I think a lot of us have grown up with you and as we get out of our 20s we’re more interested in lifestyle vlogs rather than interested in buying merch or being influenced into consuming more
Also, maybe you could do a merch drop where you have inexpensive pieces AND more expensive, higher-quality ones. That way you could appease both audiences at once, as long as you're transparent about the quality difference from the get-go. I feel like I don't see a lot of creators doing that, so that could be cool
Yes! I would love some merch from Alisha. However, most merch (other RUclipsrs included) put their prices a little higher than what my price range is. I would love if all RUclipsrs had merch that was on the pricey side thatis high quality as well as merch that might not be as high of quality but is more affordable
When I clicked in, I thought this video would be more about shadowing one of her team members for a day, similar to how she followed Parker around in the clothes warehouse. It would be cool to see a video like that where you highlight what your team does on a normal day and show what work goes into the “Alisha Marie” brand. I know a lot probably can’t be shared but I was intrigued by the idea!
Brilliant to have some more management and marketing content as someone who is self-employed, this was incredibly useful. Thanks, Alisha! Hope you are well and enjoying 2024 ao far. Here is to the year of gratefulness and accomplishments. ❤❤
I love when creators have merch that is always available if you have a foundation of general basics down that is available year around. People can save money, or know to go purchase for gifts etc. Limited merch is unappealing for me personally! Buying a $80 hoodie is a treat imo and can’t always be purchased at random
this is so cool to see however if I had any input to give it would be to focus less on pushing product and consumerism. I’ve been watching you and other RUclipsrs for a long time but 1. I don’t need/want to keep buying 20 more hoodies with your brand on it and 2. Buying merch is not a priority in this economy. Maybe your demographic is actually well off in terms of money but many people are struggling and spending $50-80 on merch instead of groceries or bills seems like a bad idea. Idk, just my thoughts, personally, seeing video after video of someone trying to sell me something is exhausting.
Agree with this! so tired of watching videos saying "you need this", single person struggling to pay bills over here. Love that Alisha is open and wants to hear feedback. love the BTS!
Instead of complaining about dent and drawing it more to you, why not find out how to make .ore money and elevate your life instead of trying to bring other people down. Misery loves company but it doesn't stay long.
Omg yes..I've had to stop watching people that I've watched for years because every video is sponsored or a haul of a crap ton of makeup and clothes. It just seems so out of touch with most people's reality right now.
Love the better quality hoodie option even if it’s pricier. Would love affordable options like an aesthetic Alisha Marie journal or other smaller merch items for those of us that still want to purchase something but maybe don’t have the budget.
I do love the Canon type of partnership (expensive, but great quality if you're in the market for it), and perhaps the shampoo-like one works well as it is a product everyone re-purchases. However, I would stay away from random consumerism stuff that we don't need like clothing and random gadgets. Thrift stores are overflowing with clothes, and it sucks to see so many people do decluttering of items that still do the job. Tons of clothing and trendy gadgets get "decluttered" or "thrifted" but just end up in landfills. So I say, just stay conscious of items/ partnerships that won't influence as bad into our over-consumerism world. + in this economy lol, it's tuff rn😅
I’m someone who would've spent more money on higher-quality items three years ago, versus now. I think I'm just over the overconsumption of consumerism at this point. I don't tend to watch materialistic videos anymore.
the idea of a whole team to discuss her channel takes away from the realness of it. it makes her videos hard to watch because she’s all professional and clean cut now…
I rewatched this and sobbed thank you so much for caring about us. I struggle to pay my rent because I 30k for college. So any deal I can find is amazing and trustworthy influencers are very hard to find. Thank you for always being so understanding. Followed you from the start love you so much. 🇨🇦🇨🇦😊
Honestly love this perspective! As someone who is trying to break into the social media/creative direction/analytic role this is very nice to see the BTS! Smart business women! Love you girl 💓
I think she meant work day at her management company which is a 9-5 business...she was referring to them as 9-5 not herself if that makes sense? Most of her viewers know her main part of the job is making content...she had editors as well so I think she just assumed we'd get it
I think it’s misleading then. If you look at her vlogs for the last several months, the thumbnail includes a succinct statement about what she does in the vlog. “Office workday 9-5” implies that she worked at an office from 9-5. If what you are saying is true, then her thumbnail is just clickbait for everyone to come watch her work a full day, only to find she was there for prob 3 hours. I’m not trying to start a war here at all, but I’m just calling a spade, a spade. I’ve done some masters level courses in marketing while obtaining my MBA and it’s quite obvious that it is a draw for views. I have watched Alisha on and off since she was much younger and less successful. She has been capable of creating the type of success that many only dream of. But in my insignificant opinion, she’s toeing the line of appearing very out of touch with things like this. I’m sure many of us actually do work a 9-5 (or in some cases much longer hours, closing in on 50-60 hours a week) and employers these days are not paying enough to keep up with inflation, yet many people are also just happy to have a job to make ends barely meet. The financial stress that many are feeling might make them feel somewhat resentful at this statement purely because they are all working very hard for a tiny fraction of the income she sees per month. I think she should/could focus on creating content that continues to be an escape for people rather than attempting to try to ‘relate’ or pull views in a seemingly misleading way.
Even if she’s not sitting down at a desk for those hours, she very well could still be working. Content creation does involve a lot of time and dedication and if you want to be good at it, then it usually involves a lot of planning and time management. Good content creators don’t just go viral overnight. And if they do, they rarely stay relevant for long. Especially when starting out, there is a lot of research and planning that goes into DIY-ing it until you have a team put together to help alleviate a lot of that work. Not a content creator, but they do a lot of the same research and prep work that businesses have to do for their own marketing, of which I am familiar with that regard.
for merch I feel like i'd love an average range of $50-$60 for a good quality sweatshirt (more embroidered would be nice). yes please post more of these vlogs!
Love the behind the scenes! Input on merch would be a variety of items. Have your high quality leggings but also have more affordable pieces like: stationary, tumblers, stickers, etc. and designs that are a nod to you. I’d totally buy notebooks or stickers with a collage of your eras on them for instance.
Coming from the 17% I enjoyed this vlog very much. I came across lifestyle influencers during the pandemic and that saved me. It felt like I had a friend to hangout with while the world was shut down. I don’t relate to all the makeup and glamour but I dig the vibe of your videos because I relate to and see the growth you’ve had since 2020. Life’s a journey ! And you’re sharing yours with the world. Cheers from San Diego, CA ☀️
As a subscriber since when you and ash first ever moved out. I’ve grown with you. As a 3rd year university student now, yours and Remi’s content is what I immediately go to whenever I’m not studying or working. Sometimes though, I wish your content was a little more informative? I guess? Idk how to explain but I wish I always learned something from watching the videos or podcasts that I’m spending a big chunk of my time enjoying. I agree with a lot of the comments about maybe promoting consumerism a little less. It’s hard as a broke uni student to see all these things I want but lack the space and money for LOL. I’ll always enjoy your content as it’s an escape for me, but I do sometimes wish that it could be a learning experience. I liked the insight into the business knowledge you have in this one! Take that as you will! ILY🩵
i definitely think you should think about making the lengths of your videos longer. A lot of people in “your lane” so to speak all make longer and more in depth videos that it wouldn’t matter if there was an ad because thats not 1/2 or 1/3 of video like the one from the previous week. I just don’t see the point of 10-13 min vlogs but I still watch because I you are one of my comfort youtubers.
I just love to be able to keep up with you growing into the working woman you have become and inspiring me to finally do my steps to get there too someday ❤

