A quick coating of Envirotex Lite food safe resin would make these directly usable. I get mine at Michael's. Use it for sealing drinking horns, leather mugs, etc. You get about 5 years of weekly use before you need to recoat.
Oh yeah, that would definitely work! I have EL for water effects and will have to try it out! Do you coat the outside too since you would have to do the lip of the cup anyway? How does it look with paint underneath?

Hello, this is off topic but a few months ago you did a video on Warcry and said you would do a comparison with Vanguard...did you ever do that I would really be interested to hear your thoughts
No, I never did the comparison video. I prefer Warcry over Vanguard because it is a lot simpler, although if I were to play a full fantasy skirmish, it would be Vanguard. It's funny--Mantic's Vanguard became more complicated akin to Kill Team and Warcry became simpler like Deadzone. So I played a lot more Warcry than Vanguard.

how do you seal them so the paint doesn't wash off if you drink directly from them and wash after?
The camo brown turned chalky on my mug, is that normal? Brand new can and I cleaned the print with alcohol before painting.
There will be some race mugs I believe...Elf, Half-Orc, etc.
I saw that their first race cup will be for elves.
I'm curious, could you use the 3D print out to make molds from so you could make ceramic mugs?
You could do that but at that point, I would resin print them to completely get rid of layer lines. Or at least print at .1mm height.
what is that scaffolding set in the back when painting the mimic mugs teeth and mouth?

Do the cans actually stay secure in them?

biutiful work
Very nice job!! Bought the set and am printing them now. What did you do with the Paladin mug? I just can’t decide!!! 😫
I haven't printed that one yet--I would probably do just a silver with some blue accents.
It’s a beautiful print. My son has decided to go with a matte silver on the hammered part and a shiny gold leaf on the base, burst and side pieces.
I was hoping to see how you primed them. Did you prime the inside of the mugs as well?
I just spray painted with rattle can--Rustoleum 2X Ultracover black primer. No, I didn't spray the inside. I print everything in black PLA.

How we can ensure they are healthy for drinking hot/warm drink in it?
I wouldn't drink directly out of it without a can or bottle. That means no hot drinks unfortunately.

I use acrylic craft paint but these mugs are NOT meant to be used to drink directly out of without the cans! These are strictly can HOLDERs.
