What I love about this is that it wasn't love at first sight, it was love built when they got to know each other.

He was devastated by her death and sat at a bar down the way from where the plane crash happened waiting for them to retrieve her body. The bar still has his cigarette burn marks in it where he sat waiting.

They who make these cinematic tributes and we who watch them are actually in touch with the spirits & souls of the honored in such ways that cannot be fathomed by the human intellect; what a glorious opportunity to pray and ask for blessings for we shall all meet once again, at the gathering of love. Thank you for putting this tribute to Clark & Carole together.

What a Beautiful Couple!!!! Carole Lombard, was Gorgeous, and Clark Gable was so Handsome!!!! They were Married for only (3) Years, when Carole died in that Plane Crash, in 1942, at Age 33. Carole's Mother, also, died in that Plane Crash. I wish that Carole, and her Mom, had taken a Train. What a sad Hollywood ending to Carole, and Clark's Love Story.😣😣😣

Gable and Lombard were great together and apart. They were both great stars and great actors and yet their married life was devoid of scandal, despite the rumors about her jealousy over his leading ladies. Newman and Woodward were the only other big star couple that can match them.

I think Clark loved Carole more than he loved any other person he was married to. He was a shattered man after her death. I know they were only married three years, but how long were they together. A real tragedy, they were sooo happy, they should have had a lot more years together. how long after Carole's death did Clark get married again and to whom. I think he was the first man she really loved

She was a ,ber of the Baha'i Faith. She wrote to Abdu’l-Baha, one of the Cental Figures of the Baha'i Faith, and told of her love for him, as well as her ambitions and her longing to become a successful actress. She said, “If only He approves, I shall not fail.” Abdu’l-Baha’s reply made Carole deliriously happy: he promised to pray for her to be an actress, and a successful one. So Carole, determined to succeed, set out on her career.

Carol Lumbard was a member of the Bahá'í Faith, a religion which emphasizes spiritual unity. Three core principles are a basis for Bahá'í teachings: the unity of God, that there is only one God; the unity of religion, that all major religions come from the same God; and the unity of humanity, that all humans have been created equal with the an appreciation of unity in diversity.

Carole Lombard's death at such a young age is tragic indeed . However this business of a great love between them that Gable never got over is bunkum. Hec he was having an affair with Lana Turner at the time of her death , thats why she was in a hurry to get back to him . If she had not been so hasty she would not have died on that airliner . Some love hey , carol may well have been the pick of the crop for him , .....but he was still messing with the crop at the same time . Hollywood fools , their talent is in creating endless marriages and disfunctional lives .

When Carole Lombard died Gable was having a romantic affair with a chorus line girl named Virginia Grey. It is said he was in bed with Virginia when he got the call about Carole. Strange though because Carole was jealous of Lana Turner and heard they were seeing each other. That's why she wanted to hurry and get back home quickly to her husband. All in all I do believe that Carole was the love of his life.

Dude it's common knowledge that he was a skirt chaser and big time womanizer even when he was involved with Carole Lombard. The reason that she was on the plane that wrecked into Potosi Mountain and killed her is because she wanted to rush home to be with Gable so she could divert him from becoming involved with any other woman/women while she was away selling war bonds.

    • @winnerwolf9546
      @winnerwolf9546 9 лет назад +3

First off im not your dude ...
Secondly you paint him a dinner and her a saint
Third it wasnt anyones fault except the pilot who crashed into the mountain
Third after her death he had a deayh wish of his own and flew five combat missions over fortress europe when he didnt have to
Fourth he never had such a close relationship with any other woman again
Five ....you totally give a pass to all the women who were hitting on HIM ...like he was going out of his way doing casting calls
Women hit on men like him all the time they dont care if hes married or not makes no difference
So maybe she knew that yeah she better not stay away to long and come back to her man he was no slouch and we all know how ruthless women can be
Save the hate for something else he wanted to be buried beside her for petes sake ...

You are right on. It was Lana Turner. Don't know about V Grey, but he did have an ongoing affair with Turner. Even as she left on the plane. I'm surprised anyone remembers other than myself. He was devestated. He did remarry another blonde and they had a son. But he didn't really love her. He knew, it was only Carole, and he lost her.