They have a team behind them that get affected by their decisions and all their controversies. They got to focus on their brand, they are partnering with companies and other creators. They probably care about social issues behind the scenes, that is their private life. Respect that.

loveeeed this vid. As someone who wants and is trying to start this stuff it’s awesome to see bts and stuff like this! Love you sm been watching for years keep going girl 😍💗💗
At the end of the day with every influencer we are going to find something to critique them on or wish they would do more or discuss more. I think there is an influencer out there to appease everyone’s liking and maybe for the people commenting “she needs to do better” and stuff maybe you’ve just grown away from her content and it’s time for you to find an influencer who does create the content you are wanting/ you’re more interested in. Also even tho influencers ask for subscribers opinions most of them will not change how they make their content because it’s based on what they themselves are interested in, not the viewer. So it’s the viewers job to go support/subscribe to an influencer who satisfies them and what content they are wanting to see.
Just to add to my comment^ I enjoy watching light hearted fun videos about shopping, skincare, etc because it brings me away from my reality for a split second so I can enjoy something and takes my mind off having to work tmrw a true “9-5” job. I don’t wanna come on social media and all influencers be talking about present day events happening, mental health etc… because I hear and see that shit on social media and news websites. I’m watching influencers who have light hearted fun videos because it brings me away from “real world problems in present day” RUclips is my escape at the end of the day to relax and see fun videos
As someone who works as an advocate and volunteer for mental health, I want to thank you for no longer doing Better Help sponsorships. It shows you genuinely care about your viewers and aren’t going to choose a sponsorship just for the paycheck. I think it shows when influencers do research into what they’re promoting and actually believe in it. It’s obvious to viewers when influencers are just pushing a sponsorship because of the paycheck.
@@JadaRenee they were recently fined $7 million for secretly recording peoples therapy sessions and selling their sensitive mental health information to third party companies. Also their “therapists” only have to complete a small better help course to be considered a better help therapist, a lot of the therapists on there are not actual qualified therapists
loved this insight!! maybe for merch there could be pieces that were less expensive and then others that cost a bit more. for instance, a good quality cap would cost less than a good quality hoodie… that way various budgets could buy your merch and still get good quality!! love getting to see the business side of your brand - so interesting and inspiring🥰

As a college student currently studying marketing and communications, thank you so much for this! It was really fun to see the behind scenes of this.
Amazing ❣️
Yes me too!!! So helpful.😁
Its such a great idea seeing behind the scenes that you do on RUclips

LOVE this video. I like vlogs where we're a fly on the wall, it really makes me feel connected as an audience member :)
not really sure that a 2 hour meeting is the equivalent of a 9-5 job
I was thinking the same thing 😂
i wish my 9-5's had this time commitment and that it was brainstorming ways to get people to open their pocketbooks for me in this economy
