Excerpt from _Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland_ _Between the ages of sixteen and twenty, Judy herself was to be approached for sex - and approached again and again. ‘Don’t think they all didn’t try,’ she said. Top on the list was Mayer himself. Whenever he complimented her on her voice - she sang from the heart, he said - Mayer would invariably place his hand on her left breast to show just where her heart was. ‘I often thought I was lucky,’ observed Judy, ‘that I didn’t sing with another part of my anatomy.’ That scenario, a compliment followed by a grope, was repeated many times until, grown up at last, Judy put a stop to it. ‘Mr. Mayer, don’t you ever, ever do that again,’ she finally had the courage to say. ‘I just will not stand for it.’_
@@jketcham9004 The Temple story is about the very important MGM producer and former songwriter Arthur Freed. No chasing, he just dropped his pants in front of Shirley. She wrote of the incident and I believe it 100%. The story about Mayer, told by a stoned Judy into a tape recorder, is pure Judy pity party nonsense.
L.B Mayers Limo was for sale a while back. It was the limo he drove off the lot in when Schenck fired him. L.B was the man to give credit to for building MGM into what it was.
Why did Schenk fire him? I know Schenk was a thug. He went to prison for tax evasion and had a $2 million dollar life insurance policy on Valentino!!! He collected and did not even buy a burial plot for him. Valentino was placed in a barrowed crypt. I always thought Schenk had Valentino poisoned. The medical people said it was rupture of his intestinal lining. Well, that's what poisoning does to you. It eats your stomach up!
Because..Mr.Schenk ordered Mr.Mayer to hire a new head of creative production for the studio and to using too many staffers to write, produce, direct and run the studio like a factory run by a committee. He hired Mr.Dorey Schary(a former producer and scriptwriter from RKO..who worked on one film at MGM.."Boys Town"in 1938).Mr.Mayer wasn't too fond of Mr.Schary's perchant for message films like"The Next Voice You Hear" and"Blackboard Jungle"he complained to Mr.Schenk to stop Mr.Schary from adding so many messages films to MGM's roster..but..Mr.Schenk igorned Mr.Mayer's complaints..finally in 1951..after a very heated argument with Mr.Schary..Mr.Mayer called Mr.Schenk at The Lowe's office in NYC from his office at Metro in Culver City,Cal. and told him"it's either Mr.Schary or me"..Mr.Nick Schenk said to him"I choose Mr.Schary"hence he fired Mr.Mayer and told him to"pack up your office and get the hell out of MGM".before he got to the parking lot..Mr.Schenk took away Mr.Mayer's car..which according to the TNT documentary"MGM:When The Lion Roared"..it was not a limo but..a Chrysler.How..Mr.Mayer got all of his stuff home..is still unknown.
Mr.Schenk tried years before to sell MGM out to Fox Studios..but? Mr.Mayer stopped the deal and it made Mr.Schenk very angry..they both hated each other and despite the friendly appearances they gave at MGM's 1949 luncheon to celebrate the studio's 25th anniversary..they didn't talk very kindly to each other..I've seen that footage..and Mr.Schenk and Mr.Schary said very little..they didn't even clap for Mr.Mayer's speech..which went on too long and he praised himself..not really the people..who worked at the studio.

Homem nojento. O que ele fez com Judy é imperdoável.(Mayer)
I think the year of birth is way off. If he had been born in 1184 he would have to be a vampire!
Where's Kennedy ?
Where's Disney ?
wow
Interesting that
I don't give a shit about Judy. Mickey was short but hung like a horse.
Damn, who pissed in your corn flakes?
