    Stunned. This cleared the trifecta on my 2005 MINI R53 (no codes showing). Now I have to figure out how and why! Thank you for the video.

    I have had this problem happen to me twice. The first time, I did change the DSC module, which was very expensive. Then it happened a second time. The common thing was that my Z4 (E85) had been not used for quite a while. I had to (first time) replace the battery, and the second time I had to recharge it. After driving for a very brief time, the three lights came on.
    This second time I tried this trick and it worked. And I can tell that the DSC is NOT broken because, if I park the car uphill and start, the DSC holds the position. So this, I believe, has got to be a software issue, not a DSC issue. BMW has these problems AFTER you have left your car parked for a long time (a couple of months): the windows will NOT go up with the automatic function, and the A/C may not start (valve might me locked). So, try this trick, see if it works, but it may be more than you think. And try not to let your Z4 parked for too long. They are meant to be driven with frequency.
    Ps. I don't know if this fix will last for any time.

    Nice, I wish my fix was that easy! Lol I get the codes 5dd0 and 5dd2.. had a mobile tech check it out and claim I needed a new abs module, expensive part so I’ve been driving with the lights lol

    Do you need to use bmw scanner to clear code? Or u can follow the procedure and it’ll still work?

      Yes, the program is BMW Scanner installed in my Laptopt (Windows System).

    Had that same issue, just drive the car it will disappear and the ecu shall reset itself. I have the 2003 x5 3.0i which is located behind the glove compartment.

    Ola buenas tengo un e39 530d manual el 184 se me enciende por las mañanas el asc i el abs le puesto la makina i me dice sistema de blokeo de freno antibloqueo dsc i mas abajo pone señal de la rueda trasera izquierda le e canviado el sensor i nada sigue igual se enciende los dos testigos en frio por las mañanas los borro cn la makina pero vuelven otra vez dime algo si puede por fa un saludo

      Buenas, pues si no es el sensor podría ser el módulo, que con el paso del tiempo y al estar cerca del calor que emite el motor se deterioran las soldaduras internas y empieza a dar fallos…Hay por ahí alguna empresa que creo que los repara, pero por suerte a mí todavía no me ha hecho falta (toco madera). Comprueba también antes que el mazo de cables que pasa por el maletero no tenga algún cable cortado y también esté volviendo loco a la electrónica, que a veces también puede darse el caso, es un fallo común de estos coches. Espero que lo puedas solucionar, saludos

    Solo tienes que dejar la batería desconectada toda la noche?

      Si. Investiga también los cables del maletero, a veces misteriosamente puede dar ese fallo si algún cable específico está pelado y hace contacto. Suerte!

    Should have turned the car off and on again in the video just to make sure it was fixed. Strange that turning the steering should fix a brake problem when you are literally bleeding the pneumatic steering. I am in Granada espana and I cannot find a competent Taller here to fix a bunch of issues with my 523i 1997 which I need to restore, do you know of any here.

      Indeed I turned the car off and on again in the video just to make sure it was fixed (see the video from 3:05...). Steering angle sensor resets values by turning the steering that way and I suspect that was the problem, because this car is needing an alignment after inner tie rods were changed in the past and since that event those errors showed up. Anyway no Warning lights by the moment 🤞. Finding a competent taller here in South of Spain is a hard job, that’s because i always fix my cars by myself 😉.       @@TheultimateDIYmachine Good thing you told me because I am changing my tie rods Lemfoerder and most of the querlenkers TRW etc, and the fatal problem of the leaking steering pneumatics as well and the dreaded single vanos low to no power, cannot even drive up a hill at the moment... got a mountain of parts .. just need somewhere to fix it. Renting a lift costs 96 euros per day .. in Munich it costs 50 Euros .. Thanks for the video .. and where in Andalucia are you.

    Me paso el año pasado pero daba fallos esporádicos. Al mes descubrí por casualidad que los cables del portón trasero de tanto cerrar y abrir el maletero estaban casi cuarteados y cuando tocaban entre si aparecía este fallo. Un poco de cinta, tubo retráctil y arreglado. Todos me decían que es el módulo abs. Menos mal...

      Que curioso, gracias por la respuesta! La verdad es que lo que comentas de los cables dañados del maletero es un fallo bastante endémico en los E39. Lo que desconocía es que incluso podría dar fallo de sistema ABS 😧

      Hola Adrián, a mí me tiene loco este tema, he puesto tres partes eléctricas del módulo de abs... Sensores nuevos, pasado inpa y nsc expert codificando la última unidad de abs... Y sigue saliendo el fallo... Tengo el fuelle del letrero mal... Le echaré un vistazo, igualmente cambiaré el buje y cojinete trasero izquierdo que es donde me sale el error... Bueno a ver si se arregla y me olvidó del tema ... Que me tiene loco

      @@tony_el_manco mira lo del fuelle aver si hay suerte antes de cambiar cojinete. Lo de codificar abs, para estas temas si sabes hacerlo bien hazlo si no llévalo a la bmw. Más de uno se yo que lo intento hacerlo, que un amigo de un amigo, al final a la bmw y solucionado. Mira bien el cableado de los sensores, me refiero los que están debajo del guardabarros, aver si estuviera cuarteados... Suerte
