Hey mate, nice work i drive the same car,and have done about the same but I have a false floor where I can put a lot of material in it .use all the places that i can find, nice work, one problem for me i dont have side doors
Great video. I converted a transit custom last year but I’m looking to do a Berlingo this year. I would have carpeted the headliner too as part of the one piece of carpet you used. I did it in the transit custom and made it look so much better. Good work
Hi Stephen, yeah i painted it in grey emulsion and then varnished over it. Probably should have done it a different way as the varnish yellowed the color a little.
@@DjSilish something a we bit different the seats in the van i bought needs a good clean seen people use Drill brushes are these any good i was thinking brush with some 1001 carpet cleaner might do the trick
@@deranocasper Yep indeed, drill brushes will make it quicker but a decent scrubbing brush from a pound shop will do the trick also, any kind of carpet cleaner should be good. If you can get some AutoSmart G101 that will de-grease and clean them in one its super cheap if you can get some. If you dont have a carpet extractor dont soak the seat and use loads of microfibres to try and draw out the dirt, throw into a tub once saturated. Hope that helps. :)
Hi JP, id start with the electrics if your going running power and then ply line and insulation. That will give you a good reference for fitting carpet and furniture etc. Thx for watching :)
Too much use carpet/cloth in a van gathers/absorbs dust/moisture while driving/stationed in the long run n requires vacuum cleaning. Later van becomes stinky n itchy Setup is good.....😊
Hi Josh, In total I ordered 5m x 2m width of the carpet and that just about did the van. I bought it from highpeakconversions.co.uk very helpful I rang them and found them very decent. I also used 5 of the high temperature spray adhesive. Hope that helps 👍 I'm not too sure what thickness it was probably 3 or 4mm it's the four way flex carpet.
