@@StudentLankaTube Yes, during and after the Covid pandemic, many Sri Lankans discovered the opportunities, flexibility, and money they could earn in IT. As a result, many young people started studying IT for their bachelor's. This has led to many graduates/undergraduates entering the industry, causing fewer IT internship opportunities right now. I also agree with your point that skills are the most important thing in IT. With my experience, I see that many places value your skills more than your degree. Compared to Asia, Europe, and other regions, this might differ. For example, in many Asian countries, certificates are a requirement, but in Europe, they are just a formality. The most important thing in IT, according to me, is to build your skills beyond the syllabus. Technology is evolving so fast, and your degree syllabus can't keep up.

You're absolutely right! Here in Sri Lanka, rote memorization and certificates are often prioritized. But the global IT market values practical skills. Build a strong portfolio showcasing your abilities, and that will set you apart, even if the syllabus knowledge isn't perfect.
