Grandioso!!

It took him 3 yrs to complete. He Wrote the Story, the screenplay, composed the music, sang and acted in the video, and partly produced it. He did not Direct this! Dimash will have a one-year internship at the leading university of the USA - New York Film Academy, specializing in “Directing” at the Los Angeles campus... This is his call for Peace !
Thanks for your reaction to this masterpiece I’m enclosing a deep and knowledgeable analysis by Heiderose Kober that you might enjoy:
« This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.
Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself.
The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people.
Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way.
The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war.
The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against?
The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/history/education/educator-resources/primary-source-sets/world-war-ii/american-troops-move-through
The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption.
When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby.
The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.”
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect.
Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad. »

The defeat of Nazi Germany was due to the resistance of nearly 27 million deaths and the liberation of Berlin by the Russian armies.
The massive bombing of German cities by civilians was not militarily justified.

Welcome home Lucas! Good to have you back. I missed you and that not very ugly face; the wonderful, intelligent, insightful and sensitive perspectives that you share with us.
I think the last scene was of him and the others, who had died, heading towards the light; with him leading them.
If I had been writing it, I would have had someone, a best friend, helping the faltering then fallen man - to say no man left behind. Show his friend desperately struggling, even if fruitlessly, to help, to save his stricken friend.
If my friend fell like that, rest assured, I would never leave him alone to face whatever fate awaited us - even if it meant that I was to die.
And as a man who has made such a sacrifice in this lifetime, I can say that knowing - that I know how to walk that walk, Lucas.
But, perhaps, that was the way it was because it made it more poignant?
But, it left me with a bad feeling - like an unattended to detail. That is the only criticism I have of the entire production.
As The Fairy Voice Mother said, "The term masterpiece is bandied around too often, but this qualifies as a master piece and Dimash is possibly the most creative individual alive in the world."
I agree. We are blessed to have him and, be able to witness his brilliance; the love it bespeaks of whom and what kind of man he is and hopes each of us by his example will strive to be.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. With friendship Rui Baptista

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER.
The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace.
The This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else i noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

Glad to see you back. I hope you and yours are doing well. It has been way too long; I always enjoy and appreciate you genuine reactions and value you insightful analyses and comments. FYI, the song is called "The Story of One Sky." Dimash wrote the music and directed the video, someone else wrote the lyrics of the song. Listening to him performaning this live is absolutely stunning and an emotional rollercoaster. Here is the link to one fan cam recording. ruclips.net/video/yjlhHoger48/видео.html
Btw, you can avoid the commercial interruption by installing an ad blocker for free.
When Dimash premiered this song at his concert, he gave a speech prior to singing the song. I think that speech is important and gives context to the song and story:
"Many thanks, dear friends; before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much.
We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next. But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true.
We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children, we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children. They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people is pure. Young children have such qualities.
I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago. Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world. It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart. To tell you truth, many thanks to God and with your wishes, I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours.
One thing I understood is that if you look at ordinary people, there is no such thing as a bad nationality, there is no bad nationality! I don't need to tell you what you already know about the reason for mentioning the topic of nationality here…
Let there be peace in the world, Let there be peace. Let there be no war. Let no people, let no nationality, let no country suffer! Because after all, ordinary individuals, ordinary people are not at fault. The truth of the matter is, no ordinary person is guilty of starting a war! That's why the next song I'll be performing in your honor is about our common fate under one sky, it's called "The Story of One Sky.”
    Hope you like it."

Lukas, on the onset let me tell you I truly don’t make comments, I’m incognito in social media for many reasons I can’t divulge; but trust me when I say there’s a reason for it. But must admit Dimash has become my “ Secret - Go to guilty pleasure!-“ Closeted- No Pun or malice intended btw.…. All good & positive. Timing is everything as I’m sure you know…You must admit he is a Gift from the Universe Totally Fab Dahlinks as they say in NYC! Keep them coming. Your a breath of Fresh Air as Dimash is to this F’ed up world we are in. Kudos to both of you!

