sign the rifle of shame
your lucky when I was in high school we had to do 100 lol
Soap rifles=15 black rifles=25 drill team rifles=50 push ups. AFJROTC...
im not in high school, middle school
same,we do more push up
Yeah i dropped my rifle once i had to do 10 push ups
Gamer Brony just 10?
Shoot... i would have been doing 60.🤣
Oh well, they did a few mistakes there...
But good recording ;)
I wonder what happens if u mess up two times
where are the rising suns and palm spins???
Thats more individual and duo than platoon
Nimitz njrotc batallion is beter
-for us in houston tx ia a tradition to go to nationals
Pretty sloppy I must say.
Travis Marin They aren't marines they're just playing marines
+JustSome762 they're in an organization funded by the Navy. If you didn't know, the Corps is under the Department of the Navy. Anyways, you are being trained to enter the Armed Forces. They aren't "playing Marines", they are in a school organization funded by the Navy.

drop the rifle 50 pushupa lol
i thought marines were the best our navy jrotc exhibition has no fails compared to this
Says "MarijuanaFragrance." What a god awful username.
1 dropped his gun 😂
If you knew how it felt to drop it, it wouldn't be funny to you.
SuperWyattguy I do know how it feels...
This was awhile back
I watched this as an early cadet thinking this was a good performance but now that I know all the spins and stuff this was horrible
Good drill team but it din't look outstanding cuz it looked like the cadets were rushing
Yea they were alright but the routine was to plain all they did we're doubles and hitting the floor
1 too short 2 really sloppy
y'all are wearin ur blues little sloppyy.. :/
Movements that are too quick are so fucking sloppy. Take notes and watch the Silent Drill Platoon
To many miss up
its ROTC, not the real world
L M F A O. JAJAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJAJAJA
u played yourself
It’s kinda sloppy and the routine is doing the same exact thing over and over
Wow these guys are in marine jrotc Im in army and cmon I'd make em look like crap
For real, So am I and me and my dual exhibition partner could put these kids to shame and we are 1st year exhibition members.
dakotacrumpler Typical Army cadets. Way too arrogant. You give the good cadets a bad name.
This very team is the current NATIONAL CHAMPION!!! This is a video taken by a proud mother and all you jealous fools should get over yourself. It wasn't a video posted to brag or get attention. It was posted for them!
Andrea Orona there a good team but they can be better it almost looks rushed as if the routine were to be put together in a day and props to them for being nats. champions
allthezmbies Zombee Branford or Clark could destroy your team any day
This routine has difficulty factors but is executed poorly wish some cadets being variated in parts obviously not meant to be variated. Over all it was alright
Idgaf what anyone else calls it but... There are no day people in the Marines... I know its MJROTC but still, it really doesn't look good.
caprock high is way better
well they sucked that team needs rifle PT so they can respect their rifles
I'm sorry but that rushed bs looms bad
Those blues do not fit at all
whats the point of this? tbh
To show discipline and precision of the Marines
+Garret Hughes they aren't Marines. They're in JROTC, they're high-school boys, and they did a good job if you ask me.
+Daniel Saucedo *MCJROTC cadets
But yes, to show discipline and precision
That was pretty bad. And that's coming from Air Force jrotc.
He should of been yelled at hard
Gomar pyle
It was such a shitty performance, all out of time, and not sharp at all.
That was terrible.
I'm tired of people in a uniform that they didn't earn.....
Fat Boy dropped his rifle.......
