I'm not an American, I'm a Canadian, but President Carter and his wife Rosalyn were not strangers to this country, or to my city, Winnipeg in particular. They traveled here several times over the last couple of decades to help in building homes with Habitat For Humanity. They were both outgoing, friendly and obliging. In fact, they were the embodiment of Southern charm.
My deepest condolences to President Carter, his family and to America. RIP Rosalyn 🙏

Yes, we certainly could use some of her class and humanity nowadays. Sheer greed seems to be consuming the US, but the Carters will always remain shining examples of what charitable greatness we are still capable of if we only learned to listen to our better selves with greater consistency. Mrs. Carter leaves a tremendous void in our nation's collective sense of moral purpose.

Does mean much coming from a cult45er.

@@timmyp34 Back when Mrs. Carter was out campaigning for her husband in 1980 she told a news conference that she and Carter are 'personally very opposed to abortion' and always have been.
When Carter was governor of Georgia, she said, 'We wrote the most conservative law (on abortion) that the Supreme Court would allow.'
Why is it not surprising that an anti-abortion guy is deplorably informed about what a fine FLOTUS like Mrs. Carter thought about the issue of abortion? Being deplorably informed is a must have for CONservaives.

) She inspired more people to volunteer for Habitat. She said: “It’s never a sacrifice,” Mrs. Carter has said. “It’s always a blessing. It just does something to your soul … to be able to help people who really need help.”