I love your reactions. This was a masterpiece. The shooting scene was difficult. Watching ,you see the travelers and his wife almost begging him not to. I think what it showed was there was no right way. Whether he kills him or not it will not solve it. Him dying also shows no one wins in war or revenge. There will always be another piper. We choose life must be believed by all in order to live in peace.

    Great reaction, thank you.
Our Dimash is very vocal about the futility and human cost of war. He detests war and has stated that wars are always between two people not two nations.
He has said that he is 'only a singer' so all he can do is 'use his voice'. This is Dimash's humility and him using his voice. Dimash composed the music and wrote the screen play.
This was a project 3 years in the making on and off in-between commitments in many countries and his homeland not to mention his concerts of which there was four in 2022 alone. Dimash premiered The Story of One Sky live at his concert in Almaty, Qazaqstan on the 23rd September and the video released on the 24th.
The emotion, heart and soul is real and I believe this was a way for him to vent his frustration at current world events. It’s mostly about life, death and rebirth.
Director Alina Veripya is second to none in her field and portrayed everything magnificently.
I believe she also directed ‘Okay’ for Dimash which was a great video.
The Story of One Sky is an absolute mind blowing masterpiece and deserves unrivalled recognition from all corners of the earth. This makes you sad, cry and smile but leaves you questioning the direction we as a humans are travelling.
Dimash promised something epic and that was a colossal understatement. He delivered as always. ❤💕🕊

When Dimash premiered this song at his concert he gave a speech prior to singing the song. I think that speech is important and gives context to the song and story:
"Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words.
We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children,
we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children.
They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities.
I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago.
Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world.
It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart.
To tell you truth, many thanks to god and with your wishes I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours.
One thing I understood is that if you look at ordinary people, there is no such thing as a bad nationality, there is no bad nationality!
I don't need to tell you what you already know about the reason for mentioning the topic of nationality here...
Let there be peace in the world, Let there be peace. Let there be no war.
Let no people, let no nationality, let no country suffer!
Because after all, ordinary individuals, ordinary people are not at fault.
The truth of the matter is, no ordinary person is guilty of starting a war!
That's why the next song I'll be performing in your honor is about our common fate under one sky, it's called "The Story of One Sky".
    Hope you like it."

Young Dimash and the girl have on the same pants and she the same shirt.VERY astute of you, noticing right off the bat that the necklace was on the uniform! I'm impressed. At the end, the baby that was born was HIS baby, who is the promise for peace in the future and he went on to lead all religions in the afterlife. And Dimash just got a full scholarship to take directing lessons in CA. Very nice reaction! But DUDE, there IS a way around those damned commercials!!! I can't tell you on here but there IS a way. Dimash is one of this year's 178 recipients of the Bolashak program which provides scholarships and internships to young Kazakhs in order for them to pursue their studies, masters or doctoral degrees in leading universities across the world. From what we know of Dimash, his sense of responsibility and respect for his roots, he isn't going into this just for the heck of it. For sure there will be future cinematography work in Dimash's artistic journey and at only 28 years of age, he's already dared showing the world his values in a most direct, harsh and yet beautiful way. You said it and I completely agree, Dimash is an artist to be reckoned with. As they say in French, "il n'a pas froid aux yeux" and more commonly, "he ain't just a pretty face"!

Hi Lukas Hassel. DIMASH FOREVER!!! With love from Russia.

The boy who saved Dimash from drowning tried to kiss the girl and she rejected him, that's why he had that look on his face and wasn't so happy to except the gnomon ( triangle from a sundial) from Dimash. This is the most expensive MV ever made.
Great observations Lukas, with figuring out who was who at the different times from childhood to adult. The lyrics say a lot and so does the video that accompanies it. The other message, the one of the unity of the various religions going together as a group is exciting and daring to do too, as is the entire video. Dimash shows he's not afraid, even at this early stage in his career to put his values forward, and he has most of us Dears united behind him too. He first showed this to a Religious convention in Kazakhstan and the Pope awarded Dimash with a medal for it. They too seem to like the message.
Hope to see you do more Dimash reactions, it's nice to hear your thoughts.
Love from a Disciple of Dimash, Los Angeles Chapter

Waldenberg is a town in Germany, the very last town to be absolutely obliterated with bombing in 1945. That the girl grown up who became Dimash's characters wife giving birth while her husband finds their little girl, the one from earlier, dead. His voice matches his despair and grief. The people were religious pilgrims searching for peace. Remember its not Dimash just a character. The storm matches the rage inside the soldier who has to kill his old friend to stop this slaughter. Then Dimash's characters son leads the pilgrims. Don't worry his vocals were all healthy. Yes every vocalisation was Dimash.

