    Just purchased a Jaguar F-Pace S for my wife, and have to say we love it! It stands out in the world of boring SUVs and is actually fun to drive; never thought I'd be able to say that about our family vehicle! I drive a Porsche 991.2 CS, and am happy to have the Jag in the garage along with it. The size is much more practical than the Macan, and I think it drives better than all the Macan variants.
    Two thumbs up for the F-Pace!

    One elephant in the room is just how bad the XT5 is compared to these. Really the XC60, F Pace, Q5 just destroy the sad offering from Cadillac.

  • @dallasangler

    Good one, very informative. As part of future comparisons, I would be interested in hearing what your projected, lets say 5 year, "resale value" value would be. The lack of categorical scoring in favor of an abundance of the reviewers impression of the vehicle really makes for one tasty review. Well hopefully not just one, I'll keep watching and
    Thank you.

    Should be the F-Pace vs. the Audi SQ5

    • @samsonokoro5036
      @samsonokoro5036 6 лет назад +3

      Why? this isn't the Jaguar F pace R, it's the basic 3.5T. why would you want to compare it to Audi's performance division? Both are suited and in direct competition.

    • @NSUScooter
      @NSUScooter 5 лет назад +1

      Samson Okoro actually, the F Pace and F Pace R have the same engine. An SQ5 would’ve still been a more fair comparison

    • @jamesjdm
      @jamesjdm 2 месяца назад

      No.
      The F pace 3.5t is the direct competitor to the Q5
      It's not Jag's fault that their vehicle is leaps and bounds better
      The F pace S would be direct competitor to the SQ5
      And even then the Audi doesn't match up

    Nice job boys .... enjoyed the review & info. Totally agree that Q5 Nav screen looks "stuck on dash as afterthought"...interesting that all future models Audi marketing materials show an integrated Nav screen. I think a lot of people may be concerned about JAG mechanical reliability based on some past history with this brand ....your thoughts on that. Keep up the nice work ...I just subscribed and look forward to future videos. Full disclosure , I own the Q5 TDI ..... man I love this car, nothing bad to say. A true comfortable road trip monster ! cheers, BW

  • @maemiranda

    Love the comparison focused on the actual cars and not the production drama, both hosts give knowledgeable insight of both cars, while the cars remain the star of the video.And yes, the F-Pace is turning heads away from the boredom of X5s, RRs, and Audis

  • @AgaJalal
    @AgaJalal 6 лет назад +4

    Great review. I feel like with the F-Pace, a deal breaker is the price. If one wants a car with things standard for luxury SUV (keyless entry, blind spot monitor, good screen, etc.), the price quickly climbs up to 60s.

  • @dylanw890
    @dylanw890 6 лет назад +3

    I kind of disagree with you saying that the Jaguar F-Pace is bland. It's your personal feeling and I respect it but for an individual who buys a jaguar they are not buying one for its design risks. People buy a jaguar for its classy and distinctive look. Everything within the vehicle has a purpose and it is all integrated very nicely. While the materials may not be as good as the mercedes I feel this car has more of a purpose to its design. What i mean by purpose is that it is more functional. Overall, this was very informative and well thoughout review.

    Wow great video, I can't help myself but comparing it to Head2Head and Ignition on Motor Trend and I have to say I like this just as much maybe this doesn't have music and shots from outside but it feels more natural, it's too much acting now on Motor Trend

  • @samsonokoro5036
    @samsonokoro5036 6 лет назад +7

    I don't know what's so exceptional about that Audi interior, it has plastics everywhere. May be you prefer the interior design to the f pace which kind of has a plain dashboard layout, but in terms of quality materials used i'll say they are about on par. But the Jag is by far the better looking car exterior and has a better rear interior design and finish. Then of course the Jaguar is by far the better performance and handling vehicle, it's no brainer for me though, i'll rather have the F pace all day all year.

    I bought an audi q5 four days ago and today sold it and bought an f-pace. Why i did it? Cause q5 has spme desing failures that no one talk about them. First cupholders are awkward and misplaced as well as cd driver. it's really nosense.i cannot drink anything inside the car. this is so important to me cause i'm driving from switzerland to italy and vice versa. During long way i need to drink something. Secondly, same manner windows buttons are behind my arm. I guess that q5 designed for short armed person.Thirdly the metal base around gearbox is reflecting sunlight directly into my eyes. It's really dangerous and i cannot believe that. no one does not notice that. Fourthly, contrary to comments on infotainment system it is not easy to use. For example to find somewhere for navi you must use touchpad however if you are still driving it's not possible to write something cause the touchpad is not responsive. You should focus on touchpad instead of your way. And due to touchpad placement gearbox and cupholders are misplaced, so behind the hands. And this new screen is not in conformity with whole design. it is really strange. The menus are so complicated and you have to do more than one movement to reach your desired menu or function and further to that you have to use different tools to do that. For example to select driving mode you think that you can use the buttons however you can use just up and down function and you must tap on the main button on the base to choose the driving mode
    It is really stupid. And finally the two screen concept are so confused. At the same time two different navi screen appears. But in any case you have to just focus on the road for a safe driving and the design must be so simple and smart. But no one talk about such design failures. it is incredible to ignore all of those.there are also a lot of things to be told. at the end of the day i choose fpace even i lost money because of this rapid shifting.but at least i'm now happy. Fpace provides me simplicity and i can drink something with great comfort and windows buttons are easy reached placed. The comfort for me just those not shapes,not coloured lightnings.the cockpit is my living area and must be simple and smartly designed.q5 failed.note: i was very happy with my 2016 q5. Above all i have a maserati ghibli and i adore it. It's a different thing :)

    • @aliosmanozdilek8860

    I have the 2016 Q5 and today I got the 2018 Q5 as a loaner car and I do not like the car at all. Seating is not as high up (almost feels like a sedan), I like to drive with left hand rested on door panel and on 2018 its just not in the right position to rest my elbow. Just don't like Audi transmission - lag, jitteriness messes up your driving experience.

      "...Still think the SUV craze is a bit over the top!" Really? Performance in a vehicle that's actually practical, and can haul 5 people with room for luggage... and that's over the top? how about a $500,000 lambo that can't be driven on most roads due to low ground clearance, and loses half it's value after signing... now that's over the top.

    I'd like to see how the all new 2018 Volvo XC60 compares in this category. I like both of these vehicles, however I think Jaguar lacks the technology that Audi and Volvo are known for. Jaguar-Land Rover apparently hasn't received the industry memo that 4G LTE connectivity and Android Auto and Apple Carplay are more than passing fads for luxury car buyers.

    I hope Carlos loses the other guy and does these comparison's himself. There is no chemistry between the duo. Period.

    @2:00... First of all, the jag F-pace is a PERFORMANCE SUV, not a Luxury SUV. They don't even know the vehicle class of the jag.

    You chose 35t over 25t, why don’t you chose Sq5 over Q5? Jaguar has the worst luxury quality. All junk materials, that’s why they always have quality issues.

    audi q5 wins, not even a comparison, transmission tech, safety tech, actually cheaper! (perhaps in usa they re the same), performance, and the audi seats DO recline. jag doesn t even has as much tech as average hatchback lol, any option throws the freaking car to even more insane prices. the lack of ergonomics when you put the window controls on the top of the door, what da heck jag??!!

    JLR reliability and quality are horrendous.

    The Caucasian guy (Mr. sideburns) says "like" way too much. He sounds like a stupid Kardashian (Hey "sideburns", notice the correct use for "like"). I think the Q5 is the clear winner based on dependability factors between the two brands. Chances are it'll last much longer. Plus, its interior is quite a bit nicer.
