For bathtowels, I usually recommend using knockdown stitches depending on how long the fibers are. If they are short any WSS would do. I want double up on it thou.
I haven't received any complaints and the ones I made for myself are holding up well. I do use a heat press when putting them on. The heat press is great because it distributes the heat eventually and adds pressure to the item when pressing.
I love this lady. At this point I just play her videos in my store all day.

Can you do knock down stitches without buying another module.essence I don’t see a reason to buy for only knock down stitch
You can use embossed files instead of knockdown stitches.
