    This isn't an advert, this is a public service announcement. The text at the end reads "Save Energy".

      SuperPianoMaestro in reality, it's not the real reason. In Ussr, electricity utilisation was.... BAD ! So the soviet government created this advertisement for justify the black outs.

      Comrade. You must save on energy and electricity. In gulag, you won't have to worry about such things.

      It wouldn't have made that much of a difference to energy output. They had a more coal and nuclear plants aside from Chernobyl

      Ashley Sutherland, it continued to work until year 2000, just not in full power.

    • @sutherlandA1

      With over 3500mw of power generation across 4 plants, you take one offline and reduce the rest to 60-70% of operating capacity and I'm sure it had an impact to power supply

    • @aimarov.5568
      @aimarov.5568 Год назад +3

      Chernobyl NPP was not the only power plant in the entire USSR, are you kidding me. It was just one of several NPPs in Soviet Ukraine. So it shutting down would have an abysmal effect on the country's energy supply. Not to mention that since they were a single country, other regions still could supply them.