Nobody knows what his plans are because he hasn't said anything about it. It is an exciting opportunity to learn more about something he is clearly interested in but we'll just have to see how he decides to do it. He is also still busy with his doctorate. Becoming a full-time student for a year is unlikely. I cried the whole time when I first saw the video.
What does the video show in my opinion, it only shows children in their innocence but one of the boys is already unsure, probably because both like the girl and only one gets her. The one who doubts becomes a dictator, he believes he is right. The other one, played by Dimash, also gets into this war as the attacked one. The woman who bears the child was once the girl in the boat is Dimash's wife. The little girl in the film is their daughter.
The baby represents the next generation in which all hope is placed. Dimash in the end is not the reincarnation but the grown up child, Dimash son walking the path of peace.
The scene in which Dimash kills the dictator and is shot himself shows not how to act, but the perfect cycle of violence and the futility of war. He's acting out of revenge. But it also kills itself. It was officially said that it was meant that way.
The Wandering People from all religions are meant to symbolize that they should unite all people no matter what religion they have.
The world is full of war and Dimash suffers the most because innocent children suffer greatly. He wishes for peace.
What remains as a conclusion for me, no longer participate. Would I have the courage to refuse war if asked? I probably won't get into such a situation, but imagine it's war and nobody goes there.
I know it sounds naive, but one always scolds the leaders, only, sorry, what would the leaders be without those who let themselves be led? We all participate in one way or another.
The only thing left for me is to live in peace in the small area around me and I do that as best as I can. If each of us did that, a lot would have been gained.
A powerful video with a gigantic message to all of us.

Money cant buy this video. This is the video for the ages. This will survive the centuries and will tell the story of us in this pitiful century, of warring humans under one sky that’s a witness to our atrocities as a specie, in the next millennium of earthlings. ❤But the child’s birth in my mind is symbolizing the innocence of hope, and the promise of a better future is born again.

