Just as beautiful as ever! I started school in Page in 1960. My dad was an electrician so we lived there until 1967. I have wonderful memories of the area, but, watching was bittersweet for me because, the last time I was there in the '90's was with my husband. He died in March of this year.

The only time I crossed the Glen Canyon Bridge was in 1964. I was 10, and my folks took a spring break, to see my Grandmother in El Mirage AZ. They were still working on the Glenn Canyon dam then. I missed a week of 4th grade classes.

I watched my daughters friends dog last week, they went to Lake Powell for 6 days, Wednesday to Tuesday, with all their family and friends, they rented a house boat, when I saw those two house boats I looked at the picture of the one they rented that she sent me in a text message. The one they rented was bigger and cost them just over $11,000. Can you believe that? crazy.

During my tour inside that dam (1993), there was an interesting exhibit which demonstrated the electromagnetism that is all around you. There was a tin cylinder with no top or bottom lid that was mounted on thin metal pin. It was painted in 'barber's pole red and white inclined strips. And the fascinating thing was, it was spinning all by itself indicating how much electromagnetism was surrounding you. Hence the warning earlier on in the tour that anyone with a heart pacer device should NOT go any further inside the dam.
