New 12-story Midtown tower will include exclusive members-only club
The Citizen, a 12-story tower being built in Midtown, is set to open in July with 75% of its space pre-leased with tenants to include a private, members only club.
The tower, already changing the downtown Oklahoma City and Midtown skyline, is being developed by Bond Payne, chairman of Heritage Trust Co., and Renzi Stone, executive chairman of Saxum. Both companies have their offices across the street from the tower at the Heritage Building, which was redeveloped by Payne.
Payne said the building, at NW 5 and Robinson, is on budget and on schedule for an opening in July 2024.
“This a highly curated mix of tenants, people who are shaping our city and committed to moving our city forward,” Payne said. “We’re trying to bring financial, entrepreneurial, philanthropic and social capital together.”
What to know about Citizen House, the private club coming to The Citizen in OKC
Citizen House by Dallas-based WoodHouse will be a part of that mix, spanning 13,000 square feet on the fourth floor with an array of culinary concepts, bars, lounges and private event spaces. The project is being designed by London- and New York-based architecture and interior design firm, Michaelis Boyd.
