Once we get the Necronominous wave from Mythic Legions, we'll finally have our full-on, unarmored skeleton...then we can go through these comparisons again! Also, "Oops! All Bones!" sounds like a good name for a Halloween themed cereal.
I illustrated the packaging for these for Boss Fight Studio, but I haven't gotten any figures in yet, so I can't tell you my favorite in-hand. My favorite to draw was the Gladiator! I enjoyed drawing all of them, but the details on the Gladiator just rock!
Boss Fight's 1/12 scale offerings are some of my most-anticipated figures of the year. I can't wait 'til their Black Taurus (wrestler) action figure drops! Love seeing the review, Dan--don't care a bit that they sent 'em your way for the review. You're always solid, regardless. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
Boss Fight makes the best skeleton articulated figures one can purchase. Their entire HACKS line is amazeballs. Plus, their licensed lines are pretty darn exciting! Just decent people all round, too.
The Gladiator one with the bent sword looks like it’s representing a hockey goalie with those knee pads and that bent sword like a hockey stick. Kinda funny
I needed a plain 6” skeleton figure, for a Crocodile pit scene, and looked at the Golden Axe and Fwoosh skeletons. The bone white Golden Axe figures are too expensive and don’t measure accurately for my scene, so I had to pass on them for my project. MAYBE, I’ll consider those in the future, because they really remind me of the Jason and the Argonaut warriors (AWESOME). The Fwoosh figure seems to have a lot of articulation, but the skulls have an expressive brow that’s not realistic and they’re currently not shipping - therefore, they’re not an option to me. Fortunately, I came across your video and saw how you stripped down the Barbarian figure to produce a plain skeleton! Fortune smiled on me again, because the Barbarian figure is currently available at BBTS for $30 and it measures perfectly with the figures I’m using in my project… YEAH!!! So, thanks for the great video - I’m SUBSCRIBING!!
I ended up getting the barbarian figure and I really like it! But, I was weak and also ordered the white Golden Axe skeletons from eBay for $120. Those are AWESOME!
I definitely wish they were all bone colored. I wanted the grim reaper/sorcerer type the most, but the blue bones just turned me off. They do look like fun though, I may pick up the gladiator.
Got all of these coming from big bad. They just put up preorders for wave 2 a few days ago. They look amazing. Only problem is it looks like we lost the bare feet with wave 2. We definitely need a full set of hands and bare feet for all of the releases just like the 4 inchers.. I really hope we get accessory packs with hands heads and what not. That is what I'm looking for.
Really cool figures for the most part. Not crazy about the blue and green plastic for two of them though. I'd prefer just a regular bony colour. I really like how they did the robe - I wish Star Wars Black series figures (like the Emperor) were done like that. I did want the Gladiator, but those large greaves look really over-sized and kinda put me off. I am excited for the second round of these skeletons, because I really want the Roman they're doing (it reminds me of the ghost legionnaires from The Twelve Tasks of Asterix).
Emil, this might be one of your bestest, most exciting video reviews. Especially lately. I would say the best version is definitely the mythic legions 😛🍿
these all look extremely sick! debating on a father's day gift for my heavy metal fan of a dad these guys would totally be at home on an iron maiden cover, haha. so I bet he would love these! may even snag one for myself. (assuming I can find somewhere to keep him, anyway) I'd say I'm partial to grim spectre myself, although they're all extremely cool!!
That's the difference between mediocre figurines, and something that adults can collect. It's when someone tells me "you collect that kind of stuff ". I tell them. You're damn right! I do! I look at the sculpture for the intricate details. And the things that they come with.
Only bought the Barbarian.................. Wish they were ALL Bone Colored because I would have purchased all of them. Same thing goes for the Wave 2 I just saw go up for PO.
Yeah it's tough. I like all the characters. Love all the costume pieces but... I do wish they were all bone colored as well. The Grim Reaper character comes with pointing and open hands and I wish I could use them on ANY of the other characters. But the colors don't match so no dice.
@@ToyGalaxy I’ll look around for my Walmart skeletons from Halloween time, those were the granddaddy of this push IMO. I really have no idea how none of these companies have picked up the skeleton warrior license yet. Probably Nacelle I did before anyone could 😂
I love Boss Fight because their attention to detail is amazing, especially for 1:18 scale, which is my preferred scale. I hope they don't fully give up on that scale. I still want that bard figure they have shown for my D&D by way of HACKS collection.
Little late to the party here… I was skipping these and thus skipped your video, but was needing some toy talk today and who better than Dan right? Anyway was skipping these because I prefer my skeletons bare bones (really looking forward to the fwoosh’s) and didn’t know that was an option here. You just got Boss Fight a few more sales, as I’m definitely down for a couple of these now, especially the red one in wave 2. Great video! Sheesh, that was a little long winded, sorry about that.
Of these I like the gladiator the best. If they do another one, I would like to see a spaceman with a cracked helmet and a torn up suit like he was killed by an alien or in an accident.
Scale varies a lot depending on the company. Marvel Legends feels a little too small for me. McFarland feels a little too big for me. Personally I like the Mythic Legions scale the best. IMO Boss Fight made the right call by going with the ML scale. They will probably attract the biggest group of people that way.

