Hi Roy, Some fine watches, you certainly haven"t wasted your time, iconic movie "A fistful of dollars" a movie that"s impossible to miss & watch, totally agree in your thoughts on "Romancing the stone" a forgotten action & adventure movie & Douglas, Tunner & De Vito were great in their three movies together & fitting last movie together in "The War of the Roses" i always mix my movie genres in my movie viewings as i go along. Keep talking movies Sir.
@eastwood4lifefan334 many thanks Carlos. I often go to the shelves with no idea what I'm going to watch and wait for something to beckon me. That's probably why I watch so much of a mixture of stuff. The only genre I don't really gravitate towards is comedy. Maybe I'm just a miserable old git. Thanks for watching mate.
Hey Roy; great watches mate 😀🍿🎸🎶 I may check out ‘Eyewitness’ at some point down the line; I got that other Jodie Foster film to watch which is called ‘The Five Corners’ 😊👍 Heard great things about ‘Walkabout’; did really like ‘Don’t Look Now’; saw it last month; that ending 😱 When Indicator next have a sale on mate; I may just pick up the film ‘Ship Of Fools’ after you speaking so highly of it and that film with Julianne Moore; intrigued me from the premise! Fantastic video as always Roy; you definitely pick up on so many interesting titles; everytime I watch these videos I always find something new to add to my Neverending watchlist 😂🙌 Take care mate; hope you get to 500 very soon bud and Premier League is coming home today 😀🍿⚽️🙌🍺🎸🎶
@samglendenning9884 ah thanks as always Sam. 👍 Likewise with your videos I end up with more on my list. You should see how long my CEX shopping list is 😆 Walkabout has an ending to rival Don't Look Now 😁 Yes good to get the prem back. I watched the United match last night. You just can't beat the frenetic nature of English football. Here's hoping your Toffees don't age you too much this season 😅
@@roybarratt5609 oh tell me about it mate; there’s still thousand of titles out there I still want lol; neverending mate 😱😂 I think Spurs should be good this season mate; definitely Top 6 at least; I’m confident we be around mid table this season; but who can tell mate; with Moshiri running our club still lol 😂🤦♂️ I reckon 3-0 against Brighton I’m gonna predict today mate 😀⚽️💙🍿🎸🎶 I may watch the West Ham Vs Villa game later on 👍 Thanks Roy and I definitely need to check out more of Nicholas Rogue’s movies 😀👍
Fistful of Dollars-Masterpiece Romancing the Stone-Great fun! Walkabout-Jenny Agutter..nuff said 😂 Eyewitness-Ok movie, great cast Pawnbroker-I saw it when I was young, needs a rewatch Ship of Fools-Haven’t seen it 😮 Far from Heaven-Great performances Haven’t seen the 1931 film either. Great video as usual Roy!👍
Great video Roy, was trying to remember the name of that Nicholas Roeg movie as heard it was up there with Don't Look Now. A few sound depressing although interesting
@roybarratt5609 Picked up Walkabout Roy, appreciate the recommendation. Haven't watched it yet, looks interesting though. Must be fate as they had the Second Sight big box edition in CEX second hand in good condition at £18
Great video Roy, I really enjoy Romancing the Stone, it's a shame it's heavily OOP now because that's one I would want in my collection, haven't seen The Jewel of the Nile yet. Will add Walkabout to my list to watch sounds interesting. I loved Far From Heaven, might be my favourite Todd Haynes film that I have seen but it definitely doesn't put you in an uplifting mood. Have a great week.
@ollielovesfilms6928 Thanks Ollie, I got Romancing the Stone and The Jewel of the Nile for £25 for both on ebay a few months ago. I snapped them up for that price.
Absolutely stellar week of watches there Roy! Romancing the Stone is such a classic, I'd love to give that film and the sequel a re-watch. Definitely ones I need to track down on bluray. I thought Walkabout was amazing as well. It was one that I couldn't shake for a while after I watched it, harrowing but strangely uplifting in parts as well. So glad you enjoyed Ship of Fools. I totally agree that it didn't feel like 2 and a half hours at all, such an engaging watch! You've really got me interested in that Pabst double set from Eureka. Shame that it's not in their 25% off sale at the moment or I would have gone for it straight away. Loving the Blu-Roy Towers sign as well!
@goosesmovies hi Warren ha you were the first to notice my new sign. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Romancing The Stone and Jewel Of The Nile on ebay for £25 for both. I was pleased with that as they're long oop. Yes the Pabst double set was a very profound watch and I could imagine right up your street. Although both set in totally different situations they are linked by the humane themes in the films. Ship of fools as you said was incredible. I need to explore more Kramer.
Nice movie choices this week Roy, love Romancing The Stone, I agree it was unfairly compared to Raiders at the time. You’re right there is a blu-ray of Walkabout (i have it in the collection) Jenny was 19 when they filmed it 😬 yeah Eyewitness is a slow burn but I find anything starring William Hurt tends to be drawn out (maybe it’s just him 😆) The Pawnbroker is a powerful film, I was lucky enough to get a copy to review from Imprint Films 👍nice one Roy, take care mate👍😃👍
I love Romancing the Stone, probably more than Indy 2,3 & 4 tbh and I’ve never liked The Dollars Trilogy as much I should or want to but what can you do.
Hi Roy. Thanks for making me question whether it was Sunday or not. I have seen all of these except for Kameradschaft. When I saw Eyewitness it was originally under the title The Janitor. Love Walkabout, Romancing the Stone and Fistful, and Steiger gives one of his best performances in The Pawnbroker, I’m not always a fan of him. Far From Heaven is great and influenced by Douglas Sirk movies. Not sure if you are a fan of Sirk?
@neilsmoviechannel3199 hello Neil. The only Sirk film I think I've seen is The Tarnished Angels which being a fan of flying films I enjoyed. A Time To Love And A Time To Die has been on my radar for ages but the Eureka Masters of Cinema bluray is hellishly expensive.
@@roybarratt5609 The Tarnished Angels is great. Definitely recommend All that Heaven Allows, Magnificent Obsession and Written on the Wind for the full Sirk Technicolor and melodrama experience that influenced Haynes
I watched Walkabout myself only a few days ago and thought it was a fantastic and highly original film. I have the original review from Variety magazine which gave it a terrible review. I think they must have been watching a completely different film from me!
@002DrEvil I read some reviews after I watched it and it does seem to be very divisive. It's pretty experimental so I can see some people not gravitating towards it. But like you I enjoyed it.

Great watches Roy I’m sure I’ve seen Far from Heaven, many years ago. Times were so different. Brilliant and loved these watches.😀👍
@carlinio9 hi Carl thanks 😊 it was an even more weird world back then 😀

@timcole418 ah nice one Tim. That's a good price. The dvd wasn't terrible but I'd like a bluray
I love far from heaven I also love the colour tones in the movie. I bought it on Blu-ray from Germany
@davidmckee2898 oh yes David,it was very autumnal. I meant to mention that. I may well investigate the bluray myself.