Any good work always allows the viewer to become a co-author, allows us to create interpretations ourselves, but within the limits of the main author's message. A complex work often requires repeated careful viewing.
This film is full of symbolism. From the very first seconds, we are shown frames of the cyclical nature of the story, but we will be able to understand this only after a second viewing. An obscure figure, a drowning man... Is this a young man dying on the threshold of his big life, or is this a warrior who completed his life path both for himself and for many other people?
We are at the beginning of the life cycle, and the lace in the foreground unequivocally reminds us of the umbilical cord. A boy who has just drowned is ready for his second birth...
Dimash's first message: we are born equal, pure, potentially good people. Children are an unwritten book in which life can fit any plot.
We see three friends who, as children, are full of nobility and courage (an older boy selflessly saves his friend), a thirst for knowledge of the world and a thirst to share these discoveries. However, already at these stages, the first signs of disagreement appear: a brave boy, pumping out a friend, looks for approval from a girl with his eyes. He wants to look like a hero in her eyes. But the girl does not notice this, her heart has already been given to another, and only his fate cares about her. That's the first disappointment of life - a feat will not make you a hero. You can't expect a fair reward from people. A friend may not meet your expectations.
What other disappointments will this boy know, who eventually transforms from a selfless young man into a ruthless and cynical dictator?
The amulet (the arrow of the solar clock showing both time and direction) has become a symbol of different ideas in the hands of our heroes. For a couple in love, it is a symbol of unity, indicating their common path (they have become a married couple, they have a daughter and a son will be born in the final). Another boy never accepted this amulet as a symbol of friendship (he does not wear it on his chest near his heart), he bent it in a fit of rage (thus the arrow stopped pointing the right way) and used this amulet upside down as a symbol of his false inverted ideals. He became a dictator (in the lyrics of the song - a Pied Piper, who draws children to destruction with the sounds of his lying flute).
Many years later we see that the Dictator unleashed a bloodbath in the name of his false ideals. Many believe that Dimash portrays the opposing side of Good to Evil. I see something else.
A patch on the sleeve of Dimash's character is poked into our eyes several times: a complex interweaving of sharp corners and circles. Dimash's character is not a leader, he is an ordinary soldier who has also taken some ideological side. What do these circles and angles represent? Who stands behind Dimash's character and pushes him into battle? Maybe he's protecting his city from invasion? Apparently not! Everything points to the fact that this is a civil war, because the action takes place in their hometown. All three of them lived in this city, and now they are feuding and destroying their home.
Waldenberg in this clip is the personification of the whole planet. We all live under the same sky. And in this sense, ANY WAR is a civil war, fueled by various but ALWAYS false ideas, including territorial claims. I think this is the second message of Dimash, directly following from the title of the clip.
Therefore, behind the back of Dimash's character is another exactly the same Pied Piper, with complex, confusing and false ideas pushing his followers into this meat grinder.
The plaque with the name of the city in Gothic script Waldenberg is a direct reference to the real German city of Waldenburg, completely destroyed by Allied troops during World War II, when there was no need at all, because by the end of the war there were mostly only women and children in this city. The one who was supposed to bring good brought evil.
Dimash's third message is that war has no good sides. All participants in wars are somehow agents of evil.
Is it an accident that Waldenburg translates as "The City of Waldemar"? Well, or Vladimir in the Slavic version. Both leaders of the modern confrontation are called Vladimir ...
Dimash certainly sympathizes with his character, he understands what exactly drives his hero, but does not justify his actions.
When his character, driven by anger, despair and revenge, comes to the Dictator for retribution, then a storm begins in a world where souls of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities, epochs who have chosen the road to light (good) have been walking along a thorny road for thousands of years of human history! Dimash's character, having killed his savior, thanks to whom he lived all these years, immediately receives karma in return and returns to the waters of nothingness, where he should have stayed many years ago. At the moment of death, the thirst for life gives him the last most powerful life lesson: acceptance of the idea of the primordial value of human life. FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Even for a Dictator! Even for his daughter's murderers! This is the fourth very important message of Dimash. In a near-death epiphany, his hero sees in flashbacks the moments of his life, both bright (shots from his childhood) and unrighteous (shots of how he takes the lives of his opponents). Dimash's fifth message is to rethink your values, it's never too late to repent. It is this repentance that allows the soul of Dimash's character to transform and be reborn in the best version of himself. The waters into which our hero fell are also an allegory for amniotic fluid, an allegory of reincarnation in the body of his newborn son, who, having received such a powerful life attitude from his father, will never take up arms again and will not join any side of the conflict.
The soul of a warrior sinks to the bottom of Nothingness completely. All three characters die in this story at the same time, allowing a new soul to be born, giving hope for a better future for Humanity. Dimash is a Muslim, and he does not preach the idea of reincarnation. Reincarnation here is just a metaphor necessary to convey his messages.
The souls of the righteous, who once accepted the simple truth about the primary value of human life, raising their hands to the dazzling Light that flooded the horizon, meet their new follower, who joined their march towards Light and Goodness. He is an equal among them, who has accepted his mission as a shepherd, among others, each of whom carries his mission on this path: someone blows a horn, calling for unification, someone brings enlightenment to the masses (a book is a symbol of knowledge), someone carries his cross, and someone leaves the race unable to withstand the hardships of the way.
The fifth message of Dimash - the simple acceptance of the idea of renouncing weapons and violence will allow each of us to join this stream of righteous souls. Only when WE ALL join this stream, only then will the wars stop.
Dimash wrote the music and script for this video based on his own long-standing story. Everything we see and hear is the flesh of the flesh of feelings, thoughts, ideas of Dimash. Dimash is an ancient soul.

🙏🙏🙏Truly nice to see you again reacting to Dimash and particularly to this masterpiece 💕💕💕. I really enjoyed your reaction 🙏🙏🙏
I’m enclosing a knowledgeable and deep analysis from Heiderose Kober that you might appreciate:
