    Good review and mostly accurate. The 3 does indeed come with front sensors (though dealers will claim otherwise), and the heat pump won't affect the WLTP figures, but will do in the real world.

      The heat pump will increase efficiency in the winter by 1-2 percent.

    The 3 also actually comes with front parking even if Kia brochure seems to say otherwise. It was a pleasant surprise when we picked ours up last week.

    Hi, thanks for this video. About to buy a '4' trim of the MY2020 KIA e-Niro and gutted to find that the 4+ is so much better. Do you think I should still get the 4 without the Sunroof, memory seat, ventilated and rear heated seats, BSD and speed limiter, etc? Will like your opinion and thanks for the video.

    Actually we have a quiet few 11kw ac charging hier in the narround, I live in the Netherlands, so for some regions 11kw is useful😉

  • @manwithcorsae7738
    @manwithcorsae7738 3 года назад +1

    The 11 kW charger is there because a lot of the markets Kia sell in they have 3 phase electric which would provide 11 kw charging as standard (and 7 kW would probably seen a cheap or a downgrade). I suppose it's not cost effective to put a 7 kW charger on cars destined for us.

    The reason the official efficiency figures are the same for the 3 & 4+ are the same is because the test is done in warm conditions with a slight air con demand. With heating in use the 4+ will win but yet to see any real world confirmation of this since both models are so new (FE & 4 both had heat pumps)

    • @florinadrian5174
      @florinadrian5174 3 года назад

      Yeah, it only makes a difference if you have to heat the car but then it's very worth it. Even Tesla is going for heat pumps now.

      @@geoffhemingway3926To cool the cabin, you want to start with the coolest air you can obtain to feed into the heat pump. That wouldn't be from the motor or battery, but usually from ambient outside air, unless you're in Saudi Arabia.

    Any thoughts on differences in 2 and 4+ .
    Kia e niro is cheapest and saving of government grant is important consideration.

    • @EVDoesIt
      @EVDoesIt  3 года назад

      The 2 is quite a lot different with smaller range and less powerful motor. Also less of the fancy stuff. But from what I've heard still drives well and would be a great option if you don't need the kit of the 4+ or the longer range.

      @@EVDoesIt There are two versions of the 2 trim, the only difference (i think) is the battery size. The 64kWh 2 trim comes in just under the £35k government grant limit.

    My wife and I both drive the Kia e-Niro First Edition and have almost 60,000 miles cover3d between us. Our vehicles are very close spec to the ‘3’ and over all spending the extra money would be worth consideration to us when it’s time to change. That might not be for a while though, goodness only knows what will be on the market by then and what price it might be. Well done on a great review.

      @@EVDoesIt Hyundai are launching their new EV sub brand Ionic, VW are gaining momentum with the ID3 and soon ID4. For me, the biggest upset could come with the completion of the Tesla Giga Berlin factory. Not only will it see the launch of the much anticipated Model Y in Europe but also the inclusion of many innovations to the Model 3. Front and rear Mega castings, cell to chassis architecture and the new 4680 cells will just be the start of it. What no one seems to have noticed is that with production in Europe Tesla could well 10-12% on shipping costs and import duty on Berlin made vehicles. Berlin could well see an end to their quality issues also, with a brand new state of the art paint shop and German engineers manufacturing the vehicles Tesla could finally produce the car everyone wishes they would. Exciting times are ahead.....
