I agree completely! Been a fan of theirs since '85 when Soldier Under Command came out. Ive seen them in the big stadium a few times and a few times in small venues. They never disappoint.
I am an Agnostic fam of metal and this is my first time hearing this Christian song. It was top notch and I am a fan now!! Well done! Thank you, TNT for giving this band a listen!
Luckily you don’t have to be religious to enjoy great music. I understand that usually is a preconceived notion about Christian music but Stryper is unique
These boys have insane vocals…always have! Their gifts never cease, everything Stryper does is phenomenal! They’ve never changed. Amen sister! Praising Jesus is what matters! ♥️
Man Stryper has been around for 36 years!! Thirty six years my Dad is turning 53 years old this year and my Uncle is turning 51 this year and they've been listening to their music ever since their high school years and yeah my Brother is hooked on their music and I am too, man I remember first listening to one of their earlier songs Soldiers in Command and just saying the name of that song just brings me back to my childhood where has the time gone cause I heard that song when I was 8 or 9 years old and now 10 or 11 years now I'm going to be 20 years old this year it's crazy and I love the Sweet brothers Michael and Robert and I love Oz Fox those guys are awesome and Michael he hasn't lost his screamin voice yet and he is 57 years old now and those guys don't look anything like their time from the 80s now but their music is getting better for sure nowadays but you still have to admire how far they've come since the 80s and looking forward to what their next album will be like??!! 🙂😁👍👍🤘🤘
Stryper was part of the hair metal days and were very popular.....but because of them promoting christianity, it held them back after a few years in the 80's.....Michael Sweet still sounds great....one of the best screamers out there !!!
Stryper came out back in 81. I was just a tender 6 years old. I found them when I was 12. They have actually gone all these years and you never heard or hear anything bad about the whole band or an individual in the band acting badly. They're never in the spotlight and have gone through more violence from an audience than any other band. And they still keep going. Like when they first passed out bibles to the crowd, the crowd let them pass ALL the bibles out, then they threw them back at about 70 miles an hour at Stryper and they keep doing it. I absolutely love these guys.
Right off the bat I see you digging it! 😁👍 It's good to see an open minded lovely woman feeling the heavy presence of God through this amazing band. Thank you for your reaction and God bless 😁👍
when you are down with the Lord and hearing some of their songs, will bring tears to your eyes and take you to a whole new spiritual level. IT'S BEAUTIFUL AMEN
Whoa! 😳😲🤯🤯🤯. What year is this from? Michael hasn't changed a bit. In fact, his voice sounds deeper and is projecting incredibly. What an amazing group. The groove that Robert is doing has an infectious punch. My chest is still hurting after listening to this. Thanks Mike for sharing this.
TNT, I have been listening to Stryper since 1986. What makes Stryper so amazing is they are just as bold with their lyrics as they are with their music. I have listed the 15 best Stryper songs below. Listen to any of these Stryper songs and be blown away: 1. Blood From Above 2. Divider 3. Heaven 4. Yahweh 5. Fallen 6. Not That Kind Of Guy 7. Rock The Hell Out Of You 8. The Reign 9. The Writings On The Wall 10. In God We Trust 11. To Hell With The Devil 12. More Than A Man 13. The Way 14. The Rock That Makes Me Roll 15. Surrender
Saw them in concert in 1986 and they were amazing! Extremely approachable and friendly. Got to talk to Michael Sweet and Oz Fox for a brief second and they were so humble and thankful! The band is so underrated. They have been putting out ridiculously amazing music for almost 40 years (started as Roxy Regime in 1983)! Michael Sweet is coming me if the best vocalist I have ever heard, and is still solid today!
I love this song. Not only does it rock, but it's also a great song about the trial and crucifixion of our Lord Jesus. If someone ever asks how they're supposed to be able to atone for all their sins, the answer is quite simple: you don't have to atone because Jesus did the atoning for you. He laid down his life for us and paid the price we should have paid. Yes, it's important to repent and ask for forgiveness for our sins, but the atoning part has already been done.
For those that love metal and the lord. You can have both in the house of God. There is a christian metal church in Dayton, OH. Look them up. It's awsome. I would go but I live in Massachusetts.
YES I CONCUR WITH U MISS LADY THEY SHOULD PLAY THIS IN CHURCH .IN FACT EVEN THE PSALMIST KING DAVID HAD SAID SING UNTO THE LORD (YAHWEH)( REAL NAME .) A NEW SONG .IF MANY CHURCHES R SINGING OUT OF HYMNALS THEY ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO SCRIPTURE AND JUST FOLLOWING AFTER TRADITION OF WOMEN AN MEN .LIKE THE PHARISEES AN SCRIBES DID .AND YES MICHAEL SWEET IS AN AWESOME SINGER GIVING PRAISE TO YAHWEH N JESUS (YASHUAH)
It's isn't really so much the genre of music that is the problem, Jesus never commanded us to use musical instruments in public worship, but he did explicitly tell us to sing. That's why up until around the middle ages, the church did not use musical instruments. The Greek word used in the NT was Psallo, which at the time of Christ, meant to sing for God. The word Acapella, means to sing with instruments, as in the Church. Outside of public worship, there's no real issue with Christian themed music in general, as long as it does not paint God in untruthful manner, or in a way that hurts your ability to preach the Gospel.
This track stands up tall against anything. The most underrated band ever. Live performances just as good if not better.
Live shows are freakin phenominal!!!
