- The Under Armour UA Velociti 3 is the follow-up to the Velociti Wind 2 as Wind gets ditched from the name and UA makes changes to its workhorse daily trainer.
There's a new upper, a softer version of UA's Flow midsole and the outsole has been tweaked too. Have the changes worked to make the Velociti 3 one of the best daily trainer shoes of 2023? Testers Mike and Kieran have been putting it to the long-term test to find out.
Here's our verdict.

It’s honestly not bad on the treadmill or track for hard reps. Something like the Adios 8 is better in every way though.
Love this shoe for the Gym rather than running. Has a bit of bounce, agility and comfort for simple movement but stable enough for lifting.
Thanks for a brutally honest review. A question about Kieran... I know he has run scores of marathons, ultras, the River Run... do those include Boston, NYC, Chicago? Always enjoy both of your guys' opinions/reviews!
Hi (Kieran here) glad you enjoyed the review. I’ve run Boston, Chicago and New York. Got Big Sur on my bucket list.
Tried this and sent it right back to UA. Midsole foam didn't feel noticibly softer to me and the fit was more narrow than the Velociti 2. Really disappointed with it, so I'm going to stick with the 2.
The foam just didn't make sense to me. Just made the shoe taller and heavier without feeling soft.
So, basically, it's a bad NB Rebel copy?
Seems like the stripped down, light speed shoe of old is dead.
