- Here is my guitar cover of "Phantom Days" by Dark Tranquillity. A very beautiful track with a gorgeous guitar solo and also popular request in my livestreams 😁 Opening track from their album "Moment" (2020).
No guarantee that this is the original way DT plays the song on guitars - as always - but I think it's somewhat close.
The guitars (2x2 for left and right channel) are recorded through a Neural DSP Quad Cortex to get the most raw and uncut outcome possible. I didn't edit the audio tracks as my aim wasn't a studio but more a live performance result. So no noise cancelling when I mute the strings 🤣

*These are the Phantom Days!* Three in a row! Then off to something different haha! Guitars are pre-recorded at home, except for the dual solo harmony naturally. This solo is giving me goosebumps. Great song, deep lyrics. Next video I will be working on is the interview with Mikael and Johan from DT, after that I guess you had your saturation with this band here. Well sorry, not sorry. 🤣 In Flames - Cloud Connected and Soilwork (either Nerve or Distortion Sleep) are coming up next!

I need to thank you for giving me the opportunity to rediscover DT (and other bands). I just may love Phantom Days as much as Encircled and Misery's Crown. In my little opinion, Phantom Days is a perfect blend of high tempo rhythms and chirpy melodies(, and a good finger flexercise). "Three in a row! Then off to something different haha! " - 3 or 30 aren't too much, but I guess *I* would say that :)
Your "raw and uncut as possible" recording style produces a really great sound!

DT is one of the most solid, consistent melodeath bands in this world. "Phantom Days" is a gorgeous single released on a serviceable and uninterrupted Swedish conveyor with a picturesque solo. Without a doubt, the cover is amazing. Sound and performance, once you start listening to Jassy, there's no coming back. Even if you don't like metal, you have to admit that this is game, art at its best. Solo: Melodic but groovy, heavy but calm, it is incomparable. Excellent job Jassy.....Excellent 🎸🎸🎸
