I have very mixed feelings about this show. On one hand, it gives everyday people unique opportunities. On the other hand, the sharks often use high pressure tactics to get people to make unfavorable deals. Instead of negotiation, they use manipulation. Like here, telling the entrepreneurs not to negotiate - and acting appalled that the girl wanted to make a counteroffer. Even if there is only one shark, they often make (very) high initial offers - and will accept lower deals. It’s basically gas lighting.
They’re on Shark Tank! They could always try to go to a bank and get funding for their business! It’s a choice! Nobody’s forcing anyone to do the deal!
