I would love to see a video on how you prepare your quail tunnel for winter. Your setup sounds like mine and this will be my first winter with quail. West Central Missouri, so a similar climate to yours, too.
I would love to see your set up, Jess! How will they do in the heat? Here in the Big Island of Hawaii, we typically don't get higher than 90⁰ in the height of summer, and it's always really humid.
Do you have Bob White quails ? We use to have Bob Whites in our area, then some gas and oil companies came and scared them away. I miss hearing their call in the mornings and late afternoons. My Father and I used to sit on the front porch and whistle and hear them respond, eventually they would come up and we would watch them. They are native here, and would love to see a comeback.
Thank you for asking! We do not offer the Bobwhites as part of our regular inventory. In most states they do require permits to raise and release. You may want to speak with someone at your local DNR Office or a Game Warden to find out what requirements are in your state and they might also be able to recommend a Bobwhite breeder to help you get started.

Thank you for watching and for making this great suggestion! 💖
First comment! Currently on my second hatch I have 25 mixed color quail at about 3 weeks and 78 jumbo wild eggs in the incubator! I’m going all in!
Glad to hear it. They are wonderful birds to keep. Just watch out for that quail math! It sneaks up on you. 😄
