i think many of you dont know that there was EA Cricket 96 (Ian Botham's International Cricket 96 in europe) and EA Cricket World Cup 99.
I got Cricket 96 as a bundle when my dad got us our first computer in 98. and a year later he bought me EA CWC 99 which was exactly Cricket 2000 but it didnt had left handers. Even lefthanded batsmen/bowler batted/bowled as right. It was great at that time!
Best one was EA Cricket 07.

in my opinion Brian Lara 99 is still the best regarding game play. Graphics got better and better day by day but those game lost the appeal of cricket!
Shihab Mohammad Lara 99 was awesome, both in graphics and game play IMO. Honestly feel everything wet downhill from then until Bradman came along.
lackofimagination there was no manual appealing, no front foot/back foot shot selection, no swing/seam/cutters variety for fast bowlers and similarly for spinners. The gameplay was a horrible representation of cricket.
Brian Lara 99 is a peice of crap and nothing in front of DBC 14 and Ic2010
Abhinnshyam Tiwari I have Brian lara 99 and dob bradman 2014 both. The graphics of Dbc is awesome but the game is shit. It should have fielding radius and when I play a shot the camera should go with the ball. And don't talk about commentary of DBC. Lara 99's commentary is better than DBC. DBC is a fucked up game. I still play lara 99. I have heard some good things about International cricket 2010. I will give it a try. I will see how it goes. BTW only codemasters can make a good cricket game

I want to buy don bradman cricket 14 for ps 3 here in the states but good god it is expensive to order online. I am a baseball fan who is just getting into the sport cricket and the don bradman looks amazing. Is amazon the only place to get a cricket game in America?

Me too. I am a big fan of this series. I still play brian lara 99 on my android with ps1 emulator. Its very much better than android cricket games. At least it has commentary.
XBOX36035 I used to play Brian Lara 99 for hours on the PS1 until my eyes went blurry and it started looking like a real TV. Then went I went off for a break I would listen to Aggers and Boycott ramble on - awesome game.
i still play ea cricket 2007.....i started using internet in 2010 ...before that i didn't have access to it.My friend gave this game to me and i loved it so much that i still get a new feel when i play it thanks to all those patchers...and player editor makes...:)....i am sad ea not making any more cricket games...if they made i would buy not one but 2

Nice work done! EA cricket 97 is missing. The starts with Richie Benaud video and commentator. I bought first PC in 1998 and used to play that Dos mode game. I enjoyed Brian Lara 99 and I still feel it is by far the best game i have ever played. I have played all the version and yesterday I installed Don Bradman Cricket 14.
How to make the best cricket game in the history?
Follow these steps
1- Take cricket 2007
2- Add some more shots animations, latest squads , grounds and more ashes scenarios......
And there you go ...you have the best game in the history of cricket games....

As far as gameplay is concerned, Cricket 2002 is the best. You feel the effort of hitting a six. I miss it :-(

EA Cricket 07, Don Bradman and International Cricket 2010
EA cricket 2004 is streets ahead of all these for gameplay! Its the only
game I can actually bat for 4 hours and feel absorbed, pure realism!
Also the bowling is a joy, especially the exaggerated swing and spin
depending on the conditions. Cricket games died after EA 2004.

Super International Cricket on the SNES is much better than all of these. Of the ones shown here, Lara 99 is the best.

I used to play Ashes 2009 so much when I was younger. I unlocked all of the equipment and trophies.
Brian Lara Cricket had many names; Jonty Rhodes Cricket, Graham Gooch Cricket. They were all different versions of same game on DOS and boy they were fun.

Brian Lara 2007 was the best for me.
Brain Lara 99 was very good game, i used to hit sixes with enter key they a friend of my elder brother told me that if hit it with Ctrl+Enter then it went out of the ground :) I love those shorts .. Ashes 09 is now my most favorite...
comparison between the Bria Lara 2007 and ea cricket 2007 . I think graphics is the best part of ea cricket 2007 and gamplay is better of Brian Lara cricket 2007.

Great clip and agree with most that Brian Lara/Shane Warne '99 is still the standout. However, International Cricket on the NES was an absolute gem and the gameplay still holds firm today compared with modern games.
Ashes cricket 17/18 and Don Bradman 2017 are the best
Never played Brian Lara 99 but I found it so appealing bowlers and batsmen action wise. I have only played EA 07. Doesn't matter how much time it takes they should put more variety of shots n bowler actions.
to me, cricket 2004 was far better than 2007 in terms of short selection, day/night match features, variety of stadiums etc

They should improve the gameplay of brian lara 2000 ... ball camera was awesome like a TV style. They should adapt few things from the old version to make it more realistic gameplay like WWE series

I don't find the modern day video games exciting anymore. the 1990's and early 2000 video games were the best. I totally enjoyed playing Cricket, Football and WWF with the TV Video Game. joysticks were do much fun :) but now there is so much pressure in our lives:(