Oh, so I can partially blame you for pulling the trigger... 😅 Seriously, the card art on these is *gorgeous*!
I didn’t realize how difficult it was to attain Skeleton figures until I tried making a Kelley Jones-inspired Deadman custom figure.
I actually paused the video, jumped on BBTS, and pre ordered. Thanks! Awesome figures!

That is an impressive sculpt. When first saw the skeleton, I thought it didn't have any articulation. How they incorporated the joints is incredible.
Thank you so much for the side-by-side comparisons.
It not only stops you, but it makes you appreciate it more. And also purchasing more like it.

Grim Spectre is giving me Scooby-Doo Space Kook vibes and I'm loving it!🥰
The Gladiator one with the bent sword looks like it’s representing a hockey goalie with those knee pads and that bent sword like a hockey stick. Kinda funny
Wow. Those weapons are really well done.
Cool review, thanks. I didn't know these were carded figures in clear plastic. Cool. They look great.

I bought the pirate. Loved the color and personality. The blue guy almost grabbed me too.
I remember October Toys did a Skeleton Warriors 20th anniversary in 2014 using the Glyos System to connect them together. I bought a few of them.
I have a few. Didn't include them here since they're so much smaller.
RIP October Toys….
Loving the shift back to photobooth videos

I just liked hearing the words "strap on" 100 times
Phenomenal figures...shame they are such different colors as would be nice to swap parts between all four

Very useful information.

Outstanding!
These are really great! I don't have much else to say.
I'm pretty sure these figures would terrify my kids, so yeah, great job BossFight!!
Begun, the skeleton wars have
At some point I'm going to have to grab one of those Kulu World Skeletons.

💀 Spooky scary skeletons! 🎶
Nice review! How tall are these? I am guessing around 5. something inches....?

Skeleton crew!
Looking good.
Dr. Strange might look cool with a pumpkin head.

All good! Glad I was able to at least help pass some time. If it resulted in you getting some cool stuff, all the better!
I’d love to go to a skeleton party, but I’ve got nobody to go with. 🥳
Of these I like the gladiator the best. If they do another one, I would like to see a spaceman with a cracked helmet and a torn up suit like he was killed by an alien or in an accident.
Wave 2 was revealed this week: Spartan Warrior, Roman Legionnaire, Luchador and Cowboy. Astronaut could ABSOLUTELY happen in a future wave.
How do they look inside Hasbro's Dungeons and Dragons Gelatinous Cube?
Skeleton's that are also warriors.. sounds vaguely familiar 🤔
The new Super7 Reaction Greatful Dead skeleton figs look great too if you haven’t seen them yet @Danlarson

You should have said “welcome to the bone show!”
9:56 "Fur Crotch Belt" lol, I guess loin clothes aren't worn or spoken of much anymore. ;)
I said what I said. Also, is it a loin cloth? It's more like furry trunks than anything.
@@ToyGalaxy He-Man underoos?
Have to army build these asap
I assume “Skeleton Crew” is somehow copyrighted, and “Skeleton Party“ is public domain.
That would be a Trademark, not a Copyright, and it appears that Disney has a Star Wars show that's using "Skeleton Crew" as part of the title.
Technically, these guys aren't on a team together they were just hanging out having a few drinks.
Perhaps there is a need for the Top 10 Skeletons of 2023?
Might have to!
Hello Dan, look into kayiodo Gladiator murmillo glow in the dark skeleton figure it looks pretty awesome.
I'll check it out.
@@ToyGalaxy my son came across them on bbts
the bent sword is called a "Sica"
Ah, thanks! I meant to look it up beforehand but did not.
i really like these but they are too expensive.
They seem to have a bit of ulnar deviation. Must be keyboard warriors. 😄
Skullathon.
Pwokkkkkk
Just use those floppy cheap Halloween decoration skeletons that are flat on the back and come in multiple colors, nerd.
