This was without a doubt one of his best performances. What I admired most about Elliot Yamin and what made him in a class all by himself was the degree of complexity in the songs he chose. His vocals were always impeccable but the songs he chose like Melinda Doolittle were always tougher than those chosen by the other contestants.

You heard Tommy Mottola...raspy and rough & tumble. See,this is why Elliott does it for me. He sings like a man oughta. He can tear the lid off a rowdy-ass number like this then turn around a break your heart with a soul searing ballad. So many of the greatest singers have this special quality.

Make your music like this Elliot!! Yes love songs are great and you are superb at singing them, but you need your hit to be a song that can make people feel upbeat and dance to it. Awesome performance!
I'm sure many won't agree with me, but I think Elliot Yamin is the greatest contestant ever! He was robbed of the AI title. I really am shocked and amazed that America let him down in the end. I voted so many times for him, and ever since this show I've always thought Katherine or Taylor could shine his shoes. Certainly, I think in the end America really let him down. Why didn't you vote for him, America? Why?????
Omg that was SOOOO awkward when stupid ryna seacrest made that incredibly sexist and offensive remark towards paula! 😳 kudos for both randy and simon calling him out hard core! esp since theres always some weird dynamic between simon and paula maybe cause she was always loopy while on the show. ~ And what a lame ass for trying to defend himself and shut simon down. so fucked up. Kudos to them though.
Not so much as stage presence, but more importantly, he has, hands down, better vocals than Taylor and McPhee. Without votefortheworst website, Taylor might not have been in the finals, or indeed the even top 5.

Elliott makes magic , just like Elvis did. Not many have that gift of electric vibe, and Elliott got his portion of it.
I had never been so obsessed with a persons well being... but Elliott was worth it!

I think he is the best male vocal in AI.He has an absolutely brilliant voice. He should have won season 5.i think he did wrong song choices on top 3.
