@@SocialWiizard it’s been a GREAT car thus far. I took it to Maserati for the first oil change (it’s once yearly) and it was $525. I later took it to a family mechanic and he said they upcharged me and he could do it for $100ish.
I also needed new tires on the car, Maserati wanted $5000 and gave me some bs about having to take apart my magnetic parking brake. I took it to my family contact and he replaced all 4 tires with the SAME TIRES for $1800 (pirelli tires…around $400 each).

@NPC69 Hi, I have absolutely no issues with mine as a daily driver. This is a car that needs to driven. Just service the car when needed and you will be fine. The engine sport mode just opens up the exhaust to is natural position. This is one heck of a brilliant engine which ever HP you go for. Hope this helps.

I'm surprised Maserati lets the car rev that high in park/neutral! I know some companies are starting to inhibit revs over 4000 while parked to keep it from damaging the engine.

This and the Jaguar F-Type are truly two of the best exhaust notes you will ever hear from V6 engines. Interesting because both cars were introduced right around the same time, and although they are different in that the F-type is a sports coupe and the Ghibli is a luxury-sport sedan the powertrains are similar in that they're both forced-induction 3.0L V6s with a lot of technology built into them for high durability and performance.
Yes they are booth forced induction, but the Maserati is turbocharged and the jaguar is supercharged
+HANSE658 you can also get the engine from these two cars in other cars as well, for example you get the same engine in the Maserati quatroprte and levante for the jag you get the same engine in all their cars

My neighbors love my old Tipo M139 Quattroporte! I usually start the car in I.C.E., which is probably the closest thing those older cars have to an ECO or Quiet mode, but it still has a wonderful little rumble, and they’ve commented many times on how much they like it!
I have the pleasure to listen to this symphony everyday. For a classical music lover, is the best exhaust note possible.

I actually heard the exhaust in person on a cold start, I thought it was a V8. It was loud and it was bassy as hell. I loved it. I didn't know it was a V6 twin turbo.

+BBDSmint That's the older Quattroporte. It was notorious for very bad reliability and that contributed towards its shocking depreciation. The newer Maserati's are holding up more well but still have the typical european luxury car depreciation trend.

Diesel engines tend to rev lower than gasoline engines

George Chaplain higher compression ratios in diesels make them more efficient, but the downside is pistons can not revolt as fast. That’s why they usually are torquey, but have less power (power = rpm x torque)

Cristian Chavira The things lose value like crazy and are way to expensive to fix for their price. Not to mention pretty underpowered. All of their cars sound great, but they are pretty behind in terms of performance.

My business partner has had a Ghibli for a few months and regrets the decision. We looked at it together at the 2014 L.A. Auto Show. He salivated over the design and I cringed at the interior quality. Car sounds great. Car performs great. But the interior quality is terrible. Parts don't fit well, leather driver's seat (after just 7 months) doesn't wear well. There are rattles, squeaks and it's been to the dealership three times to fix a problem with the tranny, twice for an ABS issue and twice for a rattle near the rear window. All three still haven't been properly addressed.
Great looking car. Straight line performance rocks! Definitely eye candy but its fit/finish reminds me of a 1980s Hyundai.

you should try to change gear after 60k rpm and keep your foot down that will give you a big puff sound

+Jordan Carter +chillout1109 no, not magic. There were continuous small fires in the wheel well which firefighters said came from the brakes. It happened 2 or 3 times because maserati swore they fixed everything and blamed him for hard braking each time, which wasn't the cause. He would just be driving and smoke would start pouring from the front left tire. I guess he just got a lemon lol
