I love how this make Marie FEEL intimidating, like Callie kinda is but bomb rush blush sounds more tense then anything. Like you know your in a battle and know what is attacking you, it’s more a matter of not getting hit then any fear. THIS sounds like a horror game track during a chase, as in you know your in danger you just don’t know how yet.
I’m pretty sure that this is the only Tide Goes Out if Marie lost the splatfest that didn’t just put Marie’s vocals on the Bomb Rush Blush track, good job dude.
I still love the OG, but this version really sounds more fitting to my own Evil Marie AU… more disorderly and chaotic-sounding, and with the faded background vocals, gives off a more corrupted vibe. And yes I do say “Evil” Marie as opposed to “Hypno” Marie since my AU Marie isn’t really hypnotized like Callie. She’s more… Fuzzy 😉
The charger sounds throughout this give me CHILLS... absolutely amazing job with the mix, it sounds like she's fighting against the shades the whole time too OMG

I had an idea- what if instead of the hypnoshades just making Callie angry and slightly unhinged, it swapped Callie and Marie's personalities? If Octavio gave both of them the shades, then Callie would be a blank slate. Show no emotion, never let them know what you're thinking, all humor is dry and dark. Marie, on the other hand, would be full of energy and constantly moving. But not in a happy Callie way- she's manical. Crazed laughter, no boundaries, bloodlust. Basically switching their personalities and dialing all the worst parts to the extreme. It'd probably be difficult to write a story off of that, but it's an idea!

I would just see there being a part for Callie (like Tails from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Octostriker levels) but Marie has a far reach Charger and rising ink at levels. But instead of the shades on Marie, it can be like a spraypaint mask (like in the fanmade versions). I just wish Nintendo could listen to the community and make this

I respect your opinion! They are two different vibes, which is ok! The reason for the difference is that the original felt uninspired, basically just a reskin. I wanted to make something more original. Also I hated the audio mixing of the original version. I have thought about making a third version, but i haven't decided yet because 3 is kind of a lot.

I think the SFX sounds louder and more overwhelming in a way like they want to get all the attention, had to turn off the volume.
