I never forget the scene which comes next: the customer is that special holosuite program is seeing the body of Kira in bed, with the HEAD OF QUARK attached to it. I had great laughs.

I was really surprised hearing Odo's real voice for the first time. I grew up with the German dubs and his voice is much higher in those.
Interestingly, Bodo Wolf's voice does seem to fit Odo somehow in my opinion. 🙂
I can’t remember his name in the series, but ironically Rene Auberjonois played a Quark like character who was always greedy for profit in the Aladdin TV show. He was an impish bird like man.
I don't blame Quark for trying to get holopictures of Kira.

- Mirror Sisko. And actual Sisko had a snog at her.
- She and O'brien had a close call.
- Quark and Dukat both wanted her.
- Jake had a crush on her.
- Zek was interested in her.
- Tiron wanted a hologram of her.
- Odo fell for her.
- The only male character who didn't have an onscreen romance with her was Bashir... but offscreen was another story!
Classic DS9. Best Star Trek show ever made!
I really liked their interactions in this episode, they were like a comedic duo.
And I thought Torres was intense
Nana Visitor would have made a fin bad ass Klingon as well I guess.

You know what would've been hilarious? When Kira throws the holo-imager behind her and it hits Morn on the head knocking him off his stool.

Actually, there might have actually been a market for a sort of "you command DS9" program, kind of like Miles and Bashir fighting the Battle of Britain. And with clothes on, even. It would just have to be Kira-less.

Rene A has been one of my favorite actors since Benson, his cutdown fights with the title character are legendary,
When I discovered Rene was also in the recent Boston Legal with Shatner, THEN I decided to check it out and did a first few seasons of binge watch. Then they focused on the new younger actors and it got boring.
He was also in the MASH movie, playing the priest...
I was a tween and crushed on Rene in Benson, only watched TV M*A*S*H. Then random saw him in shows. DS9 I was grooving on Odo first few shows and then learned the actor was Rene and was tickled pink to see him again in something I loved watching.
eta- After alot of watching DS9 25th Anniversary&DS9Doc recent panels, interview comments by Rene, I've lost my enjoyment of his aura to the fans. Somewhere mid2000' during BostonLegal he's asskissed to Shatner like a puppy & picked up the same snide cynical aloof arrogant 'I'm the best you(TrekNerd) should be thankful' attitude.
I will never forget Rene replying to a heartfelt fan spilling out how they'd spent$ come all the way JUST TO SEE HIM & another Ds9 actor....AND RENE BLURTS OUT TO A SHOCKED Audience - "REALLY, GET A LIFE!?!" then realized whatthefuck he'd done and backtracked 'Oh joking!' But I could tell then on, Rene's outlook about his time on DS9 had changed to annoyed resentful, he was SO BETTER THAN that waste of a show/Odo character deserved more or Accolades for his other years of acting. Shatner taught him to cynically bitterly MILK THE CROWD for their slavish fandom.

ITA, they DS9 writers dropped all character story logic built here just to make HIS WAY, as this holoKira was erased by Kira&Odo here & the Bashir's 007 program crew patterns all should have been erased or removed once the command crew was saved downloaded. BUT THE WORSE HIS WAY logic is have Odo feeling okay about Kira being made into a hologram by Vic WITHOUT her knowledge or approval AND HE just is so desperate in love agrees to Vic's plan. So I put my mind on blank Odo/Kira fandom blindness & just enjoy the friends become lovers & finally kiss trope.

I like Torres fine, but she comes off as a little whiny sometimes, whereas Kira has that vibe "I will actually punch you if you keep messing with me" vibe I love so much.
I'm with Kira here. Torres loses control of her emotions sometimes, but I get the impression that it is all more deliberate with Kira.

S3E8 Meridian. The whole episode should have JUST been this hilarious story arc and the crap of the Dax again leading people to disaster due to her science curiosity and added worse a lame love story, should've been left out or made the B arc.
